I love the idea of ZocDoc and the interface was intuitive. However, all of the appointments that I booked with doctors claimed to take my insurance (which was inputted correctly), but when I called to confirm all of them said they did not take my insurance. So frustrating and negates the convenience factor I thought I was gaining!
I appreciate the great service of zocdoc. Not only provide the ease of finding the right doctor but also taking responsibility for not so successful appointments. I had 2 instances when MD canceled my appointment and one was last minute. Zocdoc contacted me to inquire what happened and awarded me with Amazon gift card. It wasn't even zocdoc fault and still they awarded me. Thank you!
The website is easy to use. The best part is that I don't have to wait in queue for a long time when calling the doctor's office for an appointment. I can see exactly when he is available and can then schedule easily.
For the New York City area where the competition to be the best is exceptionally high.
I have found the physicians on the site to be very well measured. Further out to the Bronx and Brooklyn I was not happy with my choices. But Midtown and SOHO you won't find better choices at independent small practices.
I was told to use this app, by my son. Once I downloaded the app and began to search for a doctor I needed. It was easy to see their profiles and credentials, putting me at ease who I was expecting to see once I visited the office. They made it easy to set up my appointment by date and time. Without waiting on the phone for scheduling from a receptionist. It is a great tool to use when your not sure what doctor to use.
I am not thrilled with ZocDoc. I find the site difficult to navigate, and although the automatic reminder message I received was straightforward, I would much prefer to get a call from the doctor's office.
They didn't have sufficient info about the doctor. I waited 3 weeks for the appointment and zocdoc told me the doctor confirmed, but the doctor didn't get back to me. I found that the doctor's office was in a large practice located in the basement of the co-op i was sent to. Zocdoc apologized and gave me a $5 gift card to amazon (lost three weeks of waiting for the appointment and $20 on carfare). I will never use zocdoc again... they don't really know their referred doctors in my opinion.
If I could give ZOCDOC negative stars I would. They had people searching for med management and coming up with MY name and I am very obviously an LMHC (as advertised). They charged me 450$! And ALL of the client asked me to prescribe them medicine. ZOCDOC IS A FRAUD! I even made sure my reasons to search me had nothing to do with meds and made sure zocdoc did not see it on there end. After they agreed, they still did not refund me. FRAUD! I will blast this website until you FRAUDS give me back my MOTHERLOVIN MONEY!

I am a medical practice administrator and have found ZocDoc's unethical client recruitment actions to be highly inappropriate, aggressive, unprofessional, and deceptive. Our office continues to be victim to ZocDoc's ongoing and unacceptable solicitation tactics and confrontational behavior toward staff. I have contacted the Attorney General's office to initiate a formal complaint against ZocDoc's continual harassment and potentially unlawful business practices.
Before Zocdoc the process of finding the right doctors and specialists was a pain. From finding the right fit to coordinating appointments. I dreaded every bit of it. But with the helpful reviews on Zocdoc and the search filters that allow me to find doctors in my area and doctors who take my insurance. I can look at a calendar of available appointments and take my pick. Unless I can find a doctor with the ease of Zocdoc, I don't want it.
I have made five appointments through Zocdoc. I get an "appointment pending" email but not a confirmation. When I call the doctor's office to confirm, the slot is taken by someone else and I have to reschedule. It's really frustrating and I have had medical care delayed four times due to an inability to schedule. The one time that I successfully scheduled an appointment through Zocdoc, the practitioner I saw was not the person that I had scheduled with and they were not of the same specialty that I had scheduled with, so, again, care was delayed as I had to seek out the appropriate provider after the fact.
Haley, we're sorry to hear about the troubles you've experienced with these bookings. This is not how Zocdoc is intended to work, and our providers have full control over the availability and appointments in their calendars. Most bookings are confirmed within one business hour. We'd like to connect to investigate these issues further. If you're willing, please contact us at service@zocdoc.com or 855-962-3621. We want to ensure you get the healthcare you need. - The Zocdoc Service Team
Zocdoc makes it possible for me to schedule an appointment same day and I feel confident the physician I am visiting will be able to help me. The reviews, pictures, and background information provided in each profile makes it a breeze to select a physician
I've used ZocDoc 3 times, and 2 of the 3 times the experience was not great. I have dealt with doctors not having accurate availability listed, and not seeing the doctor that I had the appointment for. My experience has been more misses than hits.
Hi there Darren,
We are terribly sorry to hear about the trouble you experienced. Could you give us a call at (855) 962-3621? We would love to figure out what is happening here.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

It is one of the most informative and user-friendly sites. I have trouble accessing my own insurance company's site to find doctors. I have no trouble finding the same information I am looking for in the insurance company's site with added perk of being up-to-date.
The sales representatives that work for this company are rude, pushy, argumentative and disrespectful. If the owner of this company doesn't do a better job of screening who they hire to speak with doctors and their representatives, they will not prosper. Horrible. Horrible. And horrible.
I liked having help looking for a dr. Did not know where to go and who to ask so this was refreshing. Looking for someone helped to put me at ease. The first Dr. that I choose was not my cup of tea so to speak. The second one was. Thanks so much for that.
I signed up to find a new ob/gyn. My insurance is Blue Cross Federal, and it showed just all of the doctors I was interested in as out-of-network. When I contacted Blue Cross, they said that every doctor and practice I wanted was actually in-network. Zocdoc was a waste of time, and worse, I would have ended up with a doctor I didn't want.
Hi Susan. We are sorry yo hear about this but thanks for taking the time to leave this feedback. Turns out, offices themselves are in charge of listing accurate in network insurance information. We would love to get to follow up with these offices about these inaccuracies. Please feel welcome to reach us at service@zocdoc.com or at (855) 962-3621 so we can collect more information.
I absolutely love the ability to research my my doctors before I make the appointment; I feel like I am apart of the decision process. All of my team pcp and specialty doctors I found on ZocDoc after suddenly fainting one day. As a young adult I wanted the best care with a knowledgeable team. ZocDoc has surpassed my expectations in active healthcare management. I recently had a surgery on my ankle and all he reviews were precise in the doctor's attributes. All I can say is thank you, it all started here at ZocDoc!
They only want reviews of the actual doctor not the office staff or the people you actually see when you go to the doctor's office. I do not want to use a doctor that hires bad staff and this app will not help you weed that out. They only want positive reviews of the doctor himself.
Hello Michael,
It sounds like you have some concerns about our review policy. We post positive reviews, negative reviews, and everything in between. The goal is to have patients review the doctor specifically, but mentioning the staff or location in your review is also allowed as long as you were seen by the doctor. We would be happy to discuss the policy with you to help clear up any confusion. When you have a chance, please give us a call at (855) 962-3621.
Best,

I left a bad review and then had someone call me to follow up on it and apologize for my experience, and they told me they were going to send me an amazon card, but never received anything.
Why call and said you will send someone and never do?
Hi Michelle,
We are so sorry you did not receive your Amazon gift card! Send us an email at service@zocdoc.com or give us a call at (855) 962-3621 and we can straighten that out for you.

Answer: Hello Mark. Zocdoc offers a closed-loop review system that allows patients to share their experiences after being seen for an appointment booked on Zocdoc. These reviews can be found on each individual provider's Zocdoc profile. You can search for a provider at https://www.zocdoc.com/. Please let us know if we can help you find the care that you need or if there is a different set of reviews that you are trying to access at this time. You can reach our service team at (855)962-3621.
Answer: Hi Sandra, we hope that you were able to get the care that you were looking for. At Zocdoc, we are not able to offer any medical advice or guidance so we recommend you contact your doctor directly if you need to ever verify they will be able to provide the treatment you are looking for. Feel free to reach out to the Zocdoc team at (855) 962-3621 or service@zocdoc.com if there is anything we can do to help you find the care that you need.
Answer: Yes, prices appear to be around $44-180 now. Offices get charged this even for cancellations, no-shows, and fake bookings. Zocdoc has no built in protections to negate this type of booking behaviors. Why would they when they profit off it? Zocdoc also prohibits practices from talking about this fee as it violates their "community standards."
Answer: Hello Swetha. Thanks for reaching out. We'd love to help you find a doctor and book an appointment right online. If you go to www.Zocdoc.com, you can search for doctors by specialty, location, and insurance. You'll be able to see a list of doctors and their availability. Once you select a doctor, you can choose the time that is best for you. Once you complete the booking process, the doctor will receive your appointment information and confirm your appointment via email. This is completely free for you as a patient. Please give us a call at (855) 962-3621 if you need help with this or anything else!
Answer: Hi Amanda! That depends on the doctor's office! Every provider is different, so it would be best to get in touch with them about specific pricing information. Give us a call at 855-962-3621 if you have any other questions. In health, Mary M. Zocdoc Service Team
Answer: Hi Mallory! Thanks for your question! You can see a provider's reviews by viewing the full profile and scrolling down. All of the reviews will be listed there toward the left side of the page. Give us a call at (855) 962-3621 if you are having any trouble! In health, Mary M. Zocdoc Service Team
Zocdoc has a rating of 2.6 stars from 1,425 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Zocdoc most frequently mention doctors office, insurance company and new patient. Zocdoc ranks 1st among Doctor Reviews sites.
Hi Zachary,
This should definitely have not been your experience using ZocDoc. Our doctors guarantee the insurances they list on our site are accurate, and we want to get to the bottom of this right away. Could you give us a call at (855) 962-3621? We would love to take a look at what is happening here.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
