I've been playing guitar almost 30 years.
I have played most of the low end acoustics and
Some high-end as well.
I took a chance with zager guitar company and I have no regrets.
It is true what they tell us about easy play.
Right out of the box you can play longer because the spacing really is wider between the strings and the action is set so it you don't get that "string bite" like they say.
The finishes on their guitars are quality.
The one thing though that really sets them apart from most is their customer service.
I owned my ZAD80CE for about 6 years and really enjoyed it. Then a couple weeks ago I noticed the bridge starting to pull away a little from the top. It can happen from time to time as they settle.
I contacted Dennis Jr. And he told me we'll take care of you. That was an understatement.
I really feel like Dennis and his family really have my back when it comes to being one of their customers.
After a few emails back and forth we decided on trading for two zad20's and they came in the mail within three days and I shipped the ZAD80CE back to them that day!
Now, the zad20 isn't a cut away like the ZAD80CE is... I was a little concerned about the low end on the zad20. As soon as I pulled each one out of their cases and played around with them my concern went away. They sound nice and bright but not too bright and the low end is SO good.
Zager guitar company has been an excellent guitar company to be a part of.

I recently purchased a Zager 900E full box. A special edition due to the electronics added to a full box. I am so impressed with the quality, sound and workmanship of these guitars that this is the SECOND one I've purchased within 6 months. The first one was the 50th anniversary Tobacco Sunburst. I treat and handle them like a fine piece of furniture because that's what they remind me of. You won't go wrong... plus their customer service is second to none! I'm left handed and playing and learning on a right handed Zager is like a dream come true to me. It has opened up a new dimension in life for me!... and now I have TWO!

I just received my ZAD900CE from ZAGER guitars and could not be more pleased. The guitar is beautiful and has a wonderful tone. I had requested that the setup take into consideration that I suffer from arthritis and a high setup is difficult to play for any length of time. Denny did a great job and the guitar does not need any additional setup at this time. Dennis Zager was quick to respond to my questions and the customer service is exceptional. It was a pleasure to deal with the company.

I got my guitar in today, it was an open box model but I would consider it brand new as I haven't yet found the blemish on the finish the Zagers indicated would be there. It came in BRAND NEW condition. So be aware, they are very honest with there "Sale" items on their website... Maybe even too honest.

The service with Dennis Jr. Was special for a guitar company and really just won't be found with any other online guitar store. And it compares with some of the best in store service from private music shops I've ever been shown. Guitar Center will not treat you this well. Email responses in minutes every time... I haven't seen anything like it from an online source.

Further, you aren't going to do better on price for a guitar. Currently there is a Taylor 614 on the shelf at my local guitar center for 1700 bucks... that guitar is not this. They don't have a guitar at either of the two guitar centers that sounds as nice as does this guitar. I played a Mahogany D-28 for like 7 or 8 thousand that wasn't even close. There is some brightness left to work itself out of the guitar, but it sounds better than the OMJM (john mayer OM) that on paper closely compares to this 900OM and costs just North of double.

Easy to play... this thing is gorgeous... Get one. I haven't played a 20,50, or 80... but I would wager that if those guitars are in your price range, you haven't heard one as nice at that price yet.

I'm almost 70, with mildly arthritic hands, and some trepidation about taking on guitar so late. My ZAD20 lives up to the "Easy Play" claim, and I'm feeling more confident each week. It's also a beautiful instrument, which adds to the enjoyment of playing. The craftsmanship is amazing! I In addition, their customer service is fantastic. They return messages promptly, and go out of their way to ensure that every aspect of your Zager experience is a positive one. With the extensive "Zager Learning Library" to help guide me, I look forward to years of enjoyment with my new Zager guitar.

Hello Denny and Dennis,
We drove in from Yosemite today and found my new guitar ZAD50-CE waiting for me.
WOW played a few cords, for an Hour & the wife said I sounded great, lmao cannot believe that!
Hey and its set to the green wood high action still and its easier to play than my DAD's old Yamaha!
I normally play in new standard tuning and will probably have to buy a few more of Your Dad's Family creations, Hopefully one for every tuning possibility!
I will more than likely drop the action to close the gap then I bet she is even easier to PLAY!

When you want the best in the business, do yourself a favor, pickup the phone, and call em. Talk to Henry (been playing for over 40 years) or Dennis Jr. They are knowledgeable and passionate about Music. Shouldn't you be when trying to decide what to buy. After ordering the EZ play Parlor Acoustic Guitar from Zager.com, I entered the contest for a free guitar. Wow, notified on a Thursday that I had won a new guitar in Zager's contest, and it arrived the following Tuesday! Great packaging so no damage. After removing it from packaging, I sat down with the tuner and it came into tune with little effort. I'm new to the Guitar (dabble in the Uke and Mandolin) but the strings were easier on my fingers than my other stringed instruments. Managed two cords and the sound is perfect! I had to give up playing acoustic guitar almost two years ago because I developed a carpal tunnel type issue in my fret hand. It got so bad I had to sell my Martin guitar. I just couldn't play it anymore.
Anyhow I found out about Zager guitars, and I decided to order one. I ordered the ZAD 900CE... I got it just two mdays ago, and it is really beautiful. I've been playing it nonstop since it arrived!... now this is literally the first time in two years that I've been able to play an acoustic guitar again!
And I tried out a lot of other guitars these past two years too: other Martin guitars, Guilds, Taylor's, you name it. I just couldn't find one I could play for more than ten minutes before my hand started hurting again... so here's the deal... if you've had some sort of trouble or pain playing an acoustic guitar, you should try out a Zager! I can tell you first hand this is the easiest playing acoustic guitar I've ever played. It's almost like playing an electric guitar! And it sounds great, especially with the Aura sound system...
Anyhow, I can't say enough about it. I can't believe I can actually play acoustic guitar again.

One other thing, Dennis Jr is really great to work with... he answered all my crazy questions, quick to respond and he was really kind and helpful. Thank you Dennis!

Seriously there should be 10 stars instead of 5.Of all the people I've had to deal with over the years ( been playing guitar since I was 16... so 51 years... and counting) the Zager experience has been the best of them all. And the crazy thing is I've never even met them in person. YET.
THey are so professional and helpful with even the most minor of questions and I can tll you that is a relief concidering some of the cold hearted salesman you run across at the bigger chains with massive overhead.
Dennis is making the easiest playing guitar I've ever held and they sound really great as well.
Am the proud owner now of a ZAD900-CE 6 string and also a ZAD900-CE 12 string. Both are tremendous sounding and easy playing. When I recieved both I immediately examined them and there is not a flaw in both sound quality and appearance.

I recently purchased a ZAD50CE Solid African Mahogany Acoustic Electric. I have had my Takamine for over 20 years and have always been happy with it, but when I compare it to my Zagar... there is just no comparison. This guitar is so much easier to play. Denny's years of hard work building guitars led to his "Easy Play" guitars. However, the joy doesn't end with the ease of play, on top of that, the sound is unmatched by any guitar I have played. Review of: ZAD900CE Solid Spruce/Rosewood Acoustic Electric AURA Smaller "OM" Size
I bought this guitar recently after some time trying to decide which to buy, with the great customer service help of Dennis, Jr. Via email. He was super helpful, fast to respond to all my enquiries, and never tired of my endless questions! So great customer service. And great return and warranty policies - they can't be beat, literally! How can you beat life-time and free shipping?

On to the guitar: when I opened the package when it arrived (in three short days!), first of all, I was stunned by the beauty. This is a work of art as well as a great guitar. The abalone and pearl inlays are gorgeous and I love the curly maple binding. As I began to play it, the sound was so fine, but I had some trouble with fingering barre chords. That was mostly because I've been accustomed to playing an acoustic guitar; electric guitars are generally easier in this regard. But it turned out it was also due to the set up: Dennis Jr. Pointed out that I needed to fine tune the truss rod to suit my style, which is a lighter touch, so I followed the video instructions he sent me to lower the action. That was fun to learn about as well as making it easier for me to get that darn barre chord!

Speaking of videos about the Zager guitars, they have done a great job of putting plenty of them online to make it easier to learn about the guitars design and sound.

Bottom line: I highly recommend Zager guitars

I just received my new Zager guitar. I think it's the travel not the parlor size. There's a FedEx story but all's well that end well, said Will. It came out of the carton nicely protected by bubble wrap. I cut it away and there was a very nice little guitar case. I opened it and there it was. My first new guitar. I fell in love just at the look of her. It took me at least 15 minutes to touch her. She's small and easier to play than any guitar I've ever had. My last two were large. I'd injured my left hand a couple years ago and couldn't manage them too well any more. But as this quarentine wore on, I realized I missed playing an acoustic guitar. I have a uke but it ain't the same. The Zager has got a lovely tone just the right size for my studio (apartment lol). And before winter comes and who knows with this covid, I am pleased to have a musical activity in which to immerse myself. My left hand needs work but after 2 days, it's getting a bit easier. One problem is the hand wants to hold it's mobile lol/notlol. I am really happy with my purchase and expect to enjoy it for many years to come. After all, I'm only 75.

I received my parlor guitar today.
It has far exceeded my expectations!
Primarily, customer service was great. Either you or someone from the company always responded to my emails with a positive tone and within a few minutes.
It was akin to dealing with an old friend.
The guitar is a thing of beauty. One can see that great care and craftsmanship went into building this instrument. It's as if it were a custom made for me.
My goal in purchasing this guitar was to have a small instrument that I could play while lazing on my recliner.
This guitar merits a whole lot more than what was my originally intended use.
This parlor is the most easy playing instrument I have ever used.
I wanted a solid wood mahogany guitar as a compliment to my full size rosewood guitar.
As for its' sound, it blows away the Martin 0015, (which I previously returned to Guitar Center).
This guitar has a big volume quality sound. It does not sound like a small guitar.
The Martin cost $1,300.00, my Zager cost $650.00 with free shipping and an excellent hard shell plastic lightweight case which includes a digital humidifier.
The Martin had a good wood case however it had the weight of a boat anchor.
The strings on my new Zager are great. I am partial to "Nano" (coated) "Elixers".
Your in house manufactured coated strings are just as good as the "Elixers " if not better.
You including in my purchase at no charge an extra set of strings and applying the pick guard for me was a nice touch.
Knowing that the owner of the company, Denny Zager applied the pickguard, inspected the instrument and set up my guitar shows
A unique dedication and pride in this beautiful guitar which is much lacking in presently produced instruments.
This guitar already excellent will only improve with time.
