I've been writing and performing original music for decades. Guitar tone draws the music out of me both on stage and in my living room. I don't buy guitars I can't test until now. I needed to replace my Martin with another high end instrument. The Martin had been damaged and the cost estimates for repair weren't good... and there were other issues with tone and electronics, but I digress. I did get to a couple of guitar shops before the pandemic locked us down, but just didn't fall in love with Martins and Taylors I played. The Fishman Aura went south shortly after I got the guitar and I had to mic the guitar for an impromptu gig. Mic-ed, I still got better sound than with my Martin. I've been playing guitar on and off since 1973. I had large hands even as a 13-year-old; when I'd raise my hand above my skinny 13-year-old wrist it looked like a Mickey Mouse glove. I've grown into the hands, but they're still a bit overlarge. I have to seek out XXXL gloves, and even some of those are tight. I'd always spend a lot of time browsing the music stores for guitars that would fit my fat fingers. Through trial and error I did end up with a couple acoustics over the years that came close, but never quite. I received my Zager ZAD50CE via Fedex yesterday. It had been shipped from their Las Vegas studio, so it spent some time moving across the desert. It had a teeny bit of buzz at the 7th and 8th frets. I had watched the video at the Zager website about what to do if this occurred, so a couple quick turns of the adjustment nut brought it into full and perfect playability. I spent the next hour or so familiarizing myself with it. It is definitely the most comfortable neck I've ever laid a left hand on! The sound is bright and clear, just as you'd expect from a brand new high quality guitar with brand new strings. I can tell this beauty is going to age gracefully! It plays like a dream.

Today I plugged it in to my old tube amp and had a go with the Fishman electronics. A little fussing with the controls and that guitar was projecting a full, rich acoustic sound from my 100W combo.

I'll still be taking the old Washburn to the beach and on camping trips, but my new Zager will go everywhere that I play in more guitar-friendly environments. I think I've found a lifetime friend!

Buying a guitar on line without trying it out can be a scary thing. However, after reading the ads about the Zager guitar and their 100% money back guaranteed, I decided to take a leap of faith. Boy am I glad I did! When I received my guitar in the mail, I couldn't believe how awesome it looked, the workmanship quality was outstanding. The question now was, would it play as easy as the ads said it would, and how good would the sound quality be.

I don't have enough adjectives to describe this sweet guitar. I own 3 other acoustics - all fine instruments. Whether it is the neck structure or the string quality on this Parlor Zager - it really is easier to play for longer. After first time practicing with it; I can say it fits me better than anything I've picked up. Beautiful deep earthy sound. The sustain lasts a few nanoseconds longer than my other guitars... it fades rather than drops. So chord changes sounds smoother. Very, very happy.

This guitar just the most exquisite piece of workmanship that I have ever encountered. The attention to detail is unbelievable and the love that went into this guitar exceeded my expectations. I received my Zager ZAD80CE OM Aura today. I must say this is a beautiful guitar. I'm still in the very early stages of learning to play, so I can't comment yet on playability, but hopefully my learning will progress faster now. What I do know already is the sound is incredible. I'll let my instructor give it a try next lesson to see what he thinks. I don't see a single flaw in it so it will not be going back.

Recently purchased the Zager ZAD50CE OM, because I wanted that 'crisp' sound of Spruce and Mahogany. I already own Martin's, Taylor's, Takamine, Gibson and Ovation and Guild guitars and I haven't looked at any of them since my Zager arrived. The Zager us a Beautiful great performing guitar.

Even though it's a little smaller than the size it still booms loud and clear. And the electrics work great.
The setup and intonation was dead on perfect.

I received my parlor-size African Mahogany guitar yesterday. It is a beautiful guitar, to begin with. And the sound from its 4/5 size is amazing. But the ease of playing it is truly the best part! My fingers are rather short and chunky, but still I am able to place them easily without hearing any buzz. I have been playing guitar for over 40 years, Not professionally but for fun. I have owned a number of high end guitars, Gibson, Guild, etc, I have played many others. I was looking for a smaller body acoustic and a friend had just got a Zager. I played it, it was a quality instrument, This started the research. I read everything I could find, all the reviews. I received my ZAD900CE 50th anniversary model, I am blown away with it's beautiful craftsmanship! I fell in love with the sunburst color from a picture. Well, the realty of the real thing, when I opened it up, got it unwrapped it was above my imagination. I held that baby, and have never felt a better feeling neck so smooth and the way it felt in my hand was surreal. As I tuned the instrument the mellow sound was awesome. I just received my parlor guitar and it is gorgeous! Zager has paid so much attention to all the details... the abalone inlay and pearl fret markers are particular favorites. The sound is wonderful - full and rich. I didn't personally work with Denny and Denny Jr., but my husband was so complimentary of their response and focus.
