Local franchise can not seem to follow a schedule. Understand an appointment window...but after 2 hours if you can't call, or show up, not good this was after they contacted us to offer a new time because they were in or area!
Had to call them, and they would put us on the schedule again, and we would be 1st appointment of the day. Well, 90 minutes into the 120 minute window, finally called to say they would be at the minimum another 90 minutes. Well took time off for work, and still have the junk--they should pay me for my time. Four Hours of lost wages!
Poor customer service. Would not use the wester mass area, this franchise is not cool.
NO SHOW FOR 1 800 GOT JUNK. I set up an appointment time with 1 800 Got Junk. They phoned & text me at the beginning of my appointment to say they are coming. The driver called a little while later saying they would be here in the next hour. Waited & waited & they never showed up. They wasted my time. I still got my junk: (
Would never call them again. Nearly took any of the construction waste and said that was all their truck could handle. Said they would be back - no call, no show.
Terrible terrible terrible. Beware… cuz you got junk, but they got tricks. You'll never get a quote, but you'll get duped.

Both Nate and Brett called today to keep me frequently informed of when they would be arriving. Once here I showed them the 4 furniture pieces that I needed removed. An estimated quote was given, they got everything out in 20 minutes and he actual quote was less. Both friendly, professional and accommodating. I was happy to give them a tip and I highly recommend their services. Now our basement is much clearer - thank you soon much!
They should have an option of a negative 5 star review if so, this company would be in front. I recently scheduled an appointment and opted to gain insight on pricing. She informed me that they charge by how much of the truck is filled. The manager and his aid arrive and proceeded to tell me that a couch, loveseat, a bed with frame and box springs, 2 dressers, one coffee table and 2 end tables would fill the complete truck and the price would be over $7,000 and if they have to return it'll be an additional $3,500. I respectfully declined their services stating that in Baltimore the fee for bulk disposal is between $100 to $200 fee. The manager's aid kept asking me to quote him a price that I'm comfortable with, and I chose not to do so. If anyone asks this of me, that lets me know the prices are bogus. This business is a total scam. You're better off working with people within your city or state because these people are vultures.
We had about a 4th of a truck worth to be hauled off.400.00 dollars was about double of what it should have cost.Buyer be ware! Never again for me.
Pat and Mike were great! Very professional, loaded my junk quickly all I did was point. My family and I always call 1 800 JUNK for all our junk needs. What I like most is they are always consistent.
They were efficient, and professional and would definitely recommend them to friends and family. I really appreciated all of them. They were also very punctual.
I had the most genuine experience from Audel and Emanuel. I am in Massachusetts right now and I am moving to New Jersey in the next three days. The first time I called at 12, the lady forgot to finish setting up my appointment so after waiting for 4 hours, no one came to my house or contacted me. After calling back they said that she just forgot to make the appointment so the next guy made an appointment for an hour later (now 5-7) at 5, the regional manager texted me saying the truck is full and they might not be able to come today so after talking with him he said they might have to reschedule for Wednesday. I took work off on Monday for this pick up and now they wasted my entire Monday waiting for no pick up to happen and now I would have to take time off Wednesday because they need to reschedule. The managers apology for this inconvenience was a $20 discount.
I called the main line again and explained to the next lady that my entire Monday was wasted as I have been waiting from 12 until now 5:30 for no one to show up and the manager saying they might have to reschedule for Wednesday (he won't know for another hour). I explained to this lady how my Monday was wasted and now I have to take Wednesday off and a $20 discount didn't really seem fair to me and her response was TO HANG UP THE PHONE! She hung up the phone on me. Absolutely worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I called back again with the intention of canceling my pick up but the next guy said he would make sure the truck comes today.
The regional manager told me it would be $164 charge and I would receive the $20 discount for the inconvenience of the day. When the truck arrived at 6:30, the 2 workers came in and told me there were environmental fees and the truck was nearly full so the cost of the pick up would be $294. My jaw almost hit the floor. I was told $164 and it was almost double that.
I obviously could not give any money to this company at this point. They wasted my entire Monday and then lied to me about the price and their best offer to try and help was a $20 discount. Please I beg everyone to never use this company for any reason. Ask a friend to drag your appliances to the local dump. This company should never be allowed to make another penny for how I was treated and how horrible their customer services are.
Charge me over $600 for a small job, and left a lot of garbage on site which I had to clean off myself after they left. Never using them again.
I first used the Junk Guys when they were new in town. Yes it has been a few years. At that time my crew was fair, friendly, helpful. After today I realize, like most businesses which experience a few years of success, are nothing more than a racket. Super inflated price for minimal work (20 mins?), sullen, superior workers, and to top it off, the dreaded tip screen. Why do I have to tip you for doing your job? Yes, I did agree, I did pay. I think I was in shock, disconnected as to how such a lovely service, once upon a time, turned into another grabbing con. PI am in Tucson, AZ. Do yourself a favor. Find a guy with a trailer or do it yourself.
Within 24 two very professional young men James and Jerry out of Savannah picked up my couch. They kept me informed on arrival, were very carefully removing the item and the price was reasonable. Would definitely use again.

We called after having to deal with bad tenants. I already knew they were very expensive we called and they were able to come that same day. Being late, of course, they were only able to pick up a part of the junk and charged us full price and came back the same day to pick up the rest of the junk. So far nothing is overly wrong with what happened, we tried calling them several times as we had a contact to come and collect most of the remaining junk, after our contact got there they refused to stop working and claimed "we already did the work so he can take it but were going to charge you full price for it". Zero flexibility, not even a discount and it seemed pretty hostile towards our request all because they couldn't answer a phone 45 minutes before they loaded the junk in.
It was nice that they were able to get to us on the same day. Save yourself a ton of money, rent a truck or trailer and do the lifting yourself. Local eco-centers will be glad to take in your junk and usually for free!
This company will not pick up your junk. Contrary to the name of the company, do not be deceived. They will send to millennial boys to your door fitting the Ken doll description one blonde and one brunette to satisfy all preferences on the outside. They will refuse to take your junk if it is not extremely clean and disinfected no matter what. I had them show up at my house yesterday to tell me what they would and would not take. This is the exact opposite of what the initial phone call to set up the appointment and what was told they would do upon arrival. Do not hire this company if you actually need to remove old furniture and anything upon move out that needs to go in order to not be charged for leaving anything behind for the new owner. They will waste your time and tell you they'll come and remove it all and only take what is outside providing it is nowhere near any sort of dirt to put on there truck and remove. They will charge you at least $300 plus tax and fees for stuff outside that bulk pickup would gladly pick up for free. They will not come in your home and remove any sort of furniture or items that needs to be removed to alleviate any fees you may incur after move out unless the items are pristine and disinfected even if the home is due for complete remodel and the new owner will not care if there is dirt in the home. If you have any sort of time restrictions, you will be disappointed if you set an appointment and expect them to complete what is Promised on the booking appointment call. I am trying to stop anybody who needs to actually get these things accomplished and not mess around with Millennial sent out that do not want to work. I would never hire or recommend this company. They have made my move a huge setback due to their lack of work ethic. These employees should be fired. This economy is not in a good place for Blackie's like this to be employed in a position where they do nothing all day collect a paycheck and refuse to remove junk from homes which is their jobs and misleading in the company name.
And in the end if you turn your back they will leave your property without advising you that there are two little boys and cannot take any of the junk even the stuff outside that could easily have been moved to the curb for bulk pickup.
Sam and TJ were great, hardworking, very friendly and cooperative people. Worked very hard and I thought well organized,quick and efficient. How fortunate I was to acquire these two fine individuals to do the work. Extremely satisfied and would recommend anyone to this company. Even the lady who answered the phone and set up the work schedule was prompt and courteous and I got to talk to a real person, not a machine!
Arrived 2 hours late. Extremely expensive - no value in hiring them. Customers are not made aware of the pricing until they arrive.
I called this company last week for an estimate. They showed up the next day as scheduled. Casey in Atlanta called me and gave me an estimate for a relatively small shed for 700.00. I did not accept this price and was immediately quoted 200.00. Wow an instant 500 dollar difference. This made me feel as if they are not professional and more scam like. I agreed to the 200 dollars for the following morning, Friday. I called Casey more than five times once it was obvious they were not coming as scheduled. He never answered or returned my call and the service was never done. I called customer service to speak with a manager on Friday. As of today Monday morning no one has reached out to me… I do not know about other areas… the team in Gwinnett, Georgia (snellville) will offer you an outrageous estimate and follow up with one in which they never intend on honoring….
