In a bit of a knee jerk reaction to a temporarily broken scooter, my Mom orderred a replacement from Joe at 1-800Wheelchair.com. Before it arrived, her broker scooter got repaired. Joe was EXTREMELY understanding and had no issue helping to cancel the order, even though the equipment had been shipped. He handled the FULL refund without issue. Very good company. This company sells substandard items. I have found that out two times. The customer service is substandard as well. Got a wheelchair for my wife. Within 3 months the so called leather armrests started to tare and the insides were coming out. It took weeks for replacements. I will never use this company again.
I bought a wheelchair Friday afternoon using Splitpay by Bread. The pop-up window for SplitPay timed out before I could be redirected back to the site, yet my money was still accepted, ($137.00). I received an email from Bread saying that my payment has been accepted and that my order was being processed by 1-800-Wheelchair, but no email from them themselves, and I was stuck at the checkout window because the website thought that I still haven't paid because the window timed out. Glitches happen- it's no problem. I called 1-800-Wheelchair customer service and they directed me to Bread to resolve this. Bread took my info and said that they would reach out to 1-800-Wheelchair with proof of payment so that I can get my order processed.
It's Tuesday now and I still have heard nothing, and neither has Bread after they reached out a second time today. I have called 1-800-Wheelchair three times and they keep insisting that Bread is the problem and refuse to let me speak to a manager. The representatives are very kind, but they simply don't have the resources necessary to resolve this issue, nor do they seem to understand the problems despite me explaining it different ways several times over. They keep asking me to give the confirmation number or tell me that I need to check out online! I CAN'T checkout online therefore I CAN'T give the confirmation number, that's why I'm calling!
You can't withdraw nearly $150 from someone's account and then ghost them when they reach out for their product. This is so ridiculous.
Update: I have finally gotten an order placed manually on their side, but I still cannot speak to a manager about the issues I've been having. It's ridiculous that I had to jump through these hoops all weekend to get a wheelchair. This isn't buying a toy or a piece of furniture, this is something that is essential to my life that we have saved up for. I refuse to air my grievances with a customer service rep as they have zero control over the situation, but a manager does have control and I should be able to speak with them directly about these issues, but they keep hiding behind their employees that can't do anything but apologize.
Update: it's been 2 1/2 days and they haven't shipped my product due to "payment issues." But every question I ask is just met with "you'll receive tracking when available" and she won't elaborate further. I don't understand why a f****** wheelchair is so hard to pay for and ship out. It's been six days since my order was first placed. It's a wheelchair. Not a shirt, not a piece of furniture- it's something that people need and they're treating it like a petty item.
Update: One whole week from ordering and they still have not shipped it out. They said it will ship out today and I'll get the tracking number, but it's now after business hours and I still haven't received the tracking so I'm not sure how they plan to pull that off. I would love to cancel the order but I need this chair and it's $200 anywhere else. But honestly it's becoming worth $200 just to never even hear this company name again.

After they sent the wrong part three times for my 2-year-old wheelchair... I finally broke down and bought a new one from them at a discount of course... This whole scenario took over three and a half months whilst I paid over $1,500 for a rental wheelchair... Then the wheelchair I had bought apparently they had changed the design to a static footrest that you cannot move out of the way to be able to get in or out of the wheelchair therefore making it absolutely useless! 5 months now still fighting still in a rental wheelchair and I'm out over $2,000! Stay far away from this company! First pick is the stupid one they sent me, when you pull the bar footrest up it's higher than the seat that you're sitting in so you can't get out. The second pick is the actual picture on their website of what I was supposed to get!

Make sure you TRY to get what you pay for. However, trying isn't always effective. I purchased this chair with gray upholstery, plus extra upholstery, the upgraded battery, the waterproof gel cushion, foot hooks, anti-tippers, and the push bar. What I still HAVEN'T received is the gray upholstery, the upgraded battery, and the waterproof gel cushion. And not for lack of trying! I emailed and talked to representatives, only to be told "I sent your information to the warehouse" and NEVER have I received all that I paid for. BUYER BEWARE. My disabled husband is the one who is suffering for this. I have never been so disappointed in a company and I paid way too much to not receive the full order.

Beware, do not order anything from this company. I tried to insure I was ordering the correct part (X-Hinge Assembly for a Breezy wheel chair) by calling the company because the description is not clear when there are multiple versions of the same part. No clarification notes were to be found. The people answering were clueless and appeared to be operating out of their house with babies crying and dogs barking. I provided them with the best information I could find and was told they would get back to me. They never did get back to me. Since I needed the part right away I went ahead and ordered the closest match to the parts list which consisted of a dimension that was apparently referring to the seat width. Again no clarification of what the dimensions were, and customer service didn't have a clue. Also, it was not clear that one order was for the entire wheel chair, not one cross Hinge assembly piece. So I ordered two thinking the part number was for one piece. When I received the order, I got twice as much as needed, and the parts were too short, and flimsy looking. I tried to return the parts to reorder a larger part, but they said there were no returns for parts. I looked all over their website at the point of placing the order and could not find the no return policy. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! SALES PEOPLE ARE UNINFORMED, RETURN POLICY IS TERRIBLE, THEY DO NOT WANT TO WORK WITH CUSTOMERS.

Purchased a wheelchair for my husband following back surgery. By the time it was shipped we realized he would not need it. When it arrived, I opened the box to make sure what I ordered was in the box, then called to get a return authorization. I sent it back promptly using their instructions. UPS tracking shows it was returned 3 weeks ago. I have called twice about seeing the credit on my payment method. Both times their response has been, "it is being inspected" and you should see a credit withina couple days. No credit has been issued. I already have to pay a 15% re-stocking fee and the purchase price was over $500. Poor customer service. L

I am an 82-year-young stroke survivor, paralyzed on my left side. I ordered the 1800wheelchair FEATHERWEIGHT. The wheelchair I received had faulty brakes, so tight I could not use them even with my strong right hand. I received no instruction manual. When I called their customer support they suggested loosening screws, which did nothing. I said the brakes were faulty, they stated they can be very tight on these chairs. The tight brake information is not on their website. The person answering the phone was very brisk and dismissive as their day on the east coast was ending. I cannot use a wheelchair without brakes I can use. The return information stated I was responsible for the shipping fee. The FedEX shipping cost me $166.92. Joan
I am still waiting for a featherweight wheelchair ordered over 3 weeks ago. After repeated requests, I have not gotten a confirmed ship date or a notice it will be delayed. If you order a wheel chair you need it. This is not like a pair of pants that you can get by if the shipment is delayed.

I almost bought an e-scooter from this outfit and they almost scammed me off my credit card. Luckily my World Elite Mastercard company spotted duplicate charges repeated right up to my credit limit! The credit card fraud team stopped all the fraudulent charges, even the charge I thought was legitimate. If I would have used a debit card for this transaction I would be alone in my struggle with the fraudsters. The experts say to never use a debit card except for ATM use, preferably at a bank ATM because you don't get 0 liability or a fraud team when using a debit card.
After being informed of all the malarkey they tried to pull on my credit card, I tried talking to 1800 wheelchairs customer service. I could barely understand her and I doubt they understand much English. They sub out their customer service to India to workers who read from a script and you get nowhere with them if you have a complaint, all they are programmed to do is collect money. This speaks for itself. After reading all the negative reviews for this company Im glad my relationship with 1800 wheelchairs was terminated by a credit card that consistently goes to bat for their customers.
With the help of staff I purchased a 845.00 lightweight wheelchair. Ait was too small and the return charge is 84.50 plus shipping. The chair was never used and I was not told about this policy. I am out over! 00.00 to try a chair that the company recommended.

Two parts ordered and neither were correct on arrival. I'm very disappointed in this company, as I've had to wait weeks to get the incorrect parts.
I placed an online order for model H hybrid I received chair in beat up pkg, could have been a previous return judging by the packaging. I paid better than $200 for upgrade from 6Ah battery to 10Ah. I received 6Ah battery only. I called the company today, they blamed health crisis for 10Ah backlog. They stated when they received more 10Ah batteries in April they will send me one. I don't trust they will do that, otherwise I would have been notified at time of shipment.
Don't try to get a return on your money. They have had my returned chair for a month, NO a money returned.

Stay far away from this company. First off, they sent me a used wheelchair. The wheels were dirty and all the boxes inside the package had already been opened, it was clearly resealed and sent as "new".
I sent the chair back and had it signed for Feburary 7th. It is March 17th and no sign of a refund. I received emails from Dannah and the operations manager Evelyn Gonzalez, with a promise to fully refund the wheelchair. That was March 4th. Since that promise, no one is responding to my emails and the customer service rep hung up on me today.
They are a fraud company that STEAL from the disabled. I am disgusted and shocked how they are still in business. Next step is reporting them to the police.
We ordered an electric wheelchair for $2899. They took the money from our account, then sent an email telling us the chair has been discontinued. Its been a week now and they STILL have not refunded the money! I cant imagine what would happen if you actually buy a chair and need service from them. Wish I had never set eyes on their website! Horrible experience!

Although the shipping is fast, they shipped 3 times with something missing. I returned the chair Aug 4,2017. They promised to refund me~$2100. I called many times, each time they told me they would refund me in one week. It is Jan 24,2018, still I havent got my refund yet. I think this is a fraud. I will call police. After posting a review and reporting to police, I received the refund on Jan 25th, 18, finally after I have spent many hours in more than 5 months.

Ordered a desperately needed wheelchair from these folks 07/26/2017. Was told it would ship that day and be delivered 07/28/2017. Never received a tracking number so called them again on 07/27. Was told it shipped about 7 PM 07/26 and they were waiting for the tracking number. On 07/28 still no tracking number so called again. This time was told they ordered my chair from Medline and Medline would ship 07/28. Called Medline and after some digging found order there and they confirmed would ship 07/28. These people lie and their feet really do stink. Don't order from these liars.

Ordered a wheelchair tire and talked to rep that it had to be overnighted. She called their drop shipper and they said they could. When i got email the next day and entered the tracking number it wont be delivered for another 3 days. Called the company the apologized and said they would refund those fees and i said i know you will. But i have 3 shifts to work including monday. Do you u derstand the strain this has on the users hands and back. Can i talk to a manager she apolovized and told me to have a nice day? There is no way to get a hold. Of. Corporate. I called to order a wheelchair and the agent assured me it would arrive 3 business days later (Wednesday). I got a confirmation email with an order number. When I didn't get the chair Wednesday I decided to call Thursday. The agent tried calling the warehouse to see where the wheelchair was and said the warehouse was closed and to call the next day. I asked HER and HER manager to call ME since it was their mistake. They did not. So, I called again Friday and they said the wheelchair was on back order. I was in an accident Friday a week earlier, called and was assured to get a wheelchair by Wednesday, never contacted to say it was on backorder and I needed to return a borrowed chair by Friday. ( which I also had mentioned to the first agent I dealt with). Most people needing a wheelchair need it ASAP and if it's on backorder wouldn't it be considerate to contact the buyer to let them know or check from the start that it's available!? I told them I want them to cancel the order- what's the point of getting it indefinitely when I need one now. To top it off, they told me they wouldn't refund my 216$ until I returned the footplates. What a poorly run business! I will NEVER order from them.

Bought 2 cushions in December 30th, 2017. When I received it, they were too much stiff. Wrote to the customer service and they provided my a return number. Sent back the cushions on January 8th, 2018 and they arrived at 1800Wheelchair warehouse on January 11th. Since that time I wrote many times to seller to get my refund. Always wrote me that the refund is processed, even set me a credit memo, but still don't have any retund in my Paypal account.
