Excellent service and tools. Once I updated my resume I got no less than five views and offers to apply, when I finally took my offer I had three others waiting for my acceptance. I'm very pleased.

I would recommend utilizing other options like Nethire and Indeed. They took our company for $120 and will never see a dollar from us or our peers. We employee 100 people through Ontario and will also be addressing the charges with the BBB and Visa. How can you charge for an account on hold!

I use several job find sites. Ziprecruiter is by bar not great. After filling out my profile completely, 9 out of 19 job references are not related to my job search.
The worse part is, they give out your personal information on your resume to companies not in your field. They sell your information, this is not a sure place to provide anything personal.

This company is a farce. They send you emails of jobs that are old and outdated. They also send you jobs that are completely outside of the industry in which you're looking for and in which you are not interested in. Don't waste your time.

Twice the cost… 1/10th the value!
August 10, 2021

I work for a staffing company and have used Ziprecruiter for 5 years. They used to be great. But the last 2 years have been anything but.

Last year I had 50 job openings posted and in 5 days got over 350 applicants. In a middle of a pandemic! The same jobs posted for the same time period this year and I have 37 applicants. 1/10th of what they did last year. 18 of the ads have been viewed by no one!

Last year I was paying $1400/month for the ads this year they want $3000.

They recommended opening a new account. Did that paid $2000 for 20 ads. Barely any improvement. This company used to be great…. Now you should use indeed or Glassdoor.

Meh...
July 26, 2021

Constantly matched with irrelevant jobs in my field. For example, this morning I was sent a job posting for a mechanic. I am an intermodal transportation manager. Not related at all.

Waste of time
July 23, 2021

Signed up for a trial for which I got charged anyway. I still am trying to deal with these charges.

I received over 40 resumes and the majority of them didn't even respond. Of those who did respond and take my job, all of them did not show. It was all around a bad experience and their customer service was unhelpful.

Bait n switch
July 20, 2021

I am being spammed by zip recruiter, and I never signed up with them. Unsubscribing doesn't work. I did TRY to look at jobs for US postal service on AL.com's job site, but the purportedly legitimate USPS site was faked by AL.com and their paid subscriber. The fake postal site required email to LOOK at postal job list, as well as date of birth. I knew this latter was illegal in hiring and didn't provide DOB. Field was pre populated with date so I clicked forward to see if page would roll. And surprising me, it did. 1989 for birth year! Couldn't get out of non USPS jobs, home depot, etc appearing instead. Subsequent spam emails from: zip recruiter, next smart match, emergency email.org.
Plainly put, these bad actors are boiler room brokers, and both AL.com AND clients understand their own scams on job seeking public. And no one should be allowed to fake a government website for any reason. It made me question the legitimacy of all job adverts on AL.com job board. Watch out for that bounteous job list, as it's likely fake.

I started a free trial to see if it was a good way to find staff. I received terrible candidates and was charged over $1,056.00. It was a terrible experience. I would suggest DO NOT try Zip Recruiter.

We have used Ziprecruiter for years, so we are puzzled as to why after 3 weeks, we only recd 18 resumes when, in the past, we received hundreds. The salesperson said that the type of ad we place, ie $250 w a small discount usually runs 6 months. We only placed an ad for one month in the past with great results. Then, we were told to switch the location from Decatur, GA to Atlanta and change the job title from Legal Assistant/Paralegal to just Legal Assistant. Finally, we told to pay for a job boost, which is a $100 plus. Yet, the initial days when we were at the top of the search engine, we recd just a couple resumes. Do not use Ziprecruiter right now. If anyone can share, why we are getting terrible results, please let me know.

Want a refund?
March 9, 2021

ZipRecruiter gave me a refund after I kept calling. I told them I was going to tie up their resources until I got my money back. I was in a rude mood and regretted being so ugly, but it worked. Find another job site, this one sucks. They sent zero qualified candidates. Indeed.com and Craigslist are better and cheaper. It's very difficult to find good help, especially for jobs that require skilled labor. Don't waste your money on this site.
Indeed.com is free to start, and they sent good candidates. When I started paying—no more good candidates.

When you sign up for zip recruiter they send you few resumes of qualified candidates but it turns out they have been looking for jobs for sometime and they can't find one for whatever reasons, then when you start your subscription, you barely get any candidates even though your job posting is very competitive.

I tried ZipRecruiter as I was needing an experienced commercial glazier. After seeing nothing but irrelevant resumes, I cancelled my subscription during the free trial time. A couple of months later I started getting resumes emailed, but they were just as worthless as the ones they had sent me before. To give an example, they sent me retail managers who had no experience with doing commercial windows. I figured they were just trying to get me back with a "see what we can do for you", but was surprised to see a charge for ~$500 a couple days ago.

When I contacted them, they insisted that I activated the resume search and had approved the charges. They won't refund my money and they continue to claim that I approved it. This time, I made them remove my credit card info so they can't charge me again.

Whatever you do, stay as far away from this company as possible. As an employer they'll cheat you. As a job seeker they'll likely send you irrelevant job apps. This is a flagrantly dishonest company, as you'll be able to tell by many of the reviews here.

Delivered resumes
June 26, 2020

Delivered resumes and applications to my email inbox.
Most applicants were from out of town and country (mostly from the middle East) even after settings requirements they be within driving distance to the job and not accepting applications from outside 100km. Spoke to them about fixing this numerous times with no change.

Closed both job postings, but were continued to get billed until we contacted them to cancel all of our services, with no indication to this.

Tldr: little applications, mostly not from North America, overpriced and were still charged after we closed our job postings.

Dishonest
May 20, 2020

I too have had a very bad experience with Zip Recruiter. Their billings practice is very deceiving and deceptive. They have this box that you have to accept "Daily Subscription" that you think is for the ad you are running. Then the candidates that they send you don't meet the criteria that you asked for. You get frustrated and pull the plug on the ad. But then you realize after you keep getting billed over $500 that they deceived you and you are still getting billed even though you no longer have an ad listed. Heed my warning DO NOT SIGN WITH ZIP RECRUITER
