I've ordered quite a few books and dvds from Wob and never been disappointed, The items are in the condition as described, arrive on time, sometimes early, and are excellent value for money. I would recommend Wob to anyone.
I ordered a used book from this company they had advertised on their site. When the book arrived, it was not the correct book it was a completely different book. I contacted their customer service and informed them of the error. They instructed me to send the book back for a refund. I asked them to send me a shipping label since the error was on their part and was informed they have a clause in their terms of service that if the book cover is different or a different addition is sent they are not responsible for return shipping. My problem was, it was not even the book advertised on their site! I would have been fine with an older addition, different cover any of that, but a totally different title is a mistake on their part. Had the same experience with another company who was very apologetic and processed my return immediately. Customer service was very slow to respond and did not do so until I filed a claim with my credit card company. I would avoid this place.

They don't indicate whether the book you're purchasing is a hardcover or a paperback edition.
The two books I ordered were at least "good" condition; yet the cover of one was completely creased in half! Was it sent out like that or was the damage due to the really POOR packaging? The 2 books were put in an envelope that was then sealed without the books being cinched up tightly so they just shifted around in the envelope and maybe THAT is what creased the cover in half.
Their shipping is quick and the titles were the ones I ordered.
Would I buy from them again? Probably not with the availability of other used book sites.

Ordered item never got tracking because they never shipped it contacted them and they never responded after a month still nothing had to call credit card and dispute charges to get money back still haven't heard from world of books recommend avoid them like the plague

I am a huge fan of World of Books. I came across them when searching for a book on eBay, and since then I use their website directly. I have been buying all of my books here for the past year, both for myself and as gifts. Every time I need/want a new book, I first search in World of Books and they almost usually have it! Their website is very easy to navigate and they have so many options. I have never had any problems with them, and books always arrive on time (maximum a week after purchase). Obviously you are buying a second-hand product, so what you receive is not new, but I am generally very happy with the condition of all of the books.
World of Books is a great option if you are trying to be more eco-friendly and are keen on a more circular economy. They buy from local charities, donate and recycle any books they can't sell, and keep millions of books from ending up in landfills. And it's good for your pocket too. I couldn't be happier for discovering them!

Ordered 4 Flip Flap books (spiral bound) for my grandson, all were advertised as 'very good' - 2 of them were in very poor condition, ripped and spiral broken. They were replaced but I would like to know why they were picked and packed in such poor condition in the first place!

I ordered a book for my child and from the delivery date, I figured it was being mailed via media mail rate which can take some time. It's been 2.5 weeks and I've not yet received my book. I was trying to determine where it had shipped from, and now realizing it's going from the UK to the US. It's not very clear on the website that this is a UK business. And it's definitely not clear on the product page. Just be aware of this if you shop this website.

Update on the book. My daughter has had a few days now to study content of the book and says that it contains everything you need to get started playing and suitable for everyone as it is very easy to understand. Highly recommend this book.
Bought for my daughter who is ill in hospital to reignite her love of chess. Book condition was marked as very good, in fact the book was in pristine condition and looked brand new. Book came well packaged and was posted promptly. Bottom line is that my young daughter is delighted, that's good enough for me. Highly recommend WOB for used books.
Always been quick and reliable with delivery. I've been pleased with the quality of each purchase - considering I always buy the used options! Plus they're saving book waste and it's cheaper then buying new. What's not to love?

The turn around time is great and the books 3 our of 4 were all in great condition but due to poor packaging for the quantity and weight of them it broke open and one of the books got wet and all the pages stuck together on the bottom which was a real disappointment.

I made my initial purchase 9/2/2021. 2 weeks later I still hasn't received my order. I contacted them and they confirmed that not only had my order not been sent out, but that they refunded me for one of the books I purchased and didn't bother telling me beforehand that the book wasn't in stock even though I bought it off their website. Then they told me they shipped out the other book I had ordered, but it wasn't going to arrive by the time I needed it for my sister in laws baby shower. It has now been nearly a month and I still haven't received my order. I will NEVER use this site again! They do not fulfill their promises ontime!

The book was a very good price and delivered quickly but unfortunately, the usual very thin plastic packing meant one corner got damaged. It is a great shame that WOB's otherwise excellent service is let down in this way. I would be prepared to pay more for better packaging.
