I love shopping at Zappos, it doesn't happen too often because I'm a man and the amount of clothes and shoes I need is rather small, however, if I have to buy clothes I go them because they cracked the secret to guaranteeing a stress-free, great shopping experience: well-priced, quality merchandise and hassle-free, easy, simple returns! No hoops to jump through, no endless conversations with customer service, no proof to send anywhere, no affidavits to upload, no percentages or any other nonsense that's, in my mind, is associated with most other shopping platforms and places. Their customer service has real people that's are easy to reach, it truly feels as if they tried their best to make their customers feel important, it also feels as if they succeeded.
I recently decided to only buy clothing and footwear from Zappos because I really like the way they do business and how quickly they resolve any situation in which I'm not completely satisfied.
Purchased three Columbia shirts that were small on me and returned them, with the refund hitting my bank account the same day I mailed the shirts back. Just two clicks with a mouse and I was done! Why would I go anywhere else if these guys treat me the way I imagined every business shoild treat every customer?. Thank you Zappos!

Tip for consumers:
They're great!

Ecco shoes, Columbia shirts. Other stuff, bought quite a few things from them over the years.

I'll try to keep this short and sweet: after reading the promises they made in their advertisements, I bought into their "made in Canada, quality materials, worth every penny..." gimmick and purchased not one but three separate massagers, over a two year period. Yes, the massagers they make have motors that last a while, all three of my back massagers still work, unfortunately, what they don't tell you is that the rubber tips, the same tips they use on EVERY SINGLE PERCUSSION MASSAGER, only last a few months and, once they are done for, there is absolutely no way to purchase a replacement because Thumper themselves don't sell it, third party don't sell it, the retailers that sell Thumper massagers don't stock them either and, in addition, Thumper doesn't care enough to even reply and at least try to help you out.
I must have sent at least a dozen emails, none of them were offensive or rude, I was simply asking to SELL ME (you know, send me something in exchange for money) replacement tips, all to no avail.
The only place that even tried to help was amazon, who suggested I just purchase another massager because Thumper are impossible to reach and will never respond...
I liked their massagers because my bad back requires to be massaged daily and their products do work for at least 30 minutes before the thermal overload protection shuts them off. If you ever used a high-powered Percussion massager you probably know that even 30 minutes on a highest setting is not bad, most can't even do 10...
But this absolutely lack of regard for their existing customers is plain disgusting. And I hate to resort to stereotyping but... Aren't the Canadians supposed to be nice, polite and helpful? Not these Canadians, for sure.
My main issue is the ease, with which they try and jam you full of massagers, carrying bags and other crap you don't need but, if you ever need hell, a warranty exchange or, pretty much, anything other than a request to sell you something, they're nowhere to be found. It's just wrong and I hope they will take notice of this, hopefully sooner rather than later and finally offer their existing customers something they should have offered from day one: HELP, help and basic customer service.

Tip for consumers:
-the silicone/rubber tips don't last and can't be bought absolutely anywhere, once they wear out you will need to buy a whole new massager.
-the motor overheats in 30-45 minutes and needs two hours to cool down
-the power cord is flimsy
-the speed selector gets loose after a few months, buttons break randomly can't be repaired. Nothing on it can be repaired, no warranty or customer service responses from Thumper.

Back in the day, I thought Ebay was bad, with the sellers occasionally shopping the wrong order, making mistakes in their listing and so on... And it was, Ebay, even now, remains a very controversial marketplace, to say the least, but Mercari? It's on a whole other level of bad, it's so abhorrently devoid of any oversight or customer service Ebay can't even get close!
Here is my experience so far: 90% if the listings have wrong product pictures AND missing product description, there are no regulations against it. If you buy something the seller can just cancel the order or force you to cancel it when they don't ship it, with no circumstances to the seller. If you have a problem the MOST you can do is open an inquiry and be greeted and communicated with by a machine, ONLY over a message and only within the app. You will NEVER get to a live person and will NEVER be really helped because, with no surprise, the human-mimicking customer service bot sends vague, generalalized replies as solutions and offers you to wait, for weeks at a time.
The app also forces promotions upon you, constantly spamming you with unsolicited offers to spread its name and get $50 in return, many others, their privacy guidelines are shadowy, difficult to understand and very questionable morally. Selling on it... Well, based on my buying experience I've decided not to ever sell anything on this platform, ever, especially given the fact that they charge a LOT of fees, including even forcing their own shipping system upon you that also overcharges you.
More than HALF my orders never arrived because the system gave the seller a wrong quote for shipment and, after weeks of being stuck in a limbo, the product was returned to the seller and I had to spend even more time trying to get a refund. The other half did manage to get to my house and, out of those remaining 50% (NOT an exaggeration, by the way, I placed 20 orders in total and only 10 of them were fulfilled) roughly 30% were good enough to keep, the rest had to be returned with, yes, more protracted (lack of) customer service issues.
At first, I was amazed at how bad it was. The cheap prices they advertise in Google and and so on seduced me into trying it out but just like the rest of it, their prices and advertisements are all lies, most of the time, whatever you're searching for that they claim to have is already sold (another extremely annoying thing about the app is that it shows 'sold' products unsolicited and you have to manually hide them) and, no surprise there, what you need is only available in a wrong color, condition, at a higher price or not at all.
Today, I've decided to finay put an end to this experiment because I ordered a brushless blower, the seller didn't pay enough to ship it, mercari won't refund me until it goes back to the seller and instead offered a solution of tracking down the item and its current location and paying the shipping price difference, even though I'm not the one who shipped it and will not be allowed to do so. It's so frustrating that I can't complain or reason with a live person, the whole app, all of it, is just so counterintuitive and backwards... I'm putting a stop to this experiment today, will delete my account, uninstall the app and only think about it when I need a good example of a horribly-executed idea for an eBay copycat-wannabe that failed miserably, in every meaningful way.
My only advice to absolutely anyone who thought about using it: don't. Any other platform is better for buying or selling, Mercari was created as a social experiment to see how far a person can be pushed before they commit self-harm and are NOT worth your time, money and the stress, stress you will develop if you do end up doing absolutely any business with them.

Tip for consumers:
-do not use this site and, especially, their app for any transactions, buying OR selling
-if you absolutely must do not select free shipping or look for low shipping, if the shipping price is low they will never send it to you, it will go back to the seller after about a month of keeping you in limbo and then you will have to fight to get your money back because the system can "forget" to refund you.
-there is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. By which I mean that there are no people you can ever talk.

Products used:
One of the filters, the sprayer, out of 20 orders HALF was simply cancelled because it was never sent, lost during transit (which is pretty insane) or shipped to the wrong address.

Placed an order with Samsung, a little while later got an e-mail that informed me my order was cancelled. Trying to place the order for the same phone by using a different payment method did nothing, the order kept getting cancelled. What really pissed me off is Samsung's customer service: both representatives kept suggesting I try a different payment method (which I did), telling them I JUST bought a watch from them did nothing, they kept repeating the same thing, like robots, over an over again, betwene suggesting my card was invalid (it wasn't) and telling me that I need to wait for 48 hours for the privilege of placing another order with Samsung again.
I asked for their help and, not only they did nothing, they also tried every available avenue to prove that this was somehow my fault, before admitting their system was malfunctioning. I was a loyal Samsung customer for 19 years but my next phone will not be a Samsung and I am returning the watch I just got, it's just not worth the stress and the indignity I feel now that my money suddenly isn't good.
I really can't believe how bad their customer service is nowadays, they could have easily approved my order manuay but they refused to try, despite my long order history that stretches two decades. This really is insane, I don't have the words to explain just how disappointed I am and how angry this makes me.

Tip for consumers:
Prepare for zero assistance ans/or help of any kind. The way they "service" customers is by trying to make them think that it's their fault somehow. Once they run our ofogical ways of trying to make you look guilty they admit the real reason but, again, they don't offer any sales help at all and do whatever they can to get rid of you. You don't matter.

None, order cancelled.

I ordered two sealy pillows from Amazon on August 7th, didn't expect to get royally screwed thought. I could have ordered them from JCPENNY for less money but they were only willing to ship on August 15th and, given my Prime membership (which is a completely useless word now, including the videos, that are just as useless to me) the pillows were supposed to arrive on August 10th from Amazon, so I decided to forgo the possibility of saving $40 and placed my order.
On August 13th, still haven't received the pillows, I called Amazon to find out why the shipment status said "ups is ready to accept the package". It took three more days and three more phone calls and chats to find out that the pillow were lost in transit. The way amazon "corrected" this issue is by filling out form and requesting a refund for me, which I still didn't get. I got a runaround every step of the way and at no point did they even attempt to try and fix the problem by shipping pillows from elsewhere, even though they have them, they're on their website, available for purchase.
Their Lasership service loses and damages my packages, their cuefomed service takes weeks to process exchanges and refunds.
I would also like to mention that their chat-based customer service is completely useless, they're rude, inattentive and completely and utterly incompetent. I've bend shopping with Amazon for well-over a decade but, based on the mishaps that occurred this and past year, I am now forced to re-think my shopping strategy and find a new retail outlet.

These people lose, damage and steal my packages, on camera, in front of witnesses, they don't deliver to my door like they're supposed to and complaining to their customer service does absolutely nothing! They are the absolute worst, I'm missing countless packages and there is nothing I can do but take them to court.
