I web searched for an ez guitar for the fingers of a 67 year old. Based upon the testimonials, website information about its construction and the return policy I purchased a ZAD900CE. I started playing a few years ago on an Epiphone EJ200CE/vs. I thought it sounded pretty good. I just received my Zager. It is a thing, a work of art. Then I strummed an E chord... wow... wow... wow. I felt my body vibrating. The sound is so full and deep. I struggle with bar chords, but my F, A and G chords were too easy. Then I plugged it into my 30 watt amp and the sound was so clear. To complete this review I must talk about the unbelievable customer service. I emailed Denny Jr a few times with my questions and he answered within an hour or two. I look forward to using the video lesson extensively. The product, service and support are "top shelf". They treat you like family. This guitar is the real deal and a tremendous value for your hard earned dollar.

The Everything!
After researching other brands of 12 string guitars I settled on Zager for a few reasons. One was because of their 100 percent return policy if I was not happy with the product. I felt any company that stood behind their instrument with a policy like that had to be good. The second was that during my research I was in contact with Dennis Jr. From beginning to end making me feel more than just another check mark on their sales sheet. This communication was also on the weekend and off hours when most people are relaxing.
My shipment arrived in a well packed carton in the case provided by Zager, that also has a built in relative humidity indicator inside the case itself.

Now the More!
After some very minor tuning ( the Grover tuners are great making the minor adjustments easy) I started to play and the sound was clear and resonated into the body making the sound of the 12 strings ring out. When I amplified it with the Fishman Aura Pro the sound was magnified and filled my music room! While I was playing I could smell the fresh smell of the wood making me realize the detail that had been put into this beautifully hand crafted instrument that was indeed made just for me! Zager Update:

I bought my second Zager, and am most pleased, and excited again! I bought an OM. During the pandemic it arrived in just a few days, and the Fed Ex guy handed it gently over the fence in it's protective special Zager cardboard box and hard case. Delivery and condition of the guitar was perfect on opening and perfectly ready to play. My first Zager had a little buzz and the easily accessed truss rod was easily tightened with the provided Allen wrench; my second Zager "asked" for a little easing of tension. I had seen a Zager set up video on line for free, so I was able to know that no other adjustments were required, with the wooden ruler test.

COMPARED TO MY MARTINS WHICH I HAD PURCHASED AND PLAYED FOR A COUPLE OF DECADES: the Martin truss rod tool had to be specially purchased and the Martin location for the truss nut was difficult, like you had to be a specialist to find and access it by touch deep in the sound hole, with a special tool. The Zager was easy and the on line video shows you don't need to take it to a guitar set up specialist. The Martins sound great, but are much harder to play. The Martins sound great, but I'm happier with both Zagers. I've sold one of my Martins that I worked so hard to afford and loved but it was hard to play, and I now seldom play my remaining Martin (a nylon OOC), and may keep it solely because of the nylon strings (it's superior to my classical guitar).

Bottom line: VERY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE WITH BOTH ZAGER. I'm so grateful to receive the fantastic guitars, shipped directly to me. Especially in the pandemic. My guitar playing is better by far than when I had a young man's hands!

Btw, I bought the OM off Zager sale page, and it appears perfect, was played by Denny the man, and was sleek, slick and ready to go! Its sound is fantastic also, although different than the African mahogany dreadnought, but my wife likes OM sound a smidgeon better because she says a prior played chord's sustain doesn't "walk" on the present chord played. Only her opinion, as I love em both, play them for different reasons, and she loves them, also.

REVIEW OF ZAGER ZAD50CEOM GUITAR
I just received my new guitar. I am an old guy 81 (in perfect health) who played lots of bluegrass music in the 50s and 60s in NYC. At the risk of being immodest I became pretty good and had a ball as a young man playing this great genre of music. Marriage, family, job, children caused me to play less and less over the years. Being home, I took out my most recent old guitar (Sigma Martin Made in Korea) and started playing again. I am amazed how much I remembered. I decided, on Impulse, to buy the above guitar. I wanted something slightly smaller than my very fine SIGMA and maybe easier to play. I am learning some Jazz now and find the guitar perfect for this genre. These are my impressions and short experience with this guitar.
1. The guitar came securely packaged.
2. It came in a beautiful hard padded case.
3. I purchased a Blem at a small discount but the finish is immaculate and beautiful. I can't find even a small blemish.
4. After a quick tune up I began to play new and old stuff and found the guitar to have a wonderful sound.
5. The strings and setup do make the guitar easy to play and the slightly smaller size is more comfortable at my age.
6. An inspection of the guitar shows it to be well made.
7. Very diligent customer service. They answer most questions usually in a half hour.
8. Lifetime warranty with shipping paid for both ways.
9. I am having a good time playing it.
There are many reviews of this company both positive and negative. I don't know the Zagers personally. I don't own stock in the company all I know Is that they sell a very beautiful musical instrument that sounds great and easy to play. The price is more than reasonable for a well made guitar compared to what an inexpensive guitar costs. Those of you who don't like Zager buy something else. Give your opinion and move on. The purpose of a guitar is to make good music so do it.

I've been playing guitar for almost 40 years, mainly electric but I always wanted a good quality acoustic guitar with a cut away body style. I came across an ad for Zager guitars, offering discount prices, free guitar case and free shipping! So being skeptical I checked out the web site, seeing all the guitars and reading about it's easy play-ability and some reviews, I took a chance and ordered a ZAD50CE. When the guitar arrived, I was awestruck by its beauty, detail, and craftsmanship. The guitar was already set up, low action, tuned and intonation perfect all over the neck. The sound is amazing, it has a nice warm tone but if you use the Zager picks, you can get a more crisp sound. Sounds great plugged in too, has a phase button and built in tuner. This is definitely the best acoustic guitar, I've ever played.

I had been considering adding one more quality guitar to my collection when I found out about Zager. Thinking I wanted to add a Gibson to my Taylor and Custom Martin, I almost did not go to the Zager website. After several days of contemplation, I thought why not. What do I have to lose? I would have lost out on owning a beautiful ZAD80CE "Aura" OM that plays and sounds as great as it looks. Not only that, I believe I would have had to pay twice as much for a Gibson of similar specifications. The ZAD80CE is quickly becoming my "go-to" guitar in a "plugged in" performance setting.

When I first opened the case and admired the ZAD800CE I ordered, I was really impressed with the craftsmanship and attention to detail put into making it. When I played it and heard its tone, I was hooked. The guitar looks amazing on the website and is even more so in person. I have been in need of a 12-string guitar as well, so I went ahead and purchased the ZAD900ce 12 string guitar and am super pleased with its quality, tone and big sound it presents along with the different options it brings to certain songs; I certainly will never let it go. Customer service was second to none as well with all the extras included. Many thanks to the Zager family for taking care of my needs.

I just finished playing my new ZAD80CE for over two hours straight and I am literally ecstatic over this guitar! The sound is incredible, I played it through my Fishman Loudbox Mini and the sound was/is perfect! Your advertising is spot on for this guitar. It doesn't have the "punch" or brightness of the Spruce Top but it has a superb, deep and rich tone with no ringing from the bottom strings. I agree that it has a more mellow sound and I absolutely love it! The new Fishman electronics allow me to really get the richest tone possible out of the amplifier and I couldn't be happier. I couldn't believe how much better it sounded than my 1996 Martin HD-28! Now granted I had a Fishman pickup added to that guitar after purchasing it. It sounds great amplified but I cannot get the same sound as I am getting out of my new Zager! This guitar is one I will be bragging about to all my friends and will be playing out with beginning at the end of this month! Thank you for this great product. Please let me know when you receive the ZAD50CE back. I loved that guitar also but there is no comparison between the sound of each; in my opinion. The ZAD80CE is incredible! This guitar is a real beauty maple binding all around flawless, I did adjust the string height to 3/16 at the 12th fret, plays and sounds wonderful deep mellow and rich, easy to play, I am 70 years young and have always played back porch stuff Country and bluegrass and I play a little fiddle, The guitar was in tune out of the box! Very nice it will be and is my new favorite! Really great case came with it! It also came to me fast I ordered it Saturday and received it Friday around noon time, so I received it on the fifth working day not bad!

I have recently received my ZAD50CE guitar and it is really nice. I had read a lot of mixed reviews, and watched the videos, so I wanted to see what all the talk was about.
It arrived in absolutely perfect condition without a scratch or mark on it. Solid spruce top, mahogany back and sides. I have been playing it for a few days, and it has a very bright, full sound for a guitar of its size. The action is very smooth and easy to play. The case is excellent quality too. It is a unique addition to my guitar collection and definitely a keeper!

I am an advanced beginner guitar player. I have been taking lessons for the past three years. I am not a great player, but I do enjoy the activity greatly and I am getting better. I am in my mid-40s and have been having issues with my fretting hand cramping after about 45-60 minutes of practice. I was looking for a guitar I could play longer without hand and wrist issues. The reviews are accurate, this is an extremely easy guitar to play. Whereas I usually had to stop playing after 45-60 minutes on my old guitar (due to hand and wrist pain), I played for almost 4 hours the first day I got my Zager. After all that time, no hand or wrist issues at all. The sound quality from my Zager is outstanding. I made my wife sit on the couch and close her eyes and I played my three guitars (2 I already had, plus the new Zager) in random order and asked her opinion about sound quality. The Zager won hands down!

I also like the Zager Easy Play strings. I put a pair on my original acoustic, and it made it much easier to play and sounded great.

Overall, the guitar is excellent, and the customer service has been fantastic.

I wanted to write and express my feelings about the Zager guitar I recently purchased. I have been playing guitar for more than 40 years and have owned numerous guitars in that time: Fender, Gibson, Music Man, Washburn, Martin. Anyone who plays guitar knows about the hype surrounding certain brands. And the hype is sometimes true to an extent... the key word there is sometimes. Let's face it: most guitars are over priced, and the guitar will only sound as good as the player.
That being said, I can attest, without reservation, that my Zager is the best sounding and most comfortable guitar I have ever played... and I bought the cheapest model they make! There are lots of technical reasons why Zager plays so well, but I don't really care about those things. If guitar players are honest with themselves, they will admit that a great guitar just has a certain... feel. Something that makes you want to just keep playing and playing. You grow fond of certain guitars and just love the way they work with your skills. I have a 1977 Fender P Bass that was the first good guitar I ever bought, so I feel very emotional about it. I already feel that way about my Zager, too. Your Zager will make you LOVE playing guitar.
