I had been writing 3 emails in the last month for returning 2 books. Nobody contact with me, didn't receive an answer, what should I do?

Horrible customer service. Bought book in the past listed as "very good" and it was so I ordered this book listed as same. Book creased and dirty. Trying to get a refund is a nightmare. Will NEVER order from them again. Will stick with Thrift Books. Always ready to help.

Ordered two books. One for dad, (the most important, as a dementia patient is hard to buy for) and one for my daughter.
Neither came. Instead, I received someone else's' order.
Only a bot can help you (or not as the case is) when you file a complaint. It gets passed on to the higher ups. Eventually
Meanwhile, I have a book I do not want and some other poor sod is missing it.

This company sent me an email stating the book I ordered was damaged in-transit and returned to them. I've worked in shipping and receiving, and shipping companies still send damaged goods to the recipient regardless of how much they're damaged. I was then told the book I ordered was out of stock, so I double checked and they never shipped my order in the first place. Additionally, their website shows that they have two copies of the book I ordered in-stock, but they've now raised the price. I brought this to the attention of "Sarah, the Customer Service Advisor", as I await a full refund of my purchase. Will dispute the charges and issue a charge back if my card is not refunded in the 48 hour time frame they claimed.

I came across world of books at the start of the pandemic when I wanted to start reading more as I haven't done much since being a kid. So amazed by the large range of books available and absolutely love that they are pre loved! Due to the pandemic my first order was delayed, through no fault of anyone, World of Books were super honest and emailed me to keep me updated with the order. I have since ordered and am impressed by the swift delivery. Will continue to order and recommend.

Purchased 8 children's books from them listed as "very good" condition to save a few dollars off listing price. Of the 8 books, only 2 were actually as listed, the other 6 ranged in condition from good to well-worn! A couple were ex-library books with binding falling apart, most had food stains or ripped pages. Condition was terrible.
Only form of customer service is an automated bot which collects your information and tells you to wait 2 days for a response. I waited over 8 days for any help! After I provided pictures of condition and requested a return, another week of silence. A customer service representative said they would process a return, but I'm still waiting! Ridiculous company. Spend your money elsewhere, better deals are out there. I'm now going to file a claim with PayPal but that too will take another month to process. Avoid this company at all costs.

There bad reviews are well deserved. Ordered a book through them on ebay. They provided a tracking number but a month later and it still only says "tracking number provided". Six emails over the last two weeks went unanswered. Took disputing charge with my credit card company and unsurprisingly the disputes dept was even familiar with this seller's fraudulent and deceptive practices

Every book I have ordered from WOB has arrived promptly and been exactly as described I'd not better. The range is increasingly wide. It's rapidly becoming my go to site for second hand copies which allows me to be part of recycling books! They are also suitably packaged and after over a dozen books I've not had one that was damaged in transit. Highly recommended.

Scammers! Offer inexpensive DVDs, but then do not send them (after 5 weeks still no goods). Then claim to have heard the goods have been heard twice. Total lie, I'm home every day because of the lockdown and everyone else is arriving! Now you are offering your rights DVD for the 3-fold rights and you want to pay me back my money!

So I ordered 2 books.
One they didn't bother to send out, the other which was suppose to be 'good' condition arrived covered in dirt, the pages stained, ripped bent and honestly a joke condition. It also came with a sticker that said £1 on it…. So blatant rip off to charge me £6
Asked for a refund and they only sent half back. Absolutely disgusted. Email customer service and they either don't answer or answer something you didn't even ask.
Never again.

Had trawled through loads of sites looking for a particular book for my sister when I stumbled across this fantastic site that held numerous from this particular author. Arrived in great condition and faster than stated. Definitely use again.

Search results are inconsistent (title/author search doesn't always work), customer service poor, books listed a lot of the time in better condition than what is received & when brought to the attention of staff (after close to a week of not having an email or emails answered) you are essentially given 2 options: 20% refund (in their words, 'as a gesture of goodwill') or return the item (at your own cost & high cost of postage) to receive a 'full' refund.
I steer clear now based on all of the above. Prices were once good & quality fairly consistent but now it appears staff wash their hands of taking responsibility of items falsely advertised in a certain condition.
Not good & disappointing considering this site WAS quite good overall.
You're not a 'valued' customer as i've found so buyer beware...

Do not trust this vendor! Books are described as in very good or excellent conditions and delivered kind of shattered. They offer replacements but not refunds, plus they entrust a super scam shipping company which most of times loses parcels.
Have bought many pre-owned DVDs from Wob, and they've always been in great condition. The last set I purchased was still sealed as new! DVDs are often cheaper on their eBay listings, rather than their own website, but their recent 20% off promotion online sometimes worked out cheaper, so always worth checking. Delivery times have become much quicker lately, so you won't have long to wait for your items! All in all great!

Wob has provided me with pre-used copies of the entire Agatha Raisin cosy crime series. The books have been cheap to buy, but in good condition. They have been delivered promptly after being ordered, each batch wrapped in a plastic bag. The administrative staff proved efficient and helpful, when I made a mistake in the delivery address, so that all the packages arrived as ordered. Wob is now my first port of call for second-hand books.
