I have placed several orders to 1800flowers and at first they were excellent. In January 2020, I sent some exotic truffles that I saw on this website to my daughter for her birthday on January 3 2020. I paid $39 99 for a box of 9 chocolates and $30.00 plus on shipping. They said it would get there on January 3, as specified by me and confirmed by them. It had been over 7 days and I hadn't heard from my daughter. I received a recorded message from a Fed. Express office here in my town of Folsom, CA. Saying that they are waiting for someone to pick up a package for Gemma Franck (my daughter) I guess my daughter finally picked it up; so much for the surprise birthday present. Customer Service was no help. The apology was insincere and very curt. Also, today 02/05/2020, I received a delivery of two plant arrangements and was very disappointed that they were nothing like the picture. The succulents in them were so small and fragile that they were breaking off. The plants were well wrapped and in a box. Too well wrapped. The bubble wrap and tape were wrapped so tight that the plants were squished and lost some leaves. I paid $87.00 for each arrangement plus exorbitant shipping charges. Way overpriced and I refuse to deal with their rude and insensitive customer service department again. Like II said, I have an order history of large and high-end orders. I have decided to not shop with you ever again and I won't recommend you to my family and friends. You have lost a truly loyal, kind and sensitive customer. Pay attention to your customer service personnel and get somebody who is empathetic to people's needs and also please hire someone who speaks good English and doesn't sound like they are reading from a script. A business office is only as good as their front desk reception. In this case, Customer Service is the first person someone talks to and they are so rude.
I ordered flowers for a freind and they charged me twice and refuse to refund me my money. I reached out to 1800 flowers but never was contacted by them or offer to correct the problem. Please use a local florists.
I ordered flowers to be delivered for a birthday. I paid $55.95 per the flowers I picked online. They didn't deliver on the date specified. I called to cancel and request refund. They said they would refund, and deliver following day with apology. They didn't deliver them until THREE days later! I called to complain and again request refund as they were not delivered on time. They now say they won't give refund and that they will give a $20.00 gift card; why would I ever use there service again? Look the pathetic flowers they delivered; nothing like the picture. Stay away from this company! They will take your money.
I ordered a basket with fruits and snacks for my moms birthday. I ordered that on a Saturday and my moms bday was on Monday. I live in California and she lives in MA. On Monday morning I texted them to find out the status of my order then I was told that they couldn't find my order. Then they offered to help me with another order through text messaging. The worse part is that when I checked my bank account I saw the transition pending. So that means that they were able to take the money out my account but never bothered to call me or send me an email to let me know that there was something wrong with order. I still don't know what was wrong!
I ended up not ordering another basket just because I was so frustrated at that point. Luckily I told my mom about it and she said that she didn't care about a gift as long as I got my money back.

I placed an order on the website. My credit card was charged and the item never showed up. Called customer support and they said. Oh well its only pending so you'll get your money back in 3-5 days. The birthday surprise for my son was completely ruined. Incredibly unprofessional. NEVER use them
Nothing wrong with the order the flowers were fine. My wife told me i was charged twice. I thought no problem simple mistake, WRONG. They charge you twice, once the take your order they lock the funds with your bank,
Then the day of they bill your account. Then they send a FAX to your bank releasing the funds in 3 to 5 business
Days. I find this crazy and will not use them unless i absolutely need to.
Some of the customer service people i had to hang up on, not because they were rude or anything i just couldn't communicate with them. No big deal with that, it's a big world out there and it happens.
The flowers were fine, just next time i do it direct with a florist.
Had flowers sent to my mom because her dog died. They said they couldn't verify the address. Try putting it in google idiots it comes right up! Supposed to refund shipping and only refund 10, when shipping was 25. Waited on the phone 27 min to talk to someone and they were completely disrespectful! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! BEWARE!
I ordered birthday flowers. The bouquet was beyond skimpy, really pathetic. I wrote and was promised another bouquet. Promised on Monday, no flowers. Called again, promised on Tuesday, no flowers, called again promised for Wednesday. Nothing. So beware. Really, really really bad execution. And not much for your money.
I ordered flowers for a friend's daughter who had spinal surgery and 3 days later I am still trying to figure out why they haven't been delivered! I called for the 3rd time today and was told they were delivered yesterday and I said that's absolutely not true and they tried to switch it up and say they would be delivered tomorrow. What? Absolutely don't go through this company! Call a local florist yourself and have it done right. #1800flowerssucks

I ordered a flower arrangement for my daughter's Birthday. What she received was an empty vase with a bunch of flowers in a box. Never heard of such a mess up! I called and they said, " let us make it right and we'll send her another flower arrangement". But then I got an email that they couldn't deliver. I called again and after 1 hour on the phone with someone I couldn't understand her English, she tells me they gave the flower shop e wrong address. How can they screw up twice in the same day? I asked for full refund but this doesn't correct the disappointment on my daughter's Bithday. Never ever order from this outfit. I am writing this review so someone else's special day is not ruined by these incompetent people.
I used 1-800-flowers for the first and last time. I was happy with a floral arrangement I received through them so I thought they was ok and didn't read any reviews. Ordered them for my stepdaughter's birthday (she lives out of town) 3 days in advance and knew they would be made by a local florist. I didn't read the fine print and they were not delivered until 6:40 PM (dark outside). That's not the worse part - the flowers were left outside of the driveway gate. No attempt was made to contact them or us (phone numbers provided) and she did not notice them until the next morning when she was leaving to take the kids to school. UGH - what's the point? Our surprise was IMO ruined by 800-flowers. I have not even seen what they looked like - don't even know if they survived during the night.
The website is very easy to use and the selection is a good enough variety to find something for every occasion. The prices are a little high but for that special person or event it is good to know I can find plants/flowers.
My 7 year old chose a flower arrangement for our young family friend who passed. That was all she wanted to do. She chose them, we entered the zip code, and ordered them. Then 2 days before delivery they call and leave 4 messages. 1 stated there was an adjustment to the arrangement- so I figured ok no big deal. After work I called and they tell me there is no local florist that can take my order and deliver. I asked if they could cancel. She said they can send it to the family. I did not have the family address, just my friends. I asked if they could send it an hour away to my town and I would pick it up or cancel. They put me on hold. When they got back on the phone- they did not mention anything about sending it to my town- she cancelled the order. BUT they had already charged my account and said I would not see a refund for 24 to 48 hours. SO NOW I had to order from Ava's flowers, who had availability and my flowers will not be delivered, and I am out quite a bit of money until it is returned, right before the funeral. Awful business, and the receptionists on the phone do not listen.
I placed an order online on Friday, 12/27, for a "Get Well" bouquet of flowers to be delivered on Saturday, 12/28, to a relative who had just gotten out of the hospital. 1-800-Flowers called me a couple hours later to inform me that their florist for that ZIP code was closed, so the bouquet would be delivered as buds packed in a box delivered by FedEx (with no discount, by the way).
I let the agent know that I did not want to send a DIY bouquet to my sick relative and to please cancel the order so I could order flowers somewhere else. She put me on hold while she tried to "make it right". I spent upwards of 15 minutes on hold while she tried to find another florist to deliver the bouquet - seems like they could have done that before they called me, but whatever. The agent found a florist. English was not her first language, so I asked her to confirm TWICE that the order would be delivered on 12/28 in a vase and pre-arranged. She confirmed for me TWICE that was the case.
As of 4:30 p.m. on 12/28, I still hadn't gotten an "out for delivery text," so I contacted 1-800-Flowers to confirm for the 3rd time that the flowers would be delivered on time. That agent informed me that the flowers were scheduled for delivery on TUESDAY, 12/31. I again asked to cancel the order and spent another 10 minutes on hold while they tried to "make it right." Their solution? To deliver the bouquet on Monday, 12/30. I was livid. I asked AGAIN to cancel the order. This time they try to offer me a discount of $16 on the $60 order to get me not to cancel. Is this company kidding?
Finally got the order cancelled and placed an order with another company, but it's too late in the day for same-day delivery. So the flowers will be late (but not as late as 1-800-Flowers would have delivered them). If 1-800-Flowers' agent had not lied to me on 12/27 to keep me from cancelling my order, I still would have had time to get those flowers delivered on time. Absolutely will not ever be doing business with this company again.
To be fair, I have used 1-800 Flowers in the past with no issues. However, I ordered a Christmas arrangement for my sister on 12/21 to be delivered 12/23 (I do this for her every year for her dinner table). I called to track the delivery... spoke to foreign customer service rep who was extremely difficult to understand and he could not understand me. He kept telling me the delivery was made on time... I know, for certain, it was not! He told me to check with the recipient and disconnected the call. I did check with my sister and the delivery was not made. She did not receive her flowers until 12/26. This experience has been very disappointing and I will not use this company or their services again!
They were supposed to offer Vets a nice discount but actually anyone can get the same price. Why? Because this is nothing but an upsell organization. If you pick the discounted item, as shown, the one for the price that was offered is really Cheap looking. They are counting on you wanting better quality, which is not discounted. The big disappointment is when the product does not get delivered as scheduled and they call offering an alternative way beyond the promised date. It also does not show up. The customer service is not fluent in English and work out of an offshore boiler room where neither you not the agent can hear. This is the worst online company I ever dealt with. Jim Cech
I want to give ZERO stars! I got home on Saturday Dec 21 and flowers were left at my door. My son sent for my birthday as a srprise! I opened the box to a BIG disappointment! Yeah BIG surprise! The flowers were falling apart, flimsy and old! The stems were broken in places. I was so sad! I live in Nashville and they came from Memphis Tn. Over 3 hours away! What? I called and complained because I was devastated! They apologized! They wouldn't refund 100 %! I still complained and told them I was VERY unhappy! My son works hard for his money and paid alot for old falling apart flowers! I showed him pictures I took and he couldn't believe it! Ended up only a 60% refund! Never again will we use this service! I will post all over the internet to let people know how you do bad business! DON'T waste your time buying from 1800 flowers! Such a scam! People beware!
I received a Gardenia plant and ornament as a gift. I appreciate my father's gift very much, but I feel he was ripped off. The Gardenia is very small, measuring approximately 8" x 10", the ornament is plastic and thin metal, something you would purchase at a dollar store. I'm sure he paid in the $70.00 range to have this shipped to me.
Of course I would never say anything to my father, but I would like to warn others. I feel the pictures on the website make the items look better than they are.
I order flowers to be sent to a friend to be delivered on the 22nd of December. Called them and asked on the 23rd when they would be delivered and they told me they wouldn't be delivered until the 27. Just 5 days later than I was told. Would of been nice to get a email or something in stead of me calling to find out they couldn't deliver them on time. This is not away to do business.
