Was disappointed in the book, ive bought from here before without any problems, but this book was in poor condition, the pages were yellow old looking, and some pages in the middle of the book were coming away from the binding, so overall not good so not to happy, i had bought as a present for my grieving friend who wants to read into afterlife so she can try to make sense of where her dear dad will be on the other side, so im not very pleased this time with my order.

WOB took an order saying it was in stock. Sat on it for 2 weeks without contacting me. When I emailed them to find out where it was they said they hadn't done anything about it and had no way of doing so. Messed up Birthday present. Not clever.

Resourcing and recycling should be paramount given the current problems so top marks on that one, WOB! I have never had a problem with delivery, price and quality - aside from the overuse of markings by zealous students! Otherwise, a top company for book purchasing.

Been a regular customer of WoB for sometime now, never disappointed. Was after a book on the SR71 Blackbird, and picked up a second on the Skunk works, both great price and in excellent condition. My go to first port of call, and so far need not look elsewhere as they have delivered every time. We'll done guys

On the back of a recent successful purchase, I bravely placed another order. 9 CDs were all rated "Very Good". 6 out of 9 were unacceptable with missing parts, surface scratches, cracked and chipped jewel cases, broken hinges and dirt. Quality control is rubbish. Customer support is rubbish. By the way, they are "Heroes" now. No one cares at this company. I am sure that a Hero will reply with the usual useless platitudes. They appear unembarrassable! Maybe another request for a photo of the missing item, Doh!

Ordered music off the site and I never received the order nor a confirmation that the order had arrived. Contacted customer support and they referred me to post office. Not at all helpful or caring, and they lost me as a customer, and still no refund given.

I always return to Workd of Books when I'm looking for another read. I can't fault the company. Secondhand books at great prices and free postage and a company with great values. What's not to like?
I'll never pay full price for a brand-new book again. I love the idea that other people's reads are being repurposed and someone else getting a go. Makes so much sense in these stretched times to buy second hand. A very efficient mailing system too so never long to wait for that desperate to get your hands on,book to arrive. Love it!

I like a physical source of media. It may be old fashioned but I wanted to buy some DVDs and CDs that I had years ago but had let go. I can honestly say I was really happy with my WOB purchases. All the discs were in excellent condition and the liner notes etc. I even bought some new replacement cases for them and now they look brand new. The 20% offer brought the price down further so really good value. Packaging is good and delivery time is excellent. I would recommend WOB and will definitely be buying again myself.

I wanted a copy of "The East Highland Way" by Kevin Langan but you can't get a new copy for love nor money and it's out of print. Quite by chance I saw a second hand copy being advertised by WoB "in good condition". New, it cost £9.99. The copy being advertised by WoB was also priced at £9.99. I didn't have a problem with that especially after it arrived (very quickly I might add) because it is, indeed, in good condition. However, I was a bit miffed because it arrived with a label stuck on the back that reads "Oxfam £2.99". Such should, in my opinion, have been removed before packaging and posting. Hence 4 stars rather than 5.

I have been ordering books from Wob for a few years now and they are always in the described condition. There is an ever increasing range of categories to choose from.
My only gripe is with the postage which is often between 5-8 days from order.

Ordered a GCSE modern world history textbook through wob.com. The problem started when there was no option for tracked shipping for my order as it was international. The timeframe was given as 21 days in which it has now been a month and it still has not arrived. Now realize that my order failed the quality control test and was never shipped. I did not receive any other updates on my email about my order than it was on its way. Had a chat to the agent on Facebook messenger in which they sent me a NZ post tracking number which after 1 week still did not work or update. Shocking experience feels like I have been scammed. Customer support says I should receive my refund in 48 hours lets hope that works. Terrible! They should at least provide mandatory tracked shipping for international orders.

I wanted to try out a couple of different authors but without dipping too heavily into my pockets. I ordered seven books from WOB and paid no more than if I had bought three new ones.
What I liked was the choice available (far more than you would expect to find on a second hand book stall, for example), and the quality of the books themselves. It was obvious that they had been read but they were in very good condition, as described on the website.
The website itself was easy to browse and to order from. Delivery times were reasonable I received regular updates on the progress of my order until it arrived.
Overall, a very positive experience and I shall probably use them again.
