I just received my Zager today and was completely blown away by the richness of the sound, the ease of play, and the beauty of this guitar. I've been playing / learning off and on on an Ibanez AE-18 for the last 15 years or so and decided to get a Zager after hearing about these guitars from my dad who also recently purchased as Zager. The guitar came stringed up and ready to play right out the case and is even more beautiful than the pictures on the website. The sound is full, rich, and has excellent sustain. I enjoyed playing my previous guitar but I doubt I'll ever touch it again. The Zager is in a completely different class; it's as if I just discovered HiFi audio after listening to nothing but MP3s for the last 15 years. The service and communication has been excellent. The case the guitar shipped in is very sturdy and high quality and also looks great. Thank you to Denny Zager and the Zager family for making this beautiful guitar for me! I look forward to a lifetime of playing and learning with it!

I'm no musician but did enjoy playing guitar many years ago. Sadly, I lost intrest because my guitar was so difficult to play and keep in tune. My Granchildren all picked up guitar and it piqued my intrest again. After a bit of research, I decided o a Zager ZAD50CE.
My guitar arrived today. FedEX on a Sunday! Inside the box was a solid case. Inside the case looks like I could climb in and snooze for a week. Beautifully lined with a stash pocket and a humidity meter.
That's not the amazing part. The guitar is a work of art. Fully stringed and in tune. It has a tuner built in. I immediately strummed a few chords I remembers and wow! It plays with almost no effort. Fills the room with perfect pitch sound.
I love it and look forward to learning to play again. Maybe my G-kids will let me join! Thanks Zager

My dad played guitar. I always wanted to learn. He always played "cheap" guitars. His advise to me was to "don't be cheap like me and get a Martin" I tried, after searching the web I saw how much a Martin cost and could not afford one. From the Martin search, I was directed to a guitar brand I had never heard of, ZAGER. I ended up buying a ZAD50ce/bk. That was 13 years ago. My dad passed and with a small inheritance I purchased a Martin D-35retro. It's "my dads guitar". Years have gone by. When it's time to pick up the guitar it is the ZAGER that gets taken out of its case.
The two guitars are different but I hold them on the same level. But I play the ZAGER much more. Playability and sound are not compromised. I have some hand issues with my left hand and it seems playing the ZAGER is a bit less work for my hand.
All things being equal, if I was starting all over again, I would not change a thing.
ZAGER is my first real guitar, and remains my favorite. My Martin will always be my fathers guitar and it spends more time in its case. I have since purchased a Parlor mahogany ZAGER. When it's time to buy my grandchildren guitars, ZAGER will be my first choice.

I was out shopping today and had some extra time to spend and I was by a Guitar Center Store, so I thought I'd check out a Taylor guitar. I asked if they had a Taylor in the store and he said yes, in the Acoustic room. I found a Taylor 314ce and a Taylor 414ce. One was $2,799 the other $2,899. So he unlocked the two for me and I played them for a while. I was amazed at how much better my Zager ZAD 80ce played and sounded. I've had my Zager now for a year and a half and I love it. Thanks Denny for the exceptional guitar at a great price.

I actually have a Zager ZAD50 Acoustic I'm reviewing. Im 53, kids are grown, forced to work at home, alone all the time. My 18 yr old daughter plays electric, very good, but I've tried her guitars, and her Martin Acoustic, many times, and it was just not comfortable, and painful after a while, years of doing everything myself I guess, my hands aren't what they used to be. Anyway, I ran across Zager because I have big hands, not "fat", I'm 5'10" and 165 lbs, but big strong hands, so did a search on guitars based on that. Saw someone's comment on Zager, researched them more, and bought a ZAD50. I'm 11 lessons in with my instructor, and am loving it. No more hand pain playing my daughter's guitars, and it just feels natural.

Back to the "sane" part, my daughter has 7 guitars, I tried each for a while, this is finally the one that I LOVE and play for hours, well practice and learn, every day. Keeps me off of Netflix, drinking, or worst ways to pass time alone. Definitely will buy a CE Model someday.

I was Blessed to play an Evangelist Zager at Church recently. All I can is WOW. I could not believe how easy it fretted and played, not counting the awesome sound it has. Good Lord willing I will be ordering one for myself soon. Truly Blessed I am. I just got my Zager 50 CE and I did not know what I was missing. I have owned Gibson and Martin. I still have my Taylor 310 CE but man this Zager out plays all of them. The quality, sound, price, I mean every thing is a new but awesome experience. If you have never played a Zager and get a chance, do so but, be ready to order you one after playing one because I promise you will fall in love with playing it. Also, I could not believe that the case actually has a humidifier built right in to it. I just can not say enough about my Zager. Rev. Orvil Painter

Zager guitar is true to its advertisement of it being a easy-play guitar. I can practice and pray longer now for sure.

Not only the guitar has the personal touches from the Zager father and son while it is being made, but their customer service also is full of understanding and being very supportive timely.

I have since purchased another of their Zager guitars for my son. The look on his face when he first played it is simply priceless.

What a Christmas gift that has arrived early for my son.

After much research, both online and in person I decided to purchase a Zager guitar. I went with their flagship model, the ZAD900CE. Here's what I wrote to Mr. Zager and staff.
I have just a few comments, most of which I suspect you've heard many times before.
1. The high degree of protective packaging you do for shipping is greatly appreciated.
2. The pictures and even the videos do not quite capture how beautiful the instrument looks. Wow.
3. It sounds great with a deep rich tone to it.
4. The case itself makes me feel like a professional musician.
5. Lastly, my main reason for purchasing a Zager was your promise of easy play. My first chord was the F and it rang out clear, something I could not do on my other acoustic guitar. Very happy.

I am a beginner on the guitar and have been at it for just short of a year. I had been playing a Martin D Jr until I received my Zad900 OM. The OM size is perfect for me, small hands and short arms. The first thing that hits you is the absolute beautiful workmanship. The finish, the rosewood and spruce and inlays are a piece of art. Most importantly though I found myself paying better in just a few minutes and the sound was so full and clean. I feel like my guitar playing is really advancing now after being stuck on a plateau for a few months. I can't wait to play for my instructor next week. He will be surprised. I feel so lucky to have such a beautiful instrument.

I don't generally post reviews but really felt compelled to after receiving my Zager guitar.

Right after I purchased my Zager guitar I was gifted a Martin from a dear friend. A very sweet little guitar. But what I find every time I go to play, is that I want to pick up the Zager far more than I want to pick up the Martin. The Zager just has a great sound and is so much easier to play.

I am so glad I came across your website and decided to try one of your guitars.

I have purchased 4 different Zager guitars over the past years. They make an outstanding product with a spectacular customer service to back everything up. Their easy play guitars have helped me play with a problematic left hand. I will continue to support this company. Keep up the good work.

I just bought another guitar from Zager. I have had a Martin and also now have a Taylor. They are very good guitars. Zager guitar has not disappointed me as to the sound and looks are excellent. It will get better with age too. I love the neck of the guitar how it feels in my hand and the sound is good on all the frets to the top.
