Ordered flowers to be delivered to niece's funeral to find out 4 minutes before delivery to funeral that they can't do it. Also, told me they knew it 3.5 hours earlier, and never let me know of failure even though they send email that flowers were prepped for delivery. They said they would deliver them 4 days later, I requested refund.
I was a celebrations passport member. I will no longer be because of how my last order occurred. I ordered a specific product for myself for my birthday. The product was delivered a day late (which would be fine normally) and it was a completely different product. I called into the customer service line and was told that a substitution was made for me because what I ordered was not available, but they would be able to reorder it for me…however I would have to wait yet another week to get it (I placed the order on the 3rd and would now be getting it by the 13th). I said fine, I would like a refund then. Then the company had the gall to only offer me a partial refund, as they had delivered a product and therefore I would have to pay for it. I said that that was ridiculous and that I didn't want it and I would send it back to get my refund. At this point I was told that they do not accept returns. They screwed up, and now I have to pay for it either with my money or my time. I chose to wait another week, because I ordered that specific product, but I have never encountered poor customer service (I received bad customer service when attempting to order this too). As such, I will not be renewing my membership and will be ordering from pro flowers or other sites that provide similar products. The kicker? All they had to do was communicate with me. It would have been that simple to retain me. I made sure my parents, who also order from them, will not use their services in the future either and I will continue to recommend to others to avoid them. This whole process has been unacceptable and I cannot believe what a year has made in differences with their customer service (I joined because of how well they treated me when I had questions and concerns).
*Update 10/2/21 - 1800flowers called me early this morning. The flowers never surfaced but they did refund me all of my money. I am pleased with the solution. Customer service was really helpful & seemed genuinely concerned.
So I decided to use 1800flowers for my godmother's 91st birthday. I ordered flowers on Monday to be delivered Saturday. On Friday around 2:30pm I received an email stating my order had been delivered. Oh no... this is a gift & I paid $30.99 extra for delivery on Saturday. I found out that their delivery partner is FedEx (mind you I hate FedEx with a seething passion) and sometimes they deliver orders early due to their ground service. Had this policy been made clear to me on the website I would have never used 1800flowers because FedEx delivery is awful. The customer service reps were really helpful and tried everything in their powers to make it right. 1800flowers did offer to try and retrieve the flowers... to re-deliver on Saturday (really?). But I found out... FedEx didn't deliver the flowers to the apt door; even though it was marked as delivered. They also offered to call my godmother to confirm delivery (can you say surprise totally ruined). In addition they wanted to know if my godmother could go down two flights of steps & check outside (for god's sake she's 91). All I was offered was a 50% refund on $112. They offered me a $20 credit for another order but I declined it. I have never been so disappointed in my life. I live in Maryland and my godmother lives in New York. I could only get a full refund if I returned the flowers personally (not gonna happen cause we didn't get the flowers). Did I forget to mention that the flowers were never taken to her apartment even though they asked for an apt #. Yeah more than likely they were left at the front door of the building. I will never use 1800flowers again. I ended up using another company on very short notice & I'm out of an additional $121. Do better 1800flowers... sometimes your customers really depend on you to deliver.
A week struggle. Headaches. Done! So done! Ordered for new baby, changed date a month later. Was able to ( i think) cancel that order, refund is pending. Ordered another for my mother in laws 90th birthday. Attached are pictures of what I ordered and what was delivered. Reportedly came in pieces. Never ever again!
What's up everyone!
Well, it goes a little something like this.
How can a company run by numskulls, continue to stay in business! I ordered flowers for my neighbors birthday, who happens to be dying of cancer. I thought it would be a nice jester to show sympathy, by sending some flowers. When I filled out the online form, I made sure that it could be delivered that day.
They said it could be. They were WRONG!
The name of the company should be changed to 1-800-We Suck. I don't understand how this so-called company still exists, based on other negative reviews. But, to be fair, maybe I've entered the Twilight Zone. And, none of this is actually happening! My advice to the wise, get some dirt and some seeds, and grow your own dang flowers! Your recipients will definitely get them a lot sooner than calling 1-800- We Suck!
I was looking on the internet for a beautiful bouquet to send to my friend at Cape Cod (I live in California) and found a beautiful one for an affordable price on 1-800-Flowers website. I was skeptical that it would arrive as beautiful as the photo. It turns out it's impressive! My friend can't stop exclaiming how beautiful the bouquet and vase are and such great quality (received many flowers and roses as buds). She called me again today just to tell me how it's getting more and more beautiful as the buds are opening. She also exclaimed how amazingly well and with such care the flowers were packaged. Each flower was wrapped to ensure a perfect delivery. It's makes me so happy that she's so delighted with this exceptionally beautiful,
Mailed bouquet. Thank you 1-800-Flowers, I'll be using you again for sure!
Arrangement arrived at 7pm for a 6pm service. Customer service said, they attempted an earlier delivery, NOT true the funeral home opened at 8am. The flowers and container looked nothing like what I ordered. The description of the arrangement I ordered was very specific, such as, the container has a dove and the word peace in it, which it did not. I will never use them again!
Someone attempted to do a beautiful gesture and sent me a double dozen of roses. The thought was so touching, however; the flowers looked like they had been 4 days old already! He called and complained and they overnighted another double dozen and they looked the exact same way maybe 3 days old than 4! Just made the whole experience embarrassing for him and insulting to me! I wouldn't ever order from them! I tried to mix them up to make them look better. SMH
I ordered this bouquet I'm large for a friend's mother's funeral and they arrived 7 hours late even with an attached obituary. Then I get reissued a new bouquet and this is what she got.
Received sunflowers for birthday. Awful!
Half dead and after 2 days all the petals falling out. I don't want to upset the people who sent to me but don't waste your money here.
Last year, despite extra payment for delivery, they failed to deliver. They claimed COVID difficulties. I am currently immobile and decided to give a second chance. Delivery FAIL, Customer Service FAIL. Online chat customer service MAJOR FAIL when they claimed product had been delivered. It most assuredly had not. However, online chat was terminated by the "Agent" immediately after claim that delivery had been made.
HORRIBLE, never again, should not be able to scam people this way.
Takes a lot to make me waste my time writing a review but will ALWAYS order from Arts & Flowers or Roger Beck in Minneapolis. Gave this a try as I didn't have a lot of time and it was my best friends 60th birthday. Got confirmation, got attempted delivery, GOT NOTHING! Was with friend all day. No phone calls, door bells or knocks. This company breached their agreed delivery and lied. GO ANYWHERE ELSE! I'd add a photo below as indicated but NO flowers to photograph. 800 flowers wants to give partial credit and deliver…probably half dead flowers that were supposed to be delivered yesterday. To a homebound individual a day after her 60th birthday. No, not the correct cure for the breach. Should be a full credit, deliver the flowers and apologies.
1) If you are buying from Canada MAKE SURE to change to Canadian site as it will not redirect you as most sites do. I wasnt aware and thought i was looking at Canadian dollars only to be surprised from my bank statement.
2) I bought for a funeral service and they didnt have a ribbon as they normally do. They added only a small card that was not visible. I was deeply ashamed as it was for my brother and all the other flowers had visible ribbons.
3) I reached out to customer service to discuss the above and seek a refund for the extra amount charged and the poor quality. The first agent hang the phone on me. The second agent told me its supervisor would call me back but never did.
I strongly suggest going to your local florist and giving them your business as this global company doesnt care AT ALL for their customers.
Do not order anything from this website. I ordered flowers for my mother's funeral, six days before the funeral, and I. Never received the order.
My mother did not have the flowers for her funeral. In addition! To add insult to injury, after telling the customer service agent, that the funeral spray was for my mother's funeral, she asked me did I want her flowers delivered to my mother's home? Do you have the ability to deliver the flowers to Jesus, for that's where my mom is
50 dollar bouquet ordered. 10 dollar Safeway one delivered! Where does Safeway and DoorDash come from? Apparently they are contracted with florists for same day deliveries and it is a fake florist who delivers DoorDash Safeway bouquets. Small gift in order not delivered other. This was flowers for recent family loss. I'm so embarrassed and upset. The door dash guy described the arrangement and it did not match as I contacted to figure out why the heck he is delivering Safeway flowers. The person literally put my info on the DoorDash order like a smart one. Did get a full refund but had to fight and explain I will settle for nothing less and it's a PayPal backed order so if they want to argue with then we can do it that way. They did issue but I had to push. I do not think they are horrible as I had success with them in the past and they have done a great job. I am reporting issue to Corp so they can investigate the person contracted to supply my flowers as I believe the issue is the 1800flowers are not checking out their florists contracted well enough. Improvement needed.
I ordered flowers for my mom, was told at 6pm they would be delivered by 8pm. 8pm I received an email stating they could not be delivered and I would receive a refund. 6 days later mom received the flowers. Dead, smelly gross flowers. What a disgrace of a company.
I make a order for a friend, and I make a mistake with the address, however they never call me or my friend and sent me a email that it was delivered, but my friend never get it. I sent a email with my complain, but don't answer me. I am very upset with them.
I ordered flowers for a dear friend's funeral. They delivered the wrong flowers with the wrong card to his widow. The florist called me and told me they would deliver the right flowers the next day, but to ask the widow to put the first arrangement in front of her door, so they could deliver them to the right recipient. I received another phone call telling me that couldn't figure out where to deliver the flowers... holy cow, they had just delivered the wrong flowers to her... it is not rocket science! I contacted 1800 Flowers, to see if the flowers were ever delivered. No, they were not delivered, they would deliver them next week... AFTER the funeral. Terrible customer service! Unacceptable!
My daughter had just bought a house and was having a house warming party on the 1st of July and we decided to send a nice bouquet of flowers since we ourselves could not be there to celebrate with her. The flowers were ordered more than three days in advance so that they would arrive on the 1st of July but they never did. I wrote to this 1800 flowers complaining that they had ruined it for us, but they then just ignored my email communication and showed me the customer service department which is almost impossible to reach. They have no email address to the customer service and the phone call is not answered. How do you react to a company that just takes your money and then conveniently forgets the service that they are supposed to provide and then refuses to answer your calls or email? Are there no law or rules in USA that reigns in this rogue company? My advice to all is please, please avoid 1800 flowers in future. My order number is W*******2122.
