I PURCHASED A WASHER FROM A HUGE COMPANY AND THEY RECOMMENDED THAT I USE THE ACCEPTANCE NOW PROGRAM. THE WASHER STOP WORKING IN LESS THAN 5MONTHS. I THEN CALLED ACCEPTANCE NOW BECAUSE I WAS HAVE TROUBLE TO GET THE PART FROM THE DEALER. SO ACCEPTANCE NOW TOLD ME THAT THEY WAS EXTENDING MY EARLY PAY OFF PERIOD TO GET IT AT THE CASH PRICE. WHEN I CALLED TO GET MY PAY OFF PRICE I WAS THEN OVER CHARGED. NOW I AM GETTING A WHOLE LOT OF RUN AROUND TO GET BACK WHAT I WAS OVER CHARGED. BOTTOM LINE DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. THEY ARE BIG TIME SCAMMERS!

They tell you it's a loan from the beginning, then hike up the prices and later you find out its a rent to own service. I took out assistance for $980 for a bed last year. They told me I was going to finish paying it in March, but I'm still getting charged monthly. I did investigation to figure out why I was still paying. For my $980 that I took out with them, at the end of my plan I will have paid them $2800. Triple times what I had to pay them. BIG SCAM! If I could report these people to the police I would because they're chiefs.

Theyre dishonest. The scam is the 120 day pay off scam. They give you a payment date that doesnt match your pay off date. Giving you the impression that your last payment is coincides with 120 pay off date. So when you go to make your last payment. They tell you have more payments cause your now in some 12 month rental agreement. They expect to get an extra $900 from a $840 purchase going to make a complaint with the ny state attorney general if they dont resolve this matter. If you go online theres already consumer awareness groups launching lawsuits and complaints. Dont do this program. Theres a push for bobs furniture to drop this program thats taking advantage of poorer consumers in low income neighborhoods like bobs furniture in the bronx. Shame on you bob's furniture

Total crooks
October 8, 2021

These guys are sharks. They are impossible to work with. They have no understanding of practically anything. Competence doesn't even exist here. They are sharks. The literal only way that they're making money is by robbing people. I've tried multiple maybe even hundreds of times to contact them they are a failure to work with. I can't even write in this how terrible they are. DO NOT USE ACCEPTANCE NOW! I REPEAT And warn you do not use them!

PROFESSIONAL SCAMMERS
September 26, 2021

DO NOT RENT TO OWN FURNITURE WITH THIS COMPANY!
We decided to pay off the mattress through AcceptanceNow EVEN THOUGH we had the money to pay it off right then and there. However, RoomstoGo INSISTED we use AcceptanceNow to make monthly payments for 90 days. We signed the contract in May and WASN'T ALLOWED TO MAKE OUR FIRST PAYMENT UNTIL JULY! They told us we had the down payment + three payments throughout the duration of the 90 days. We only paid July and August (TWO PAYMENTS) and now they are saying that August was out last payment and since they decided to call me at the END OF SEPTEMBER there is now interest that has build up in the amount of $3,000! THE BED ONLY COSTS $3000! Basically meaning they want us to pay about $6000 for this bed! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY I AM WARNING YOU!

NOT CREDIBLE!
September 15, 2021

My family and I needed new furniture for our home ( we went to 'Rooms to Go') but didn't qualify for much at the time, until we found a loan through AcceptanceNOW. The total of our bedroom-set was a little over $3,000. Unfortunately, for us, we were unable to pay off the loan in 90 days so our loan amount went to a total of $7,000 with no option of paying it off early in order to pay less. $7,000 firm! Crazy right? The last 3 times I've called to get my payoff total I've been given radically different numbers. I am in the process now of getting my payment history but of course, their internet is supposedly down. I also asked to get ahold of someone to help me make an online account and I was told to call a 800 number that I can't seem to find anywhere and that for some reason they couldn't give to me over the phone.
When you are young and looking for help, it's important to do your research and review your contract very carefully so that no good, money hungry businesses like AcceptanceNOW can't take advantage of you. Thanks for screwing our family out of money that could have helped us get through a tough time.

What is a rent fee?
September 14, 2021

We financed a sofa and end tables from rooms to go through this ridiculous company and every level is incompetent. They told us if we paid the 1376 balance within 3 months there's be no interest charged. What they didn't tell us was that there's an added 400 dollars for a rent fee. So after paying 1000 dollars on a 1300 dollar sofa with no interest, we still owe 900 dollars.

I was talked into going through AN when i was looking to purchase a leather reclining love seat from Ashley Furniture. Went smoothly enough and it appeared to have some great benefits. I put $1000. 00 down on a $1600. 00 piece. In retrospect i should have paid the cash like my gut said. I decided to exchange the piece for another and had to do a new lease through Acima who AN was merging with. I was told that all my money would be reimbursed. That was in June, June 28th my check was supposed to be mailed out. It is now Sept and still no check. Customer service sucks and i have got a different story from each and every person I have talked to and there have been at least 7 different people. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!
They have also refused to pay me the money i originally payed as fee because i di it in the store and not their office. I knew nothing about them until i went to Ashley, who btw has been absolutely no help at all in rectifying this mess! Im done with them both! Spread the word! Im posting this on all my social media!

Ashley's Furniture
September 8, 2021

We went into a Ashley's store looking for decent furniture. We ran our credit and they said our credit score was a bit low for financing in the store. They sent us to the acceptance now desk in store. We were immediately approved.
Little did we know our $150 per month payment was going to double, our $4,000 furniture was going to cost almost $8,000.

So, when we got to the signing I noticed the changes. At this point my husband was so stuck on getting it that he agreed. We both thought at the very least this would help our credit.
NOPE! Just like a rto store it only reports if you don't pay it off. Never again... next time if I can't finance through a bank I'll just pay cash

I did not know what I was getting into because like most people I did not read the fine print or know it was a lease. I thought I was buying $700 for the purchase of a dining room set. I purchase a dining and living room set from Bob's Furniture and the total price was 1400 plus taxes. I put $700 down, was not aware it was a lease I was signing into unto I file a complaint with the Attorney General Office. For $700 todate paid over $2450. BEWARE OF THIS PREDATOR LEASER

My boyfriend and I moved to a new city a little over a year ago. We weren't sure how long we would stay, because it was contract work, and during a pandemic. So, we left behind most of our stuff, including our couch. We're young adults, late 20's, so we're in that still figuring it out stage. We decided to go to Value City Furniture, the guy that helped us was so nice and kind! Sad to know he works for a company that intentionally takes advantage of good people. We couldn't afford to pay for a couch upfront so the credit option seemed ideal. We ordered our couch in July and were promised that it would be delivered the following month. A few days before the delivery day they pushed it back another month. Whatever, it's a pandemic, I get it... the next deliver date comes and its pushed back AGAIN. When we signed our contract it mentioned the 90 days or you get charged the ridiculous interest rates. Well, I believed that 90's day started after the couch was delivered, it was not. So out couch that was supposed to be $1,200 came our to be $3,500! Not to mention how unethical the website is! There is no way of viewing your contract online. It doesn't tell you the percentage rate on your loan and no pay off total. It's ridiculous. This should be illegal. It's programs like this that keep people in poverty.

Crooks!
July 25, 2021

Don't use this company. There signing good people up into very bad unethical contracts. They are unprofessional, rude and don't support Black Lives Matter. There racist and prey off of customers who aren't credit educated, bad or not so good credit. After you've paid off what the furniture store charges you, you will continue to pay for two years or more later. Please read the contract! After six months if your total balance isn't paid off they will double x4 the price to keep you locked in. Not to mention the furniture is cheap and breaks within six months. Your better off going to obtain a loan from Omni Financial or waiting for your tax return. Bobs furniture as well as Value city are both working with this company.

They will harsh you if your one day late. They call everyone. Your friends, family, Employer, leasing office. They will even talk to your neighbors. Any company that aligns with them are also crooks. Knowing what there doing to there customers. I'm in process of suing them currently.

Hiden fees
July 19, 2021

I purchased a mattress from Rooms to go using acceptance now with the intention of paying it off within 90 days. They offered me 90 days same as cash. They didn't tell me they would do a soft credit check. Which I don't have an issue but why not tell me. I have paid this off before the 2nd month with an additional $100.00 for the rental contract. Never told to and sounds stupid. But they said on top of the tax the state charges tax for each payment on top of the original tax. If that was the deal going to be it. But not tell me and change later is BS.

Crooked company. Hires untrained thieves & have the Audacity to blame YOU, the customer. They will refuse to take a payment. Then tell you "You have a $50 late fee". And will call you everyday, but won't leave a message EVER. I wonder why?

Bitter Sweet
July 5, 2021

Understanding completely the condition of your contract and willing to take the high risk is key. I didnt quite understand it all til i got into the terms of the contract. By then i was roped in. Pro is if you pay off early, you avoid penalties and the 100% interest charge. This program can help you or it could severely damage your credit. Con's are paying double the amount for your product if you don't pay off within the 120 day Payoff. I didn't know they are rent a center with a name change. To deceive you, they chaged the name. They make it sound good but do your research. Life happens and when it does you wanna make sure your prepared because the bit is painful. I was able to pay off a few days early and get my certificate of ownership. I rolled the dice once and, don't think I'll be rolling them again with that outfit. The reason I gave them the rating that I did because of their high interest rate. I am one of the very small percentage of people who actually paid off their furniture debt. I wouldn't recommend them to friends or family. It is a trap.
