To be honest I tend to buy new books by default, and if possible I'll buy them from a local bookshop. It was only when I was looking for out of print books for a relative, and trying to find a source that was not Amazon (or part of the Amazon behemoth) that I found Wob. It's fantastic, and has now become part of my go-to places to buy books.

A disc of a rare dvd boxset was defective. The playing side of the disc was partially brown. I photographed it as proof. The matter was dealt with. I was given a choice of choosing a replacement item to the same value or a full refund. I am happy with the outcome. This company do care about their customers and everything else I've purchased from them has been fine

I recently ordered the new Jane Harper book Hitze Ref WGB-*******3176 only the find on receipt that is written in German. Your catalogue does not identify that it is written in a foreign language. It is no good to me as I don't speak German?

I wanted a copy of "The East Highland Way" by Kevin Langan but you can't get a new copy for love nor money and it's out of print. Quite by chance I saw a second hand copy being advertised by WoB "in good condition". New, it cost £9.99. The copy being advertised by WoB was also priced at £9.99. I didn't have a problem with that especially after it arrived (very quickly I might add) because it is, indeed, in good condition. However, I was a bit miffed because it arrived with a label stuck on the back that reads "Oxfam £2.99". Such should, in my opinion, have been removed before packaging and posting. Hence 4 stars rather than 5.

The Encyclopedia of Biblical Prophesy arrived several days early, was packaged really well, and met the description given on your website. Delivery was by Royal Mail and considering the traffic congestion on our street at the moment with building work and people moving in and out they deserve a resounding thank you as well.

Huge huge variety & stock of books both new, as new, secondhand etc. Prices are fantastic. I will keep using this website as my go to site if I need a book for me, family, friends until it stops trading or I take my last breath. Have lost count how many times I've used it. Delivery is quick unless it's a rare or American book, so that might delay slightly but overall delivery & price are excellent. Keep up this fantastic work World of Books.

Very disappointed with my whole experience.
I purchased 13 of the same book all stated to be in very good condition. When they arrived 4 of the 13 books very not in very good condition for example, one had pen scribbled all over the front cover, another had a stab mark in the front cover. I reached out to customer support to explain the books were damaged, they said they will refund me for 4 books. However I have had to buy 13 different books so I could give them to my class in time and don't want any of my order so require a full refund. I am happy to return all the books as per their terms and conditions and expect them to pay for postage as it was their error they sent me 4 books in bad condition as per their terms and conditions however they refuse.
Very disappointed in the end product and appalling customer service.
