I bought the featherweight scooter in May... It's August and I still can't use it. My first battery that they sent wouldn't hold a charge, so they sent me a replacement after 6 weeks because they didn't have one on hand... It's here finally with no charger and there's not an option to buy one on their site yet... The extra battery that I bought is still not here. The scooter itself is wonderful (what little I got to use it) and the customer service kept me updated through the process, but those two things are the only reason they're even getting two stars! You'll like the scooter, but DO NOT buy it from this company! If you have any problems with it, just be prepared to wait for weeks, months even... Very dissatisfied! Buyer Beware!
With the help of staff I purchased a 845.00 lightweight wheelchair. Ait was too small and the return charge is 84.50 plus shipping. The chair was never used and I was not told about this policy. I am out over! 00.00 to try a chair that the company recommended.
This company sells substandard items. I have found that out two times. The customer service is substandard as well. Got a wheelchair for my wife. Within 3 months the so called leather armrests started to tare and the insides were coming out. It took weeks for replacements. I will never use this company again.
I received my new wheelchair today and it has been awesome. The entire process from ordering to delivery with 1800wheelchair has been great. Lisa is awesome as she talked me through the customization of the wheelchair to make sure the fit was perfect... and it is! Thanks I am going for a roll now.
We ordered a Featherlight Wheelchair on 8/16/21. I was told at ordering it would be shipped the following week. When I hadn't received notification of shipping a couple days after it should have shipped, I called. "Your wheelchair is not in our warehouse. We don't know when to expect them." I waited almost 3 weeks and called again. "The wheelchair is in the warehouse. It just needs to be inspected and should ship out no later than Friday." Called the following Wed. "Your wheelchair is not in our warehouse." REALLY!?!? I know the shipping is messed up right now, but tell me the TRUTH! You either have a training issue, an inventory mismanagement issue, or something. NOT happy!
In a bit of a knee jerk reaction to a temporarily broken scooter, my Mom orderred a replacement from Joe at 1-800Wheelchair.com. Before it arrived, her broker scooter got repaired. Joe was EXTREMELY understanding and had no issue helping to cancel the order, even though the equipment had been shipped. He handled the FULL refund without issue. Very good company. Did not expect a full refund, including shipping - Over-the top doing the right thing in my book.

I had read some fairly poor reports about 1800wheelchair customer response. Thus I was more than a little apprehensive.
We bought the Featherweight Mobility Chair. The left motor gave out. I contacted the company but they were back ordered on parts. When the part came in we were sent the motor free of charge. Opps wrong motor. No problem. We were allowed to keep the right motor and were sent the left one Priority Mail to Alaska. No matter what power mobility chair you buy - they are all made in China and we are at their mercy for parts delivery. We couldn't blame the company for that. The company was as responsive as possible under those circumstances. We worked with Jerry in repairs and he was most responsive at every turn. I just thought this company needed to be recognized for our excellent service. Often people fill out these reviews only if they are unsatisfied. We were most satisfied. My only wish is that there were specified repair places about to service these chairs.
Make sure you TRY to get what you pay for. However, trying isn't always effective. I purchased this chair with gray upholstery, plus extra upholstery, the upgraded battery, the waterproof gel cushion, foot hooks, anti-tippers, and the push bar. What I still HAVEN'T received is the gray upholstery, the upgraded battery, and the waterproof gel cushion. And not for lack of trying! I emailed and talked to representatives, only to be told "I sent your information to the warehouse" and NEVER have I received all that I paid for. BUYER BEWARE. My disabled husband is the one who is suffering for this. I have never been so disappointed in a company and I paid way too much to not receive the full order.
I am an 82-year-young stroke survivor, paralyzed on my left side. I ordered the 1800wheelchair FEATHERWEIGHT. The wheelchair I received had faulty brakes, so tight I could not use them even with my strong right hand. I received no instruction manual. When I called their customer support they suggested loosening screws, which did nothing. I said the brakes were faulty, they stated they can be very tight on these chairs. The tight brake information is not on their website. The person answering the phone was very brisk and dismissive as their day on the east coast was ending. I cannot use a wheelchair without brakes I can use. The return information stated I was responsible for the shipping fee. The FedEX shipping cost me $166.92. Joan
I loved dealing with this company. The product I ordered to fix my rollator was top quality and exactly what I needed. I ordered more than I needed and was able to return the extra pieces with no problem. Their customer service was exemplary and I would deal with this company again and also recommend it to anyone that needs some parts for their assistive devices.
After they sent the wrong part three times for my 2-year-old wheelchair... I finally broke down and bought a new one from them at a discount of course... This whole scenario took over three and a half months whilst I paid over $1,500 for a rental wheelchair... Then the wheelchair I had bought apparently they had changed the design to a static footrest that you cannot move out of the way to be able to get in or out of the wheelchair therefore making it absolutely useless! 5 months now still fighting still in a rental wheelchair and I'm out over $2,000! Stay far away from this company! First pick is the stupid one they sent me, when you pull the bar footrest up it's higher than the seat that you're sitting in so you can't get out. The second pick is the actual picture on their website of what I was supposed to get!
I am revising my earlier comment. I had multiple problems with an order. After posting on this site I was contacted by customer service... there were mistakes which their supplier made and would not resolve but 1-800 Wheelchairs have stood behind all issues.
Dont believe the website they do not honor return requests... They sent me the wrong wheelchair legs with my order... then claimed the manufacturer Karma would not allow an echange... which karma denies... Im in limboand out $200
I found my wheelchair on this site, and when we received it, my husband somehow managed to break part of the footrest/bolt. The company sent out replacement parts for us as a courtesy so quickly, I had almost forgotten I'd asked!

Needless to say, this was the worst customer service I have found in 50 years of life. If you are wanting a wheelchair, use a local company or a different national agency. Maybe you pay more, but at least you should have someone who cares about your order and makes sure it is smooth and timely. This company has no idea how to work as a team and they do not care at all whether your loved one is suffering because she cannot get her electric wheelchair delivered.

Purchased a wheelchair for my husband following back surgery. By the time it was shipped we realized he would not need it. When it arrived, I opened the box to make sure what I ordered was in the box, then called to get a return authorization. I sent it back promptly using their instructions. UPS tracking shows it was returned 3 weeks ago. I have called twice about seeing the credit on my payment method. Both times their response has been, "it is being inspected" and you should see a credit withina couple days. No credit has been issued. I already have to pay a 15% re-stocking fee and the purchase price was over $500. Poor customer service. L

Ordered an item for a parent who died before using it. Return approved and received. I kept getting emails saying it was in process, should be just another couple of days. I emailed, faxed, and left a message with no return call. What a horrible company. Like others I wish I had read the reviews first. My next move is to file a claim with my Visa card.
From taking the order to the return, this company offers erroneous information or none at all.
I am still waiting for my refund with no response from the company when I'll receive it.
Missed promised delivery several times, the site for tracking doesn't work finally reached a person who took info - now no record. Do not stress to your health issues by dealing with this non-customer oriented company.
1800 Wheelchair was wonderful. I needed a high end wheelchair to arrive the next morning and they were able to make this happen! Their staff was responsive, followed up on my request, went over different items with me until I found the right fit and then ensured that my item would be there in the time frame requested.
It was a pleasure shopping from them.
I am still waiting for a featherweight wheelchair ordered over 3 weeks ago. After repeated requests, I have not gotten a confirmed ship date or a notice it will be delayed. If you order a wheel chair you need it. This is not like a pair of pants that you can get by if the shipment is delayed.
