WORST EVER
May 2, 2015

Made an appointment to see a Doctor. Had a 2 hour wait and was never seen by the Doctor I booked with, only a nurse practitioner who never addressed any of the reasons I came to see the doctor for.
When it came review time zocdoc would not allow my negative review for the Doctor.

My Expirience

It is a great site, I loved it. What I didn't like is people offering amazon gift card for some inconvenience that happened, I told them it was not necessary and he insisted to do so, emails came and went and nothing happened, so why offer if you can't deliver, that was the most inconvenience of all, the actual site is great and convenient.

Prefer to call instead

I would prefer calling the doctors myself to schedule the appointments. The cost of the appointment is not clear from the website and it could be way above my expectation. If I have to call to ask about the cost, why can't I just call to make the appointment? It was a waste of my time traveling to the doctor's office for nothing. Also, the doctor's office seemed dark, cold and uncomfortable. The cost and quality of care does not match. My previous experience with the doctors were not good either. I was not seen by the doctor I signed up for. The quality of care was below average, yet almost every doctor has 5 star review. I decided to deactivate the account prevent further negative experience on my side.

I found ZocDoc when I was searching for a MD on my phone. I downloaded the app and filled out my profile that took less than 5 minutes. It's fast and easy and I love being able to see when I can book an appointment rather than sitting on a phone with a receptionist trying to juggle my schedule to fit their schedule. On ZocDoc, I can take my time, book my appointment and rest assured that my visit is set and that they will take my insurance. It's truly revolutionary... I wish I thought of it first!

Convienent and Easy!

I was using Zoc Doc for a while before a lot of my other providers new about it and I love the fact that I can make appointment on my own at my convenience. They have so many specialties and doctors to choose from and I don't have to search around because it's all in one place.

Most of the time it's excellent and helps me a see a doctor the same day. Takes all of the hassle out of finding a doctor that accepts your insurance and helps you find close, qualified doctor.

Just make sure to call and confirm your appointment before you go, because sometimes the doctors offices don't record your appointment so you show up and they don't have any record of you.

Great app, until you get a crappy doctor

I found the app easy to use, great service in finding appointments I otherwise would have to spend more time making. However, the app doesn't allow users to leave bad feedback about zocdoc doctors. We had a pretty negative experience with a doctor and when I tried leaving honest feedback, the app wouldn't let me save the feedback. Like 1 star for waiting (we waited for over an 1.5 in a pediatrician's office.) or the diagnosis was wrong (another 1 star)... Zocdoc would not accept the review.

Don't bother with this one. It let me think I had booked a badly needed appointment with a doctor over a long holiday weekend, only to get a call the morning of the appointment from the doctor saying I really had no appointment at all. The doctors office said Zocdocs no only has no authority to book appointments for them, but has no real access to their schedule appointment book. I wasted valuable time thinking I was taken care of. Seems like a bogus mess of a site, pretending they have a working relationship with a doctors office when in fact, they don't at all. Just call the doctor directly.

Not buying it

Not buying it. I recently found out that a very poor doctor received a five star rating on zocdoc with a total of 44 reviews. It appears that Zocdoc creates a different reality, one in which the best doctors aren't even reviewed, but the worst are all of a sudden receiving slew of positive reviews. I don't know the dynamic, how these reviews come to be, but I know it doesn't jive with reality. The reality, most people don't leave reviews unless they're very unhappy. This is why dozens of positive reviews can often be a red flag and it's certainly is the case in this situation.

They start out telling you that if a client books an appointment and they don't keep it, they sign up for a service not provided by you, if you are not in-network with their insurance, you have 24 hours to cancel the appointment and not get charged. However, after receiving my first bill, they charged me for every appointment clients made that did not cancel the appointment themselves and when I called to dispute it, they told me that they are not a referral service, just a booking service and the it is the client, not the provider, that has 24 hours to cancel before the provider gets billed.

TERRIBLE
September 20, 2017

Terrible Service. Joe our account Manager is refusing to cancel our account. We have emailed him and spoke to him. Worst customer Service ever Nothing but problems with them. TERRIBLE... Not worth the hassle.

Easier to find a doctor.
October 15, 2015

I like the ease of finding a doctor, and the desire of the doctors to ease pain, but, after three times of receiving injections for back and leg pain and needle and pin sharp pains in legs and back, the injections have not helped, and it hurts so bad that I can't get a good nights sleep.

Lack of Communication

Initially, the ZocDoc experience was great. I was able to make my appointment on line and complete all the necessary forms prior to the appointment. However, when I arrived, I quickly discovered that none of the completed forms were received by the medical office so I had to complete all the paperwork again.

It's okay but has limits...

Love that I can make and cancel an appointment without having to call the doctor but I would love the app but it needs to have a search feature so you don't have to scroll through all the doctors to find your doctor or not find your doctor which is the case.

I made an appointment for an OB GYN visit on ZocDoc and arrived at my appointment on time. I stood in the office for twenty minutes waiting for someone to appear in the deserted office. When the nurse practitioner finally saw me she attempted to find me in the office system but could not locate me. According to their office I had no appointment and was not able to receive a consultation or examination. I took time out of my work day to travel to the doctor's office, wait for someone to see me in the office, and then was told I had no appointment. All because ZocDoc messed up and somehow my appointment did not transfer to the office system. It is difficult to find time during the work week to make an appointment and arriving at an office to be told I had no appointment was frustrating and not acceptable.

The high tech side of reaching out to doctors
December 5, 2015

If you need to find a doctor, this is an efficient way than just blindly searching the web. If you need an appointment, this is a great gadget, a lot easier than dealing with doctors' secretaries. It also reminds you of follow-ups. And it saves time and ensures you get all your medical data by allowing you to input data before appointment. Excellent.

Sometimes OK

I've been using Zoc Doc for a few years, however I am finding that some of the physicians listed either do not accept the insurance in question or do not exist at the address and phone number listed. This gets kind of aggravating. I've reported this to Zoc Doc on a couple of occasions. Other than this problem, it's a great tool to use in finding physicians, clinics and specialists.

Cool app

I like using both ZocDoc website & the app especially because of the fact that I can set my own appointments without having to call the doctor's office to set up the appointment. I also like the fact that it sends you an e-mail to give you 1 week reminder & another reminder on the day before of your appointments.

Love this website!

Easy to use and you can book your appointment day or night! I love that I dont have to sit on the phone and wait on hold. I dont have time to do this during the week. I can look at reviews of the doctors, check if they accept my insurance and pick my appointment all at the touch of a few buttons :)
