Police Auction.com They lead you to believe that they are an official "police auction". Showing other items like cars etc. However, It is a total ripoff. Everything is Fake. They add things to their site to try to make it look legitimate, but it isn't! Please don't spend your money here. You will get total junk and be so upset. Plus, they will keep charging your account 7.95 a month for Police auction. Even after a refund of one month, they continue to charge you. This leads to dragging on longer for you, as you have to engage with them to get them to stop charging you. A real pain in the A**
I purchased emerald, Ruby and sapphire - Every single precious stone that I purchased through this site was determined to be fake by a jeweler review
I bought a gold bracelet- is so thin it is finer than my cat's whisker. This was way overpriced and does not fit my wrist as ridiculously large- says on the packaging that it is a necklace- wouldn't even fit a baby if so.
Jewellery is much smaller than pictured. Also original values are wrong. Example: bid on 16" 10k solid gold (10k is not completely all gold it has a small amount of other elements in it) true gold starts at 14k gold. On the site it showed a value of $4000. Would you pay $4000 for a 16" 10k gold necklace? Very deceiving. You can bid on it and most time I see them sell for between 300-400 dollars, for which you can buy is a local jewellery store or online like Kijiji.
I won a watch. I was thinking this was from a real police auction. I was wrong. This watch came with buttons that didn't move because they were fake. The only one that did move feels very cheap and flimsy. I give this watch 3 months at best. Stay away
I would give PoliceAuctions.com a 5-star rating if I did not have to do so much research on each interesting jewelry piece; so, I downgrade to a 4-star due to the extensive homework I do prior to bidding.
After reading the horrible reviews on third-party sites, most of the poor experiences could be alleviated with time and effort on the bidders. In essence, I don't know why folks are complaining about this site when they can do research on most of the pieces prior to bidding on them. For each piece I bid on, I do a photo search online for the exact visual and description of each item. If I don't find the exact piece, I don't bid or use caution, keeping my bids low, if I want to take a chance. Each item has a detailed description and a photo, which are searchable on the web. In doing so, most MSRP or suggested prices are available for the same cut, clarity, style, materials, and metals. Buyer beware as in anything sight unseen...to a point. None of the pieces I had bid upon, won, and received have been disappointing. I do laugh at some of the bidding wars levied on jewelry worth a fraction of what folks paid. The marked-out price for the items is a bait and switch, but if you do your due diligence, nothing should be a surprise. As the sayings go: "buyer beware" and "if it is too good to be true, chances are it is."
My purchases of music memorabilia are all positive, however, I am beginning to wonder if these liens are what they say they are - limited editions. There seems to be many of the same items come up considering that there are only 500 of many of these items produced. Are these items mass produced in China and virtually worthless. I would like to know the truth.
Buyer beware, they are falsely advertising their jewelry as being real and it is all fake costume jewelry. I won several bids and they said it had to be paid right away. Unfortunately I got caught up in it. Right after I paid for this jewelry it was brought to my attention that it was a scam and a whole bunch of bad reviews and complaints. I immediately informed them I didn't want this jewelry and I wanted my payment reversed. This was within 15 minutes of me paying for it. You can't get hold of anyone on the phone. They messaged me saying they couldn't do that and I could return the items once I got them. Catch is after I submitted a return they informed me they will not refund me shipping fees. You loose out on the $14.95 shipping fees. And it didn't cost them $14.95 to ship these little boxes.
This site must be fake, the app is a scam, the ring that I bought is just a dress ring And not even sterling silver let alone white gold. I'm just glad I didn't waste too much money on it. Do not buy anything off this website the jewellery doesn't even have any hallmarks. SCAM!
I new it was a scam. This has happened to me last year with those viral realistic puppy toys! I invested alot of money in them, different companies,I thought. But I recieved10$store stuffies for my $500. Don't trust ads until you check if scammers!
I spent $1,400 on a bunch of junk I'm going to go tab the gems I bought tested on Friday and if they're fake somebody please hugs and go give her money back All that stuff is faking is junk I already had the Jewelry tested it's all junk which you can buy in the store for like $19.99
Before anyone purchases from this website, should check and consider if it is a possible scam. The items you buy are real, however, the quality is questioned. You don't really find a real 14,18 k gold, etc. everything silver. Hmmm. Possibility these items a in-house productions and scam you out.
Jewelry are all silver, very simple designs and very expensive shipping, they do not combine shipping, a rip off.
I was betting on a silver dollar. My bid was at $41, max bid set at $50. Hours later I looked back and now my bid was at $211 and what scared me was my max bid now was at $1580. So I wrote support and told them something was wrong and explained. So they told me they adjusted my max bid to $211. I wrote them back and said even if I win it at $211, I was NOT paying for item because I did not bid that, but only bid $40. So because I said that, they were either forcing me to pay the $21 or cancel my account and they canceled my account. They are crooks, they knew something wrong happened on their end, and instead of addressing it, they rather cancel your account than admit the error was on their end. They are shady
Received jewelry item broken, had to pay them $15 shipping plus another $5+ shipping to return it. I'm out $20 and they can send broken item to the next victim.
I bought some raw gemstones from them that were supposed to be genuine. They turned out to be dyed quartz! When I confronted them about it, they doubled down and called me a liar! DO NOT buy anything from them!
I bought an item (a watch) and I was asked for my credit card information. Once they had that information, I got automatically charged. I was not happy with the astronomical charge of the postage which was over twice of the amount I paid fr the item. I immediately cancelled the transaction on their site and I was told that the item would be re-auctioned. To my surprise the next day I got a confirmation E mail that the item was to be shipped to me! Thus followed multiple communications with the auction staff through their site. The communication was not with a staff in person. They told me to send the item back but I had to pay for the return postage back! Customer Support Ticket #*******. I refuse to pay the postage as I do not trust them anymore and I do not want to lose more money. I feel swindled by an organization that is supposed to be a law organization (why else call themselves police auctions?). The have forced me to pay for an item. I feel swindled. I would never ever buy anything from again. Horrible experience. Beware!
I have made about 12 purchases from policeauctions.com. The silver and gold is NON-MAGNETIC. Gemstones are not transparent, like GLASS. I used a coin magnifier. Items in person, look gorgeous. My opinion the jewelry is real.
Police auction Sells goods and charges a ton of money for shipping.
Be careful of the fine print. I saw things that were just not professional and not right. I had for many years having police auction contracts or sheriff contracts or FBI Contracts, or GSA Goverment contracts and its not like this...
Beware of this site, it's junk jewelry only worth about 10% of what they sell.
Beware Beware Beware
Answer: No. Don't waste your money on this fraudelent site.
Answer: I'm reading terrible reviews where people are saying they had jewelry appraised and they are worthless. When you say something is fold or diamonds is that true because I'll send all 7 of my items back if not. You can't deceive or lie to people.
Answer: No you are not getting what you think. They are fake jewelry send back
Answer: Shipping is not free. It has cost somewhere around $9 to ship items but my items were small. The bigger they are, the more expensive the shipping cost.
