When l ordered contacts they KNEW that the contacts were on back order and fail to tell me. They promised me contacts by a certain date, no contacts. They promised another certain date, no contacts. I finalIy called after the second no show and the nice lady said, "oh, they're on back order." I requested my account to be credited and I'm moving on to a truly reputable company. Everybody is blaming covid! NO EXCUSES PLEASE! Two years into covid. Figure-it-out! Buyers beware.

My optometrist did not carry colored contacts in the color I wanted in my prescription so she recommended me to order them online. I wasn't sure which company to order my Air Optix Color off of since this will be my first time getting colored contacts. I decided to go with 1800Contacts and hope that my experience with them will be good. I emailed them my Rx the night I placed my order. Since my prescription was written as "Air Optix Aqua", they email me back letting me know that they have to get in touch with my doctor if it's okay with the colored contacts that I ordered. Their customer service was awesome! Quick reply, very informative and my order came in a week later. I would definitely order more in the future. So happy!
Just a suggestion... But maybe don't change my order to something that i didn't order, and then proceed to accuse me that i didn't in fact order them, when i have a confirmation email showing that i did... and on top of that, refuse to correct the mistake.
Furthermore, they then just tried to up-sell me on what i originally ordered but for a full year, AND tell me they'll now get here in 2 weeks. That's way too late. I ordered these a month ago so i could have them on vacation. Now i'm out of contacts, or stuck using these overpriced contacts i didn't order, because i know that they constantly rip. (I've worn contacts for 20+ years, and the ones they sent me are garbage).
And now will have to wait 2-4 weeks for a refund, for items i didn't... purchase.
There's no excuse for trying to make a customer feel like they did something wrong, when the mistake was made by the customer representative who completely changed my order without permissions. Just a suggestion. They are usually excellent on response, feedback, and swiftness of customer service, which i still quite admire. But there's no excuse for this lack of customer service. You can do better than this.
Everyone I spoke to was absolutely amazing, but Deena is truly the most caring, patient, sincere, compassionate and helpful rep I've ever had the good fortune to meet! She went above and beyond to make sure that I received my order, and due to complications of my bank charging me two times, she had a conference call with them, wrote a verification of my actual order and followed through in every capacity. I used to order often from 1800Contacts (customer service was okay and generally experience was fine) but I found that my Acuvue lens were actually cheaper at VisionDirect.com mostly because Vision Direct always has coupon codes that you can search for online.
I ordered contacts paid extra for expedited shipping and never got them. I was told by 1800 Contacts that because they were not delivered Friday my only option was to wait for Monday because they do not deliver on Saturdays or pick my package up at UPS. They scheduled for me to pick up my contacts but they never arrived at the UPS office so they sent out another order which was due to arrive Monday, that never came so again they claim that they are sending another order. I strongly suggest that if you need to order contacts you should not use 1800Contacts.
Anyone that wears contacts knows that you don't need a new exam to get different lenses.the express exam consists of questions and reading letter and that's it. It should cover all contacts, at least all made from the same materials. If I get a prescription from my optometrist and I use it on there I can order any lenses. When I use their exoress exam, they want me to take a new exam just to switch from acuvue oasys to oasys dailies. It's absolutely absurd. Oh but they can recommend a really expensive brand without the express exam. So basically an extra $20 every time you want to try new lenses. Upload a prescription from the eye doctor WITH NO SPECIFIC BRAND MENTIONED and you can get any damn lense you want. Save your money. Don't go to them. I've used several different online contact lense services, and they are by far the most expensive. I only used them for the express exam. I didn't realize they want to scam an extra 20 put of you everytime you want different lenses. It's totally bs
1-800 Contacts was easy to use and easy to order from…BUT when I had trouble getting my package from UPS and I was returned to sender I decided to just cancel my order and go with LASIK (I've been toying with it anyway). When I called to cancel my order the customer service representative was initially nice but when I said I wanted to cancel my order he responded with "Oh I can't do that but I can send out some replacements for you today." When I said I don't want replacements because I never received the first ones. I want to cancel my order he said he would try to do that and put me on hold. When he came back on the line he said he spoke with a manager and the refund wound be on my card in 3-5 days and then hung up on me. Didn't take any further information (like an order number) so I have no idea if it will actually be done or not.
Zero transparency, fake expectations. They try to lure customers in using advertising and marketing techniques, but they have the worst service. PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.
1-800-CONTACTS sent me the wrong prescription contacts (+8 instead of -8) and I had to book an eye examination because I thought there was something seriously wrong with my eyes. Within seconds the doctor told me I had been given the wrong prescription and gave me a pair of the correct lenses.
She advised me to contact 1-800-CONTACTS about receiving a reimbursement for the unnecessary eye exam. I paid $65 just to be told this company made a mistake. I reached out to 1-800-CONTACTS and they told me they were unable to reimburse me, but would offer 10% off a future purchase.
I will not be using this company again. They refused to right their mistake and I ended up having to pay for it.

This is the worst place I've ever done business with in my entire life.
Every time I order contacts with them, it's a fiasco. After the most recent order I placed, they send me TWO additional orders without my consent, which means unauthorized payments came out of my debit card. I called my bank to re-issue a new debit card so 1-800-Contacts couldn't charge my card anymore without my permission!

Amazing. However, over the years their customer service went from iffy to nonchalant. Very disappointing, time-consuming, and annoying. Today, a rep was dishonest when she was doing a price comparison. I'm going to return one box of unopened lenses because I have a new prescription, am changing to a different and much more expensive lense, etc. She gave me a price quote that included the $33+ refund for the box of lenses I'm returning. Not only is this not a good business practice, but it's also deceptive. IN ADDITION, THEY PLACED THE ORDER BEFORE I AUTHORIZED IT. SO NOW I HAVE TO WAIT 3-7 DAYS TO GET A REFUND OF ALMOST $670 FOR LENSES I DIDN'T ORDER!
In my opinion, this company has lost its mojo and I wasted over an hour of my time. Life is too short!
I took the eye exam for glasses and contacts when I received my RX it did not list anywhere the PD (pupil distance) I knew this was wrong since they even had me send in an image with a croft card under my nose to measure. When I contacted customer support I got a half added "well we have it on file no one typed it in" how do you just not type in a part of some ones RX? Sketchy red flag one. She tells 25 I go to get glasses the woman helping me in store said that's impossible the lowest they go is 50. I called again "well its 25 from your eye to your nose" is what support told me. To which I tell her "No PD is the distance from PUPIL TO PUPIL not one pupil to your nose so it must be 50" she agreed. When we hung up I felt that was red flag 2 I had to explain to her what PD is when she should know considering they are giving people prescriptions. Fast forward I find out 50 is an "abnormally low" number for a young adult. So I email in that from all the mistakes made I am not confident I have received a proper measurement please try again. To which support tried to make my retake the whole test. Which makes no sense if you have taken the test you know that the image is the only part of the test that measures PD. My whole exam was fine OTHER than the measurement and they still have my image on file why would I need to retake the test? I told the woman this and she said oh okay I will just have the doctor re look and email you back. I am blown away they have people testing eyes who know nothing! Not even how the exam works. Ill be going to my doctor from now one for all exams. Cool concept terrible service.
Running out of contacts on the road. Called them and went over in details to replenish. Nothing showed up and when I called them they clearly had no idea what they were doing.
I bought my contact lenses on this website and I regret. That doesn't work properly. Plus the Costumar service repesentative does not help you neather Supervisors. DO NOT BUY your contact lenses on 1800 contact lenses

I placed an order on 3/18 with my contacts prescription uploaded to the site. On 3/19 they said they cannot process because my first name got cut off, but this was how the doctor's office printed out. They said it would take just a business day to verify and confirm with the doctor's office. On 3/25 I followed up. On 3/26 they asked for my doctor's number. WHAT HAPPENED TO JUST A BUSINESS DAY TO VERIFY? WHY DIDN'T THEY ASK FOR THE NUMBER SOONER? WHY WAITED UNTIL I FOLLOWED UP A WEEK LATER TO DO THEIR JOB?
I sent them my spectacle prescription and pointed out that the patient and doctor's information are IDENTICAL. On 3/30 they upgraded my shipping to 1-business day and shipped the product. On 4/1 I called UPS and they confirmed the package was lost.
I emailed them on 4/1 AND 4/2. No response to date. They were quick to respond within 24 hours before the product was shipped. Looks like once they ship and have your money, they give zero f***s about you.
They are a scam! They say that my prescription was wrong. I went to my doctor to verify and he told me that nobody contact him and the prescription was perfect……. I am still waiting for the refund…..
If I could give a 0 star review I would. This company has been an absolute pain to work with and I wish I never bought from them and could've avoided this hassle. Normally a company will automatically issue you a refund once their receive the product your returned. Well not this company. I literally had to email them and ask what was going on with my refund because it had been a month and the tracking shows it was delivered to them. They emailed me back saying they received my package 3 weeks ago, and that they would start the refund process now. First off why did no one contact me about it being received? Second off I shouldn't have had to get in touch with them to get a refund, it should have automatically happened. Here I am almost two months later still waiting for a refund from them. And contacts ain't cheap. On top of all that they said they only received on of my boxes back? Even though I was sent the wrong prescription and couldn't even use the contacts. So why would I have kept one of the boxes for myself if I couldn't even use it like what? Makes no sense.
Answer: You would need to get a daily disposable fitting from your eye doctors office before changing brands. Each brand contains specific measurements and if they aren't correct can effect the clarity of your vision. The doctor's office usually will give you a 5 day trial to make sure they work before finalizing the prescription to order.
