I ordered flowers for a family member's funeral. The bouquet received was no where near what I ordered. And half the flowers are dead looking. I called customer service and they hung up on me. TWICE. Horrible company. Do NOT use them.
My $71.00 order of a Christmas cactus arrived late and completely frozen. In other words, dead. Flowers.com offered me a refund of 50% and to reship. When I got the confirmation of the reship, it not only wasn't the Christmas cactus I ordered, it was a cactus arrangement I had already sent to the same person 6 months ago. I was on the phone 4 more times with them and asked for a full refund and not to ship the cactus as the recipient already had one. They shipped it anyway. Had to open a dispute with my credit card company to get my refund.
I have ordered so many times from 1-800-Flowers and that ends today. I will never ever give this company my business in the future.
I recently placed an order to have 2 deliveries sent out.
1. I phonetically spelled out the name for the cards and that was still wrong.
2. When I saw this in the confirmation email I called right back to ask them to correct it and was told by the agent that she didn't have authority, but would have someone higher up correct it and would call me back.
3. I got the call that it was corrected, but when they were delivered, the name had not been changed.
4. One of the deliveries was on time. The second order was delivered a day later.
5. My card was double billed. I have been on the phone with them several times today and have been told something different each time. They have their money. They say the other charge is an authorization hold, but they HAVE THEIR MONEY. My bank told me that they see two charges about 10 hours apart. I was told that the 1-800-Flowers billing dept would fax my bank and that I would receive a confirmation email. I'm sill waiting for that confirmation email. I have called 3 times today and each time I call the billing department I am told something else. One agent told me they only charged me once, when clearly I can see the charges in my bank account. One told me it would be handled today. One told me 3-5 business days, one told me 5-7. Yesterday I was told 7-10 business days. They have their money for the order. I want my money back from the double-billing. Your agents should all have consistent information when something like this happens.
I could have placed this order with any other flower delivery service, but I chose you, I've ordered from you so many times in the past. But I won't be back. From the moment I placed the order and spelled out the name phonetically and it was still wrong, this has been a nightmare waste of valuable time.
Although I placed an order for a small bouquet early in the day, 12 hours later I received no word on the order. I contacted Customer "Service" by CHAT and, after answering the same questions multiple times (email address, order number, etc), was told that the order was still out for delivery. WHILE I was on the chat, I received an email that the flowers were delivered. This of course was not so since I was at home, and nothing arrived. I contacted CS by phone and was told that the flowers had NOT yet been delivered. The rep told me "If I were on your shoes, I would be upset too." This was not helpful, but at least she tried to understand the issue that they first two refused to.
The poinsettias we ordered were delivered to the wrong address. I start with the customer service person explaining that the poinsettias were delivered to the wrong address. The customer service person says, you want to send to a different address? Again I explain they were delivered to the wrong address stating delivery conformation that they were delivered yet, my family did not receive them. I was on the phone for 30 minutes where much of that time was spent asking the customer service person to repeat what they said because I could not understand them. It's not fair that I spend my money here in the USA and then get terrible customer service from someone overseas that I cannot understand. No poinsettias and no more business with this crummy company. I so sorry for you happenings we do not have that same plant and cannot offer one that is five dollar more. I ordered these from an offer from Speedway Fuel Centers. First and last time ever doing business with them.
I ordered flowers for my daughter's 1st wedding anniversary and flowers never came even though my tracking email said the arrangement was getting prepared for that day's delivery in Chicago. Two days of waiting and no flowers. I missed her wedding due to Covid 19 so my surprise gift of flowers for her 1st anniversary was ruined. Then my daughter contacted them through the confirmation number and they said they do not make my chosen arrangement and choose something else. Bait and switch plus I was never contacted. Daughter leaving town so what's the point now? I'm never using them again and neither should you! Awful experience and money wasted.
If I could leave no stars, I would. But the lovely young woman that handled my issue saved the day. I ordered a Christmas arrangement for my 93 year old mother. Without my approval, the order was switched to some stupid Spring arrangement... 80 Bucks. Bad enough that they substituted without my authorization but, they could not even pick something Christmas oriented! My mother will get this strange arrangement Christmas week and I will (hopefully) get my money back. Fortunately, I have a CC that really takes care of their customers. So, we shall see. Please be very careful if you order from this site.

Order from them. I have many times and let's say 8 out of 9 times they have made a mistake on my order. God forbid you make a mistake on your order and you call them immediately after you placed your order to correct it. Be ready to be put on hold for like 30-40 mins and most of the time it's hard to correct and they alway offer a discount etc. Just do yourself a favor and call the local florist where your recipient lives and place an order directly from that florist.
I don't ever write reviews, but this was a must because I am beyond disappointed in this company and want to save others time and money. A complete waste of time, money and effort. I am done!
Do not order same day delivery. They won't actually do it. And then when I ask for money back after they had me pay, then called me 4 hours later to say they couldn't do it in the same day, they told me they couldn't give my money back for 7 days. And that it could take up to 2 months to even see it reflect on my bank account. They can take my money in a few seconds, but they can't return it for 7 days!? That's 604,800 seconds. They're thieves! Do not waste your money.
1-800-Flowers Never delivered the flowers. I had to deal with 4 customer service representatives who could hardly get their script correct. All they could tell me was they will give me $20 off my next order. Why would I want to order from them again! They sent an email confirming they sent the flowers at 7:30am! They don't even start making deliveries at that time. Each customer service rep had a fake name and one in particular hardly could speak correct English I had to keep helping him by repeating the questions I even asked him how long are you doing this job? After he confirmed with the recipient that she never received the flowers he tried to get back on the phone and tell me "oh yes they left it in front of her door." I told them she has a ring camera you are lying and I would like to know who delivered from your company 30 mins before it opens! He was horrible he ended up hanging up on me while refusing to give his name. It took me two days of contacting them to have them finally say we will give you a full refund. Hopefully I get my money back. I will never order from this company again.
This scam company failed to deliver flowers on Valentine's Day to my fiance. I ultimately found a local florist who delivered a beautiful arrangement far better than 1800Flowers ever does. Take the time to find a local flower shop - you will be SO MUCH happier that you did and will get a much better deal. There is no point in using this horrible company!
I ordered flowers for my wife for her birthday and was hoping that she would get them before she leaves the house for work. Apparently the flowers were being delivered by FedEx and would be arriving by 8pm tonight. I will be out tondinner for her birthday as this delivery will take place. Pretty crappy of me to order flowers from here when all her friends ordered from a local florist and all have arrived except mine. For 115.00 dollars they should have arrived quickly. I have called and canceled the order so I could go to my local florist and have flowers for her before her birthday is over.
I ordered flowers for my Mom's 80th birthday four days before the party. I got an email that stated they couldn't deliver. I live in a large city. I called flowers.com and they stated all was ok and the flowers would be delivered as promised. Fail! No flowers, called back and the gal on the phone was useless! She ended up charging me a second time for the flowers when I was seeking a refund. I called back and talked to another representative that spoke enough English to supposedly put in a refund. Totally unprofessional, lack of having a clue about customer service. The one star is for the flowers they supposedly will send for free. I doubt they arrive. Shop wisely, if you want flowers on time, go elsewhere!
I PURCHASED MY WIFE 2 DOZEN ROSES, THE FIRST ORDER ALL THE ROSE PEDALS WERE BLACK, I CALLED THEY REPLACED THE ORDER. THE SECOND ORDER CAME IN WHICH THESE WERE WORSE THEN THE FIRST. THE THIRD ORDER CAME THE FLOWERS DID NOT LAST 2 DAYS BEFORE THEY DIES. I CALLED AND ASKED FOR A REFUND IN WHICH I WAS FIRST TOLD THEY WOULD. THE AGANT KEPT PUTTING ME ON HOLD THEN HUNG UP. THE AGENT CALLED BACKAND RESINDED THE REFUND. I ORDER A LOT OF FLOWERS BUT I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THESE SCAMMERS AGAIN, IM ALSO CONTACTING THE BBB TO FILE A COMPLAINT AS WELL AS IM GOING TO FILE A CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST THEM. Worst flower company to deal with. I recommend using anyone of their competitors as it is better customer service and guaranteed delivery. I got lied to a few times and still no flowers 3 days later and no reason or excuse. Dont waste your time with them. Use other for pace of mind.
Been buying from this company for years. Everything had been great until recently. I even paid for the passport service for the last two years. They promise 1 day delivery, and now 2 days later it still hasn't been delivered. I would more understanding if their customer support didn't blatantly lie about it. They even changed my delivery date on my order to today and said it's on time! There are other companies that deserve a chance to compete for my business.
I never wrote a review until today. Against my better judgment I trusted my wedding anniversary to this company. I ordered roses 5 days in advance and made specific instructions to deliver before noon as this was a business and my wife leaves in the afternoon. I didnt realize they were being sent Via Fed Ex until it was too late. I thought this would have been farmed to a local florist. Well I'm headed home to explain to my wife what an idiot I was since she probably thinks I forgot it was our anniversary. Never again. I hope others learn from my mistake.
Do not use this rip off site! I ordered 24 roses and only got 12(2 times in 8 months They claim to care about you and the only thing they care about is squeezing every last cent out of your Order. You can get better service and flowers on the freeway off ramp!
I found out after the fact that my husband had ordered a dozen roses for me to be delivered to my office for our 25th anniversary. The flowers never arrived. All day long (not knowing he had ordered flowers), I was very hurt thinking he had forgotten our 25th anniversary, and all day long he was sad, thinking I had just not thanked him for the flowers he sent. It wasn't until late in the afternoon when he finally told me he had ordered flowers and asked me why I hadn't called him that I learned I was supposed to get flowers. As it was almost 5:00 by that time, he called 1-800-flowers.com to find out what happened to the order, and THEY told him the flowers had been delivered. He had to argue with them over the course of an hour and multiple phone calls that the flowers had NOT been delivered. They finally told my husband they would have a "customer satisfaction" person call him back in a couple of hours. When that person never called back, my husband called again. He was lied to and told after the flowers were delivered, 1-800-flowers.com had sent a "confirmation email" to the email address he provided which showed the flowers were delivered. My husband reminded 1-800-flowers.com that he had not even given them an email address. He said he didn't give them the email address because he did not want his wife to see the email and ruin the surprise that she was getting flowers. The company finally acknowledged that the flowers were not delivered. They told my husband it would be up to him to call the local shop to find out why the flowers weren't delivered. They then gave my husband the name of a flower shop, "It's About Flowers" that did not even exist in or around our town. When he called back to find out who the store was so he could follow up, he was THEN told that 1-800-flowers does not give out the names of the flower shops they use. My husband asked for the phone number to the corporate office for 1-800-flowers.com, and he was given a number in New York. But when he tried to call it, it just took him back to that SAME off-shore call center. Do yourself a favor and support your local businesses. Do NOT waste time and money on this scam.
