I have always enjoyed using zoosk but what you pay for the subscription is not fair. You only get a few options with it. Other than that I did finally meet a real woman of value. Actually a true God fearing woman. If you are looking to meet someone you just might find them on zoosk.
Zoosk is okay. There security for keeping the scam artist is better than most sites. I took me right up to my last week to find a truly compatible understanding lady.
Just remember you have to be willing to put yourself out there to find someone. Never give up. Shop around on other sites if necessary.
I paid $19.95 for membership. In one month, I've had over 150 "views". Was getting my hopes up. Yet I NEVER could get anyone to chat with me online. That's ALL I wanted at first. So, I tried an experiment. Sent the following message to women who had viewed me who were supposedly online - "you're not online right now. This is a fake profile, right?" Got ONE response - "Fake profile? Or is a way that you can get me to respond?:-)"
I got the response I was looking for.
Until proven otherwise, I think this is a scam run by a handful of people getting rich taking advantage of people who legitimately want to meet other people via the internet.
UPDATE: There were actually some quite attractive women on zoosk. That's why I got my hopes up. There are, of course, the not-so-attractive. I guess most of the attractive ones are fake.
I am on Year 5 of a Personal Development Plan. I didn't want to add a relationship into the plans until Year 7 (at the earliest). Things have been going so well, I just wanted to see who was out there. One week into my subscription and I met Melissa. I kept my profile open the last 3 weeks because I didn't want to "jinx" things.
She came to town this weekend and - to get to the point - I am no longer looking to meet someone!
Thanks Zoosk! Your algorithm is scary good!
In my opinion this site is not at all about matching you up with someone more milking you for as much money as they can.
First they say its free but its is not,
Then you sign up and even though your in Canada they charge in U.S. (They Don't tell you)!
After paying Over $100 U.S. you find that they want you to buy "Coins" to look at profiles, see if someone has read your message, Etc. Etc.
As you browse the peoples A/C unless you are willing to pay all the members see you have visited thier profile which makes it appear like some just keep coming back to see you (are they interested... No) they just cannot browse without looking like they do?
Then as others have said they send you "This person likes you" but they disappear when you contact them?
If.
Also if I get another interested person from 2,500 km away I'm gonna scream, its crazy!
Not in any way worth the cost or your time..
I would highly recommend this to anyone willing to try online dating site. It is user-friendly, classy, and facilitates meeting someone in a simple, safe, appropriate manner. I met a wonderful young lady who seemed hand-picked by my creator and put into my life--I just had to make myself available here. I have waited a long time but this gal is worth it and the timing is perfect--I am flying 1000 miles to meet her, though we are already talking about our life ahead and what things I will bring when relocating to her--never felt something so real for someone, and we haven't enough met yet! If you care to follow our story, call me anytime and keep doing what you are doing here at zoosk--from the bottom of my heart, and hers, THANK YOU!
Be patient and be open to meeting men you might not originally think are a match. There ARE great men here.
Tips: Check the date your account will auto reset and cancel it a day or two before that. Avoid the auto deduction from your credit card.
Avoid scammers! They are usually not in your city, get really "close" really quick... "Hi beautiful, I was reading your profile and believe... and I love puppies and cuddling and walks on the beach, blah blah blah. They write long, run-on sentences.
This site is terrible. The concept of needing coins to unlock a match is truly absurd. What are we paying for with membership? The carousel is stupid since it has no details so you are saying yes or no not knowing where in the planet the person is located. The chat is slow and usually you end up not connecting with someone because they are not online at the time. Many of the men were only interested in one thing and it was not a friendship, dating or a real relationship. Save your money!
All I have to say is the people on there are fake, it's pay to play, or find out "if someone's
Read your message" or pay to see if they sent you a message. Total scam, you won't be able to delete your profile or get a refund from "Rashid", who wrote me personally. Save your money, drop the last two letters and go to the zoo.
I met my Lady over a year ago on Zoosk. I don't normally write reviews but I'm writing this because I am so thankful for meeting this woman of mine, who I may never have any other way! I don't think I'll be needing a dating app ever again.
Not a good experience at all. They took my $29.95 from my visa account and then declined any services that I was told came with the payment. Messages and chat etc... I tried calling their help line several times only to get put on hold for 30-45 mins. No answer. Their help web site is a dead end. Then they deleted my account after I posted to others why I could not respond to their messages. I plan on sending my visa statement to our attorney general.
I should have checked out the reviews of this site before I subscribed to it... My story sounds like everyone else's here... They charge you to join and communicate with one another. But then they also want to charge you for every text that someone sends to you... That or they encourage you to submit to one of their junk sites either buy something to gain points... Which in turn takes over a month for it to apply towards your points... The survey questionnaire's are ridiculous they repeat some of the same questions over and over in different ways... Which is very strange...
Just joined it... there are a lot fake or old profile... do u have seen a woman take a self picture with an old Nokia cell phone! You will receive a lot of chat request from the person who never been online, and there is a message if u want to be sure that your message has been read, pay 35 coins...! What the $#*! they are who think that the customers are idiot!
It was a fantastic experience from the very beginning! I communicated only with verified people. Win Win! I met someone within two weeks and we made a connection. I have been a member of 3 other on-line dating sites and this one by far was hands down the best. I would recommend it to my friends and hopefully I will not need these service again but if I did, I would only use Zoosk!
Disappointing.
Costly, plus additional charging.
Questionable replies.
Had photo removed, as it showed a shoulder, and barely visible area of stomach.
Verdict, in my opinion, a complete waste of time and money.
I needed to find a way to meet someone new and not being one that goes out much and really does not ever get a chance top meet a lot of new people. So I decided to give the on-line dating a try. I had tried years previous with some success. I was just about to give up on the Zoosk site when I got the message from him. I knew the minute I saw his picture and read his profile that he and I were probably going to be a good match. We have not been a part very much since our first date. He is AMAZING and I truly feel God blessed me with this wonderful man. It is so good to have someone put such a smile on your face every day. I am one lucky lady!
I hope it works out between Mark and I time will tell. I was wondering, is there anyway you could take the next month charge off because my subscription ended on Friday it's Sunday. I wanted cancel Friday because I met him and didn't get around to cancel. If this does not workout I'll definitely go back on Zoosk. Please let me know if you could take the charge off my Visa *******757. Thank you, Michelle
In fairness to any business, you can't call it a scam unless it promises something that it can't or won't deliver when you pay for it. All Zoosk promises, as far as I know, is the privilege of messaging other members.
The fact that they charge much more than competitive dating sites for this privilege doesn't make them dishonest: just stupid.
I have been widowed for nearly two years and have been dating for a year now on various dating sites and have met some people, but finally found the guy who, like me was looking for a second chance at love after having lost his wife. Zoosk brought us together! He proposed!
I also wish i could give this negative stars! It's a crap site with the biggest collection of creeps online! I wasted my money believing their fake google reviews and bought a 3 month subscription to then learn I have to "earn coins" to get the contact info of people i'm paired with, etc. It's a scam & garbage! Stay away!
Answer: These view are fake. Zoosk is lousy site! They obviously mislead their customers giving them fake likes and matches. You get instant bot auto-responses. I left to http://J4Love.net The result of my search there is incredibly awesome: I finally spent Christmas with my woman! I had wasted 11 months on Zoosk and then it took me just one month here to meet my perfect woman. Don't let Zoosk con you into their shady and phony "dating" kingdom. Zoosk is worthless, time is precious! The longevity of profiles is tremendous, they are there for years, obviously outdated.
Answer: The real matches are scant and located at distant places. The fake matches are abundant especially when your membership is about to end. It's phony. I met my girlfriend on http://J4Love.net This dating service is a lot better than Zoosk, Match, Tinder, etc. They are more professional with ethical approach to business - something that Zoosk lacks now. Zoosk used to be better couple of years ago, but now they suck.
Answer: ZOOSK, is a total RIPOFF
Answer: NO MA'AM IT IS NOT. In fact I only used the coins when I could get them for free. Under the system that's no longer possible. Nobody takes that sort of thing seriously, and for a woman it's even less relevant.
Answer: In the two months I have been on Zoosk. I have chatted with a number of woman, exchanged phone numbers and talked on the phone and I am just an average looking joe. I have also had times when I received a chat request and the person does not respond. You do have to pay to chat and the other person has to be a paid member. OK if your reading this there is one thing I found, if you search, only pay attention to the ones that say "recently online", the other ones may be fake or no longer active. It's a numbers game I have had many that did not respond to my messages also.
Answer: I believe it is. But how safe is the internet these days. Just don't be quick to give too much information too soon you will know when its right to share. Good luck
Answer: Not at all don't bother buying them just play some games u will get some
Answer: Chances are you're sending a message to someone that was a member long ago and isn't registered any longer. Zoosk is a total scam.
Answer: Unfortunatly not. You have to be a member. I suggest you don't try this site. It won't help you to find wat you're looking for. Cheers. R.
Answer: I can't believe you expect that! The whole idea is anonymity until people are comfortable with exchanging personal info.
Zoosk has a rating of 2.3 stars from 3,553 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Zoosk most frequently mention fake profiles, customer service and credit card. Zoosk ranks 70th among Dating sites.
