Horrible company. We signed up for a month-to-month deal, had horrible "service after the sale", had 0 appointments made, couldn't get a hold of anyone at ZocDoc to find out our account stats (pageviews, etc.)
We have been trying to cancel for more than 6 weeks and we continue to get charged. When I finally spoke with someone in person, he made up lie after lie about who was able to authorize the cancellation. Even though I personally signed the user agreement and authorized the subscription, I'm supposedly not authorized to cancel. Others in our org have contacted them and we are still being charged.
They also harassed us about having patients fill out reviews. One provider was new and didn't have any patients, so they told us we should have our own office staff fill out the reviews instead. Totally dishonest and unethical.
I feel bad for all the people who invested in this service. ZocDoc will go down in flames - probably disguised as a massive lawsuit.
Superior. Reviews by patients indicated the opthamologist was older, wiser, experienced and actually listened to problems. The website indicated if that doctor was taking new patients and which insurance. Best of all, I got an appt within 3 days without having to call anyone. Staff lived up to their billing, as did the doc. I'll use ZocDoc again for sure.

Great experience! I was able to book an appointment and complete all necessary paperwork before going to my appointment! So much easier and faster than being on hold forever, and being able to choose the day and time most convenient for me.
This site is only for the very bottom of the barrel doctors. I booked an appointment with a dentist, a cardiologist, Opthamologist and a disastrous visit to a Dermatologist.
After all the appointments I have come to the conclusion that these are the doctors that do rank high in the field of medicine.
Outdated offices, very few if any patients, odd hours, extremely out of date equipment and procedures, unkempt looking Doctors. Basically Dr. Frankenstein with the monster included.
I have good insurance and I tried all of them with the best intentions but never again ZocDoc.
I will use Zocdoc now to see if a physician is on it. If they are I will cancel the appointment.
I've found that doctors I know take my insurance don't come up in search results even though they are listed on Zocdoc. Also, I've found dcotors through Zocdoc who later are unavailable for appointments through Zocdoc which is frustrating.
Love the ease of appointment making though, and the reminders are great too. Also love that sometimes you can submit your paperwork ahead of your appointment.

I feel that I am being pestered. It only takes once and I get the message. I'd prefer to fill out the paperwork just ONCE rather than for each appointment. You certainly can save data from the first session versus asking for it each time. My name, date of birth, SSAN, allergies, diseases, person to call in an emergency have NOT changed.
Oh gosh, Steve! We certainly don't mean to pester. Any past information you've submitted via our Check-In feature will indeed be saved in your account. If you'd like to submit these forms to a new provider, all you need to do is review your saved information and fill in any additional questions you haven't answered in the past. (Questions may vary, depending on the provider and specialty!)

I really like the app and have found it helpful but despite this and having active appointments booked through the app I have been unable to open it for about a month. It freezes on the first screen that comes up as it loads and never moved past it.

The site itself makes things so much easier. The general user friendliness, the ease to make appointments and be reminded of them, make this site so easy. I found zocdoc when I was searching for a new doctor. I signed up and scheduled an appointment with a doctor on their site, said it was scheduled. A day later the doctor office called and said they had to reschedule my appointment because the time I had picked was not available. I tried 4 different doctors and picked the date and times that zocdoc had on their site and then received calls from all 4 that those appointments were not available. It's a waste of time to go through this site. Call the doctor yourself, your better off.

The office personnel lacked compassion and basic manners on my visits. There was no eye contact, hello, or smile. I was even called by just my last name. One of the office personnel lied about me to the NP saying that I yelled at her on the phone. I asked if they had an office manager and if I could speak with them. I was put on hold. The NP came on the line and told me not to yell and proceeded to give me a lecture. He also told me that 4 hours was more than reasonable for a call back from a primary doctor. Their policy was 24 hour call back. If I felt that bad, I should just go to the ER. I told him I was not a medical person and needed to talk to one. He said he was eventually going to call me back. I told him " sorry to bother you". That was it.
Btw, I NEVER saw a doctor, even when I asked to see one.
I now have a new doctor who has reassured me that he will help me.

Our practice signed up for ZocDoc. They charge 1 yr in advance, they promise to market for you. Instead we got harassed for us to add their widget and website to the marketing that we already do. They want us to use ZocDoc as a booking system when we already have one and they they want to claim they got us the patients. We didn't fall for it and so far (6 months later) we have not gotten one patient. On its own, ZocDoc does not generate referrals. If you tag it to your own voice mails (for calls you generated through marketing that actually works) they claim they booked the appointment for you. If you add their widget to your website and you market your website, they will claim credit for appointments generated through them. It's a scam. Don't fall for it!
I love the reminders that are sent. You can stay on top of your needed appointments. The fact that providers can be grouped by the insurance that you have makes finding one easy. I like seeing my provider's schedule and can pick a date easily. Schedule an appointment by clicking the mouse-that easy!
I had an appointment with a doctor that I made through ZocDoc online. I went to the Doctor's office at the scheduled time (I even had a confirmation that morning of the appointment) and the office was locked and no one was there. I waited 20 minutes and no one ever showed up. I phoned ZocDoc and spoke with Rachel, who was entirely sympathetic and extremely professional in her response. She offered all the assistance that she was able to and even sent me an Amazon Gift Card for my troubles. This bad experience was in no way the fault of ZocDoc, and I will continue to schedule my appointment through this site in the future. (certainly not with that doctor though!)
I received an Email from ZocDoc advising me that I needed to make an appointment for dermatology. I already had an appointment but this site made another appointment at a different time and day. When I called the help number the rep said she didn't understand why 'I didn't understand"? And when I requested my name be removed from their list she said that all my appointments would be cancelled. I hung up and called my local dermatologist who was unaware that zocdoc would have called me? Very very BAD!

Having moved to a new area and not knowing any doctors in the region, ZocDoc was very a helpful and convenient resource in making my first appointment. It was good to receive a reminder beforehand, too.
My experience was poor. I was feeling very sickly and I made an appointment via ZocDoc for the local Care Station. I had been there before with no problems. My appointment was for 11 AM on January 14. I signed in at 10:45 AM and was never called. At 12 I asked when I would be seen. The secretary had no notification of my appointment and had just skipped over my name. I showed her my confirmation. No apology. I was just told to return at 2 PM. I did return and was not seen until after 3 PM. By 5 PM I was diagnosed with pneumonia. Exhausted I still had to wait another hour for my medications at the pharmacy.

I had the worst experience with this DR. It seemed like she just wanted to get out of there. She did not at all address the problem that I was there for. She wrote a prescription for B/P meds. And wrote it wrong. I think that she is incompetent at the very most.

Answer: Yes, prices appear to be around $44-180 now. Offices get charged this even for cancellations, no-shows, and fake bookings. Zocdoc has no built in protections to negate this type of booking behaviors. Why would they when they profit off it? Zocdoc also prohibits practices from talking about this fee as it violates their "community standards."
