About 12 years ago I was in the market for an acoustic/electric guitar. I stumbled upon the Zager guitars. Well, I couldn't stop looking at the web site and researching them. I decided I just had to have one. I decided on the ZAD80CE. I wanted a body with a cutaway and the abalone inlay rosette with pearl fret markers just added to its beauty. The guitar itself is gorgeous and played like a dream right out of the box. Unplugged it still has a beautiful sound. This guitar is worth every penny and customer service is top notch. I highly recommend a Zager guitar to anyone who is looking for a high end, but good value guitar.

I quit looking for "that one guitar" after I purchased the Zager made guitar. I have been playing for 45 years and the action on this guitar is bar none. I purchased the smaller "OM" but the sound still resonates with an even tone. I had another "brand" name in mind that I was going to purchase, but chose the Zager instead. I'm very satisfied with the customer service as well. I truly enjoy the sound of their strings as well. The guitar is shipped with a hardshell case, no flimsy gig bag. I'm looking forward to purchasing the ceder top one in the near future.

My Zager 900-AE full body just arrived. It is gorgeous and the craftsmanship looks flawless. But how does it sound? The reverberation out of the big box is unreal. It came totally in tune, didn't even have to adjust or micro tune even a string! Only had just a few minutes to sit down and play, wow, what an instrument. I can't wait to play more, already I feel the difference in my fingers. Looking forward to playing Ventura Highway tonight completely. This guitar appears to be a great value for the money, and it's not cheap, and it's still a value! I started learning guitar at the age of 14 and over the years have had several. I am 68 years old and the old hands don't work as well as they use too. I worked as a luthier for several years and saw what Denny did to his guitars. It was an interesting approach so I decided to try one out. How can you go wrong with the money back grantee if I did not like it. I ordered the ZAD 50 C/E Two years ago and have not been disappointed. I ended up selling my other guitars and keeping this one.

I have been playing guitar for over 40 years, and much prefer an acoustic. Don't consider myself a great player, but can keep entertained. Have had several guitars over the years of what I would consider mid price/quality range. Recently was able to jump up to the higher level due to the great pricing of Zager guitars. Ordered the Zager ZAD80CE, and OMG do I have my dream guitar now! The sound on it's own is incredible with very easy play-ability, but customer service, quality, and the electronics make this beautiful piece stand out.

Just a quick note of thanks for recommending and delivering my 80 Series Orchestra Model. At age 71 my arthritis limited my chord formations and playing duration. Right out of the case I plucked an F chord and several bar chords effortlessly. Now all I want to do is practice, practice, practice thanks to my Zager guitar's accommodating size, forgiving keyboard and older player design.

This review is for their strings. Average guitar player here! Been playing another set of strings for years and my wife and I jumped on the internet craze of uploading a home movie-type song for Easter. Practiced and finger tips got a bit sore - hard to play F chord, etc. but plowed through it! Had been thinking about getting a Zager easy play guitar, but still finding the money so I decided to try their strings first on my existing guitar to see if I could play without as much soreness.

It worked, three days straight now and playing the tougher chords with much more ease. Although I'm not a pro, I can certainly vouch for Zager's claim of easier to play strings! Also was impressed with their packaging - free cloth for your frets and free pick included! Great product!

When I received the guitar, I was thrilled with the sound, craftsmanship, and overall beauty of this instrument. I researched the Zager company for a long time before buying a guitar. I dug deep for any review I could find and may have even been skeptical about buying online, however, Zager has delivered on all of its promises. I am a beginner guitar player and needed something comfortable to play. I was attracted by the concept of "easy play" guitar and this guitar delivered on all of it's features! The strings are easy on the fingers and they are positioned low enough above the frets to make playing chords easier too. The size of the body (15% smaller than a full size), neck and spacing of the frets fits my petite build very nicely. My former guitar was comparable to the parlor size and I thought the change would take more time to get used to, but holding the guitar the first time felt comfortable and natural. Now, let's talk about sound. This model comes with a built in tuner and was easy to figure out without reading the directions. The first time I strummed this guitar I was pleasantly impressed! It has a full sound and resonates very nicely. After playing my first few songs, my chord changes felt better and matched with the sound of the guitar, made me very happy. (I have not tried the "electric" feature of the guitar because I don't have an amp yet). I also got several freebies from their giveaway contest including an embossed leather strap, picks, strings, capo, portable tuner, and membership to the guitar university. All I can say is wow. This guitar exceeded all my expectations. I just received it about an hour ago. The neck and action is just awesome. I own a Gibson j200 which I thought played like a dream until I picked up this guitar.

I've been searching for a new dreadnought guitar for quite some time... and the big brands like Gibson... Martin... Taylor are just priced out at a ballpark. And quite frankly after playing this guitar I'd have to say those major brands don't play as well.

I cannot believe the quality of this instrument and most of all the playability. It was almost half the price of those major brands and like I said... plays better than my Gibson...

I own a Zager EZ-PLAY50CE, and it has to be said, it is by far, without exception, the best and most playable acoustic guitar I have ever owned. It suffered a little neck damage last year, so I contacted the company for advice. During my correspondence, I found out that my guitar was one of the last guitars that Danny Zager senior built.
I am now in the process of purchasing more models of zager acoustics to replace others in my collection due to the remarkable playability and tonal excellence I have found in my 50ce.
The aftercare is wonderful and I rave about this company to everyone who likes guitars.

In my 40+ years of playing guitar, I have owned many exceptional brands, such as Taylor, Martin, Guild, Gibson, and even a handmade one by a local luthier. I also had the opportunity to play many guitars from my days of working guitar sales at a guitar store. My Zager ZAD50CE matches them all as one of the best guitars I have ever played. I've played guitar on and off for the last 10 years. I am a collector. I started off with acoustic and moved to solely electric when I was diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis at 22.
