Question:

When do meals arrive? how often over what length of time?

Answer:

Hi there, Thanks for your question! We are a subscription service, so orders and charges are automatic and weekly occurring. You'd receive meals once per week on your chosen day of delivery, unless you skip weeks or cancel the subscription. I do hope this helps! Please feel free to reach back out with any other questions you may have.

Question:

Can you skip weeks or is this just order when you want

Answer:

Hi Kelly, Thanks for your question! We're a weekly subscription service, but you're able to skip weeks or cancel at anytime. You can skip weeks up to three weeks in advance online, and you'll have a weekly deadline by which you can select to skip a week, or make changes to your meals! I hope this helps!

Question:

Are meals for one person?

Answer:

Yes, they are just enough for one person. Some of the vegetarian options have a bit larger portion sizes, but even those are not enough for two people unless you added some other items to round out the meal.

Question:

I would like to try out this service for a week before i make up my mind. can i just do it for one week without my card being charged repeatedly

Answer:

Hi Sunita! Thanks for reaching out! All of our plans are set up as weekly recurring orders, but you can skip weeks, or cancel your subscription at anytime! There will be a deadline posted in the top right hand corner of each week of your Meal Planner-- this will be your specific deadline for editing meals, or choosing to skip the week. The deadline will be 5-6 days in advance of your delivery. I hope this helps!

Question:

Was given some of your meals frozen, by a friend who froze them day after she received them is this ok, i ate one so far and it tasted good

Answer:

Hi Melissa, Thanks for your question! That is absolutely fine! The meals are intended to be refrigerated, but freezing will allow you to keep them far past the use-by date. You'll just need to add some extra microwave time! I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed the meals, and I hope we can serve you soon!

Question:

Do you get charged every week whether you order or not that week?

Answer:

Hi Dorinda, Thank you for your question! You are not charged if you decide to skip the week, or if you cancel your subscription. You'll just want to make these changes, as well as any edits to your meals, prior to the weekly deadline which is outlined in the top right hand corner of your Meal Planner!

Question:

Do you have a special intro for new clients that is 6 meals for $49? what is your usual shelf life? frank tavel, m.d.

Answer:

Hi Frank, Thanks for reaching out! Since we cook the meals and ship them without using chemical/artificial preservatives, they do have a shorter refrigerated shelf life than say, commercial frozen dinners, etc. Just like if you were to cook food at home and store in your refrigerator! Typically the "use by" date on the meals is about 4-5 days from the ship date. You can certainly freeze them to make them last far longer, you'll just want to add at least 1 minute to the heating time if heating from frozen. We currently have an ad to receive your first week of the 6-Meal Plan for $39! Below is a helpful link: http://get.freshly.com/freshly-99-less-steakpepp-1/ I hope this helps!

Question:

I'm wondering how fresh the food will be due to the delivery process. i'm nervous about the meat and poultry and the distance/amount of time that it has to travel. i see you are located in arizona and i am in chicago, so i am debating if i should choose a closer food service.

Answer:

Hi Diane, Thanks for your question. I completely understand your concerns! Food safety is our top priority here at Freshly, and we package the meals in insulated boxes with non-toxic gel ice packs. They are tested to be safe for 2 days transit time and then also safe to sit outside for up to 12 hours upon delivery. We only deliver to one or two-day delivery zones, which means we're not able to reach all areas of the country at this time. If you enter your zip code on our homepage, you will see a "Coming Soon" message if we cannot reach you just yet. I hope this helps, Diane!
