I scheduled an appointment with Your Mechanic to come out and replace the belts on my '02 mazda protege. Had to wait weeks for the appointment and when the day finally came, the mechanic gave us a call to ask a few questions. Come to find out, because we had a mechanic friend try to replace the belts prior to the appointment, we were completely DENIED SERVICE! This is so scummy and under handed in my opinion because they know they will lose customers if they told them this information when the appointment was scheduled! I will never call these people again. In fact, I'd scrap my car before calling them to work on it.
I've used this service several times now. Basically, they give you a quote online and the mechanic comes to your house or office to service your car. No more dropping off the car at a garage and being stranded without a ride for several hours.
Each time I've used the service, the mechanic has been super friendly and very knowledgeable. One time, he was able to fix my problem in a mere 15 minutes and I was able to get half the fee refunded to me. I've been impressed so far with their customer service and the costs have seemed very reasonable.
My husband used to fix our cars but has retired over the last few years. Luckily, he came across YourMechanic and we decided to try it out since it seemed very convenient. The website is quite easy to use and the prices were fair. Our first mechanic Dave was very thorough and our second mechanic Trung was very friendly. My husband approved both of their work!
Great company and great idea to have mechanics come to u and they are cheaper then most businesses I had a great personality hard worker named Ben fixed my car fast and didn't leave until I test drive it. I will definitely use this again
The mechanic comes to you and does awesome work! You make your appointment and he's there on time! No waiting in long lines or having to leave your car in a shop for hours or days! I would definitely use this service again and recommend it to my friends and family!
If i could give zero starts i would! I used this company last year with no problems. This time it was cancelations after cancellations. None of the customer service reps knew what was going on. Did know where the mechanics were. Saying i had a balance due when i paid the full balance. I don't know what happen from last year to this year but i will never go back
I had a scheduled appointment for 1st July which was cancelled as mechanic was unable to come. Had to reschedule and that mechanic also did not come Next appointment after 7 days. The company cancelled my appointment without any charge. Never go to this website.
"Excellent mechanic. Richard explained everything in detail and also gave me helpful advice. He replaced my EGR valve in less than an hour and because of him my car was able to pass emissions! I've been telling everyone all day about his wonderful service. I will definitely be using him again in the future."
Made an appointment to have my car diagnosed and repaired. Paid $150.00 for diagnosis. Mechanic provided the diagnosis. Quotes a $1500. 00 job to get my car running. Pay the $1500. 00. Mechanic tells me that my car is not repaired and I would have to pay an extra $500.00 to repair. Was not offered the $500.00 option to fix the car initially. They conveniently quote the $1500. 00 job first. Called to explain that this is not right. I paid the $1500 and they promised to get my car running. I asked them to at least refund the $150.00 diagnostic cost. Anything! The offered a $50.00 discount on the $500.00 job. Avoid this website. They have no control over the work of the mechanic and will not make any effort to correct the wrongs committed by the mechanics.
I booked an appointment for Red light flashing on the dashboard.
A mechanic came and replaced the oil pressure sensor without knowing the actual reason. When the problem not resolved then customer support is asking to reschedule a new appointment with new charges to investigate the real reason. This is really ridiculous... Its total a scam.
"Excellent job. They had given him the wrong part so he had to go to an auto store and get the right one. Very nice, friendly, and courteous. Did a great job fixing my vehicle and gave it a quick test drive afterwards. I would highly recommend him and this site to get your car needs."
"Paul arrived timely for our appt. He carried himself in a professional manner. He performed all agreed upon services as previously determined in a reasonable period of time leaving our vehicle clean and operational. I was pleased enough to schedule another appt with Paul to have additional work done later on this week."
It seems as though if the service performed does not completely correct the problem, there is simply no follow-up. After multiple attempts to get a mechanic back out to further investigate and correct the problem, the so-called "customer service" department completely refused to help me any further. After attempts to coordinate a scheduled follow-up appointment, I have been left abandoned and frustrated. In the many years that I have used the services of auto repair providers, I have never experienced such blatant disregard for customer satisfaction as YourMechanic has shown. I am profoundly dissatisfied and disappointed. I plan to file a formal complaint with the California State Bureau of Automotive Repairs. G. Facciani, Fresno, CA
I would give them. We pre-paid to have service done today on a faulty CV joint, and it was abruptly cancelled, and there isn't anyone else available for two damn weeks. Very poor folliow through, and it will probably take a week to get the money back. Don't trust this company- fly by night and very unhelpful.
Three appointments. Three no shows.
First had his app die a mile from house.
Second cancelled 30 minutes before.
Third never showed up and couldn't be reached by customer service.
Sounded like a great service and a good price. But done with them. I'll pay more and take it to the shop.
Xavier is a very thorough ang knowledgeable mechanic. I am extremely pleased with his report. He saved me thousands of dollars and hours of time by giving me his no nonsense vehicle report. Folks use this service! The more dealerships that are aware that you will have their vehicles inspected by yourmechanic the less likely they will be to try to push lemons down your throught. I ended up not purchasing the vehicle. Thanks Xavier!
I have one day off per week. Woke up early to be ready for the mechanic (David Hunter) but he never showed up for my 8:30am appointment. Lied and said the parts didn't make it after the parts had already been confirmed. Then says the parts will arrive at 11:30am that same day and he will be right over once he gets them, but he never showed up or responded to any calls or text. Very unprofessional and I'm extremely disappointed. My card has been charged by Your Mechanic for services that I haven't received or not a confirmation of when I'll be scheduled with a new mechanic. I've been back and fourth on the phone with customer service reps for two hours, because apparently no supervisors or members of management are available to speak with customers that are dealing with chaos created by their mechanic. Awful service!
One mechanic in the pompano area "jose" came to service my car today prepaid for the work. The mechanic showed up and procrastinated for over an hour. Told me he wasn't going to be able to do the work. And showed me another issue with the car that wasn't there prior to him showing up. This man sliced my hood sensor and cracked the radiator intentionally. I contacted the better business bureau about him. He deserves to lose his job. I have 2 witnesses to this act. And myself. Disgusting how people like this are even employed.
Today was my first experience with "Your Mechanic". Mechanic showed up on time as promised and performed the required repair as request. Kenneth was quick did an extra diagnostic for me because my check engine light was on and explained my problem at no extra cost. Pricing was fair and the convenience was great to have this done all in my drive way. Great way to go!
My mechanic was over an hour late. He text me prior, so fine whatever. He changed my back break pads and rotors. He dripped something all over my driveway, that won't come out. That's fine. You're working outside of a garage, it happens. What's not fine is that my tire pressure light, traction control light, and antilock breaks lights were all on when he finished. None were on prior. I tried contacting customer service. They responded to one email and ignored the other 5 I sent. I tried contacting the mechanic from the number he text me on and never got a reply. I had to take my car into a shop. Come to find out there wasnt enough brake fluid and a sensor was broken. What i "saved" using this company, i spent fixing their mess. Not worth it.
Answer: Don't do it. They have scam written all over them. Was told different prices from different people within days of eachother
Answer: Good call. They're not touching anything of mine ever again!
