Tried to buy from them on ebay. Got a tracking number that doesn't work with DHL, the supposed shipping partner. USPS says some kind of partner has the package...but it's being sent all over the country...but not to USPS. Ordered 3 weeks ago...and it's still in limbo. Contact the company and I get computer generated runaround. Avoid this company!
Not compliant with the services, but the packaging was bad. Most of my orders were either dented or damaged due to knocks and handing in shipments. Hope you can have more packaging protection on the books. I am reluctant to buy new books from your company.

Bought a book that has been out of print for over 15 years. Was rated "Like New". Received after 2 weeks with international shipping which is an ok time for delivery, not amazing but acceptable. No tracking number was provided. Book was shipped in a plastic wrap, resulting in a few dents and bruises on the cover. Rest of the book was in good condition and as described, even smelled like new (that ink smell when you open a book for the first time) when going through the pages. Condition of the cover of the book could have been much better preserved if shipped in a box, not a plastic wrap. However given the price paid I am very happy with the overall book condition. Support was very responsive and friendly when asking about the shipping status through Messenger. Had to pay no import fees as expected.

Edit: After many emails, back and forth they honoured their special offer. It's heartening to think that they will have a dialogue with a (persistent) disgruntled customer and not just ignore them - which has led to me revising my one-star review into a 4-star one. I really wish that they would listen properly to the original complaint and not just brush it off.

So often there is no summary for a book and certainly we are never informed if the book contains illustrations, such basic stuff. Secondly they make themselves unavailable by telephone so if there is a problem you can't get satisfaction as many emails seem to be ignored or a very slow response.
I have bought hundreds of books from them but it should not be like this!
No proof of purchase? Just look me up there are hundreds.

The bulk discounts help with costs and the service is efficient. I only recently had occasion to question the grading of an item which was sorted without any quibble so I'm happy to continue my patronage.

I've used. WOB and it's usually great. However, my last order went very badly. It came later than expected and it was the wrong order. I've sent two emails and 10 days later I am still waiting for a response. I needed those books for 4 days ago and I still haven't got them. There is just no way you can talk to anyone directly or even message directly. It is most frustrating. I've I haven't heard from them in 48 hours I shall just cancel the payment through my credit card.

For the first time I was disappointed with World of Books. The four books I purchased were all described as being in "very good" condition but one was definitely only OK at best. The customer service took a while to respond to a query and failed completely to respond to a follow-up question having answered (to their satisfaction, not mine) the original question. World of Books is great value and a generally excellent service, hence my disappointment on this occasion.

Great service from this company; fast delivery, good choice, especially of books long discarded by general libraries. I love American mysteries, am devouring recently discovered Southern Sisters books by the late Anne George and loving them. Unable to access through my library. See title. No problems. Delivery always prompt. All my orders have been for second hand books and all have looked good as new. Have received hardback copies a couple of times when expecting a paperback. I probably didn't read the small print but it would be nice if it was more obvious.

We bought this CD from world of books at a price much kinder on my wallet rather than buy new from a major online retailer. No skipping, scratches or issues playing on our laptops.
The CDs arrived within the specified timeframe as advertised online and were well packaged.

I have done multiple orders with world of books and so far everything in good condition. Some books are in better condition than others but as long as there are no missing pages I'm totally okay with that. The order has arrived on the date estimated, in a matter of 2/3 days. I really like this website since it gives me the opportunity to read books I for a low price.

Not a good experience with World of Books! I have received 2 duplicate orders as I thought the first order was cancelled. It would be far better to have customer service on the phone rather than a chat bot which is not easy and that is how problems arise. I have received 2 books which should be in very good condition, one was covered in writing across several pages and another had a cover that was coming completely away from the spine. I have now been offered a replacement of the 2 books which are due to be dispatched soon. However I will then end up with 3 copies of the 2 books, I would like a refund, but yet again trying to contact customer service in time is probably impossible. A phone number is essential to avoid these problems.

Upon ordering, the estimated time was 10-14 days. They don't bother to say they can take up to 14 days before that to even process your order. We literally waited all of those days for my son to receive the wrong game in the wrong case! Considering this was one of his birthday presents, he's very disappointed and I'm very angry for wasting time and money! Then the only customer service you can get is a bot and you have to wait for up to 2 more days for an actual response from the company. If I could give it a zero I would!

I can always find what I am looking for. Their selection is vast. Prices are good, all products are in a decent condition, and always match the condition described. Buying second hand saves a lot of money. The dispatch and delivery of good is always fast. I have not experienced a problem so far, everything, has been easy with this company.
