I've had problems with my internet for a few weeks. I've called 2 times and chatted with a live agent 3 times before finally getting an appointment for tech to come to my house between 8am-11am. At 11 I called and they said he'd be here by noon. At 1:45 they said within 30 minutes. Finally at 2:25 I canceled the appointment. Spent over 6 hours of my Sunday off waiting for nothing. Was told no credit or compensation for my internet problems or my time wasted waiting all day. Rescheduled someone to come Wed. I won't hold my breathe on them showing up that day either... what a joke!
From day 1 we have had issues. Tech installed it. Tech didn't do it right. Called another tech. New Tech didn't know why it wasn't working. Called another tech. New tech didn't know what was wrong. I got a bill a month later for over $200! We were told installation was free, not they charged it. Every time a tech came out they charged us $50! They said we call the tech. We didn't. Their techs called them to come out! They finally removed the charges and service still sucks. Every month it shows on the bill my account is overdue. The balance is ZERO because it is NOT OVERDUE! I have NEVER missed a payment. They turned off our service because of their error! HORRIBLE COMPANY.
My Mom lives in a senior facility and depends on her TV. She has had nothing but TROUBLE with WOW since day one. We upgraded her TV package today and it's still not working and I've been on hold for over 45 minutes now. My siblings and I are very unhappy with WOW which seems to be the only option for this senior facility. It really sucks...
I have been fighting with WOW for over a year regarding my internet speed and have never had my issue resolved. I wouldn't recommend them for business or residential use. I have had better service with xfinity.
I just spent 45 minutes trying to get new service. I spoke to 3 different people and they wanted to transfer me to a four. None of these people could help me, it was always the wrong department. All I wanted was new service at my new address. No one could explain what the problem was they just couldn't help. So I still have no service. The phone # I looked up for customer service wasn't even the correct number.
Literallly waited an hour to talk to support that could not help BEWARE! I do not know why I keep dealing with them. They suck so bad... If I did not hate spectrum so much I would go to them
We use WOW for our business. To sum things up first, do not even consider it. We've had many outages a day for months on end with multiple tech visits we were billed for despite no resolution. They've swapped out the modem from the original twice now and the most recent swap was to an "upgraded" modem which has no wireless network capabilities. It's been less than 24 hours and our hard wired devices have not seemed to have lost internet yet but we have no wireless network in our office. We were not asked if it would be okay to only have hard wire options it was just thrust upon us as an attempt to find a solution to our never ending issues with this ISP. Specifically, the upgraded model they provided is an ARRIS TM804, the one that cost $40 new and $15 used.
OK, WOW is no different than any other cable service provider - they know the shell game really well, so they don't really care once you're a customer. They are currently charging me $45 per month, while providing me a whopping 65mbps service, even though their third tier service is $29.99 for 100mbps! And for $49.99 per month I could have 500mbps! When I called to ask about our crappy service, their response was - you have a contract. I said, "So, you're encouraging me to switch service providers - there's nothing you can do?" Their response, "You have a contract. Thank you for trusting WOW." Keep in mind my contract ends in a month... Oh, and I have been with WOW for for over 25 years. They're so focused on the shell game, they place no value on existing cuatomers.
I applied for emergency Broadband assistance on May 19. WOW customer service rep was given ID# and informed me application was approved and beginning next bill I would receive a $50 credit. This never occurred. Instead WOW billed me, informed me upon my call to them I was not enrolled and stated I hung up on the call. WOW never called me even though they had my number that I was not enrolled. They then wanted the ID# I provided them 3 weeks ago which they had in their screen. I terminated service and will file complaint to the Florida PUC. I have basically been denied a limited benefit I qualified for due to WOW incompetence.
Sorry but I really hate these people. I hate them because they lied to me and they waste of my time. My time is valuable. Just as valuable as theirs. I called wow to disconnect my cable but retain my Internet. I was told this would be no problem they would switch off the cable and I would not need to do anything and I would not need a service person to visit. Two days later I received a box with some new equipment. I did nothing with it. I shouldn't have to …they told me I didn't need to …and the Internet was working just fine. The cable tv was disconnected but internet continued as before. Then I received a notification that I was going to be billed if I didn't send back the old equipment. So… I disconnected the old and installed the new exactly as before.
And nothing worked. I called them, and some robotic Philipino walked me through everything they could …and still I was without Internet. They told me I was going to need to have a service tech come out. … I told them wait… I disconnected the new devices. I reconnected the old equipment and everything worked again. I am now sending them back the new and unnecessary equipment. And I will begin immediately to look for a new Internet provider. I just wasted three hours of my time for nothing. The people at WOW are idiots or liars or both.
We had WOW internet so last 7 years. Last years 2021 many days, we didn't have internet, and we call, they said outrageous in the area, we keep letting it go, in the hope it will get better. This year 2022 for two weekends we didn't have internet for few hours. We saw wow technician in our building and we didn't question him and our internet was discounted for one week without any explanation. We had to wait for technician to come and after he connected internet we still couldn't get on internet. Told us we have to wait one more week for technician to come. We were on phone every single day to figure out what happened to our internet. Lots of time and energy waisted. We decided it's time to end WOW service. Disappointing internet and service.
DO NOT Subscribe to WOWWAY Internet. Their 100mbps is a LIE. I tracked it at 10mbps or less at times.
I was on their internet for one year and paying $19.99 a month. Then they raised it to $24.99 a month. They just raised it to $44.99 a month and when I cancelled to go back to another provider, they are charging me on what they said was a 2 year contract when they advertise "NO CONTRACTS." That charge is $180.00!
Stay away from WOWWAY!
WOW was the only cable company available for the Assisted Living where my Dad lived until his death. I have had to fight with them on many occasions because their service was so spotty and bad. Now he has passed away and I have been requesting a box to mail their equipment back to them for months. They say the box is coming then it doesn't come. On the 3rd attempt I thought it was definitely coming. I left for vacation and expected to come back to a box. Instead I came back to discover they have charged the estate account for the cost of the equipment. I am furious. They say again they are going to send me the box but now they cannot do a refund the money until they get the equipment. I don't have a lot of confidence. They did suggest I take the equipment to a drop box that is 30 miles away and I would not get a receipt because they have closed the office by the drop box. I'm looking into small claims court. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.; THEY ARE TERRIBLE
Paying for up to 200 Mbps but actual speed using WOW speed test is 6.85 Mbps download and upload speed is 9.32 Mbps. Wow technician came out said it wasn't WOW and it must be my equipment. Bought and installed highly rated modem and router, still slow speeds.
Horrible I'm paying for 500 go speed I'm only getting 120 if I'm lucky cable is terrible don't even have movie channels and I'm paying close to 300 dollars a month bull$#*! Their equipment is constantly breaking and they won't replace their technicians don't know what their doing have the time I got all the movie channels and sports channels and Dvr way cheaper than I'm paying now from other providers not to mention when I call their customer service people are very rude
Wow! Cable is by far the WORST Cable provider in America. I have lived in, MN, AZ, and Michigan and had three different providers and would HIGHLY recommend you NEVER get Wow! Cable. It's very expensive and not a week goes by where I don't have a problem. They should be ashamed of themselves. They also never offer refunds for their WORTHLESS product.
The signal for TV and often Internet is always getting "LOST" and you constantly have to reboot the system. NEVER SHOW UP FOR SERVICE. Customer service is a bunch of Indian Scammers who can't speak English or any other known language and they WILL NOT give you a supervisor. Monthly bill KEEPS GOING UP FOR NO KNOWN REASON. GARBAGE!
Waited 45 min. Before I gave up trying to find out if the storm downed my internet service. Customer service is terrible even if your lucky enough to talk with someone their english is terrible.
Bad company, horrible service, non-English speaking customer service, delivering only 50% of the 1 gig speed I ordered, moreover, I got taken for a ride twice, on Friday, August 27,2021 a service technician DID NOT SHOW UP for an appointment at my house, I called, waited an hour before anyone picked up, no reason given - appointment got rescheduled for today, August 30,2021, the same story again, NO ONE SHOWN UP for the appointment, I called wowway again, waited another hour just to be told that the dispatch is closed for the day and the technician is nowhere to be found. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM WOWWAY CABLE UNLESS YOU WANT LOUSY NON-ENGLISH SPEAKING CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TECHNICIANS THAT NEVER SHOW UP FOR APPOINTMENTS! WOWWAY DESERVES "ZERO" STARS, ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE PEOPLE TO DO BUSINESS WITH.
If I could offer less than a one start, I would. I was called by a WOW rep when my current bundle was coming to an end. I appreciated the fact, as no other company has done that before. The conversation with the rep ended with me being told I was getting new, upgraded equipment, and at a lower cost. Imagine my shock when I opened my bill. It was doubled.
I called WOW this morning to figure this all out, and was told by 'Andy' (not his fault, he just works there) that no one should have told me that this new and improved 'bundle' was going to be cheaper. I explained that my internet was now substandard to what I had before, and he said it was because my new and improved cable reception was pulling away from the Wi-Fi, making it slow. I was offered an upgrade on the Wi-Fi at an additional cost per month. Seriously?
Then, when telling him that I wanted the cheaper package that I was sold, he said that if I wanted to spend less money, I could cancel my cable, and just use streaming services. Really?
So when I told him that none of his options were suitable, I was told that I could explore other outside options, his competitors. I will be taking him up on this option.
Answer: Well, before you do, you should look up how to connect the device your using to view Netflix and how to set it up with Internet for that. Once that's done and, if you already have a Netflix account, it should be easy to go to the netflix application and put in your username and password.
