Business is literally suing dozens of customers. Literal scammers stay away. Look up the news report. There teal business model isn't repairing, it's gouging on fees.
ACME = A Con Mans Empire. This company started at the outset of the pandemic, and decided that since they couldn't make money legitimately, they would just con customers and charge outrageous "storage" fees for unfixable items. Their primary revenue stream is these storage fees, and pursuing customers in court. That should tell you all you need to know. Plus, their name is Acme, a cartoon company whose entire purpose is to trick you and blow your stuff up, ala looney tunes. Very telling. Also, not BBB accredited. Check the Better Business Bureau's page on them to understand immediately why.
This company is a SCAM company. Not only did it steal my repair money but I end up finally getting back my machine with the original problem PLUS broken in 3 places. If this company is still open in the next year I would be surprised. Save your money and health. I should've read the other reviews beforehand. You've been warned.
This company not only stole my 5000$ machine(they still have it), but I'm out 700$ for payment of the so-called repair being done. THIS IS A SCAM. How anyone gave them a five, four or even three stars is beyond me. YOU've been warned.
Completely bogus - the CEO is a scumbag. Avoid at all costs. Scam fees and lawsuit happy. Incompetent at best. Borderline criminal.
I sent a sensor for a free repair quote. They gave me a price double then all others I emailed them Can they reduce it. They emailed me no. I emailed back saying then send back Im declining repair. They then emailed me stating I have to go online to their site and hit reject quote. I tried it didn't work so I emailed them this info. They stated it too late to do online. In said I emailed you multiple times declining not my fault site not working. I then get a letter from attorney? Court saying I have hearing for $1875.00 to owe them for storage fees. They still have sensor thats worth $5500.00 and the sensor is 3x3 square how much storage did it take? They advertise free quotes!BEWARE SCAMMMER!
I had a terrible experience with ACME Revival. I sent my FLIR-176 for repairs and accepted their initial quote of $500. After three long months, they informed me that they couldn't fix it and would return the device. However, now they want to charge me $475 just for returning it—after failing to repair it! This feels like blatant abuse and theft.
Their communication was poor throughout the process, and it's clear they lack any understanding of what genuine service means. I can't recommend ACME Revival; their unethical practices and dishonesty make them a company to avoid at all costs. Save yourself the trouble and look for a more reputable repair service!
Don't send them your device. They will give an extremely high repair quote and then expect you to pay a diagnostic fee. If you don't pay, they begin assessing abusive "storage fees" (without telling you) and if you don't pay these, they will sue you. They do this with many, many victims, hoping they will settle rather than travel out of state.
Search for the company and read the BBB complaints--the pattern is clear. Search the Jefferson County court docket to see the number of lawsuits they file.
Unfortunately, I must confirm the recessions described here. I sent in my Identifinder gamma spectroscopy device after being told by Acme that a repair would be possible. I sent the device in and the repair began. At some point I received an email saying that the repair had been successfully completed. The money ($2400) was withdrawn from GoCardless. When I tried the device, I found that the same error was still present. I then complained several times by email to the address specified in the terms and conditions. There were never any answers again. I wouldn't have been upset about honest feedback that a repair wasn't possible. The money is gone and the device is defective. This is absolute fraud. I contacted BBB to help in this issue.
This is absolutely a scam operation. I sent an Activator V chiropractic adjusting tool which needed a new circuit board soldered in and was otherwise in perfect working order. They kept it for months, only communicated with me when I asked about it, finally decided they couldn't fix it, and when they finally sent it back, they sent an entirely different unit and stole the battery out of it. I'm glad I "only" lost $350 on a $2,000 tool, but I wish that I had never gotten involved with this group.
They charge bogus storage fees and will sue you for them. This company is a scam. They won't inform you to pay your bill daily like they say. Do not do business with them.
I have a refurbished oxygen concentrator that needed repair and maintenance. The company I used to use stopped doing these items so I started looking for someone to take their place. On 9/30/24 I asked Acme Revival to use a prior invoice from the last repairs I had done to give me an estimate of how they compared, they refused to do so. So I took a chance and sent it to them which cost almost $100. Their quote was over $1200, I could replace it for $400 and a new concentrator is about half that. They are charging me $89 for the estimate, no wonder they wouldn't give me an idea before I shipped it. As I have not found any other options for repair I told them to keep it and save the shipping, but they said they would charge me storage. Aside from monetary concerns, ecologically, I feel it's a waste to send it back. Hindsight is 20/20 and too late I feel they are not a reliable company to do business with. If you have a choice, go to someone else. Oh and you can't call them and you can't use a credit card. Ref: *******
I normally don't do reviews, let alone bad reviews but this needs to be known to anyone who is considering using their services.
Sent in my equipment for repair. They were very responsive at the beginning until payment. One payment received, I only receive an update everytime I asked, despite having an exclusive tracker website for my device.
Upon (finally) returning my device, the job was so bad that the charging port fell off at first use. (When I eventually got another technician from another company to check, the port was just glued on instead of soldered on)
Anyway, I wrote to ACME to inform of the situation, not expecting much from it. I was surprised that they gave me the option to either send it in again or to opt for a refund. I felt grateful at that time and decided to get the refund instead of sending my device in a second time.
As you can guess, this is not a happy ending as week after week I enquired about the refund status, and customer service replies indicate that the refund is being processed and I will be notified. One month later, after multiple assurance, on my fourth reminder, I was sent a long email detailing that I've signed a prior agreement to accept the charges etc etc. Mind you, I was OFFERED the option to refund and REASSURED that the refund is being processed.
Needless to say I was taken aback and that was my last bit of patience to this company. At this point, I'm very sure I will not be seeing any refund (or apologies) from the company. Just be wary.

Answer: I just got my FDT optical machine back. Acme had it for 2 months. At first they'll hound you for payment. I mean, they'll send you a threatening email every day saying that if you don't pay there will be a stocking fee etc. After you do pay the communication STOPS. After 2 months of this nightmare I finally received my FDT back, which I was surprised by the way. The original issue untouched plus my machine broken in 3 pieces. Please do not do business with these criminals. They should be prosecuted. I should've seen other reviews. You've been warned!
