The big problem with WOB is that their description of the condition of the books available is utterly unreliable. My most recent consignment of books were all described as in "very good condition": some were indeed very good, others very poor. This has happened every time I have ordered more than one title from them. The other issue is that they use an illustration of the book on their website, but more often than not, this is not the copy one actually receives. Additionally, sometimes a paperback is ordered, but a hardback arrives.
Their stock levels on the website cannot be relied on, so that an order arrives in separate packages over a period of time. When I ordered a batch of 5 items recently, most of them arrived promptly, but I am still waiting for a single title some 13 days later. Why state that the book is in stock in the first place? With wonderful irony the missing title is "The Death of a Bookseller"...

Poor quality book, this is the first time, that I have had to complain. Most of the 90 pages in the book were stuck together. Disappointing.

Orders were placed 11/27 and shipped 11/30/22 and 12/3/22 without option to track or any followup emails to advise on product status. I reached out to their "computer" responder who stated that orders were at USPS. USPS was contacted and they state they have not received any products. Whether this is a USPS error or not, WOB is responsible for ENSURING deliver of their products.

So brilliant for finding and trying out new and old authors,all in the name of ethical recycling, what's not to love
Whenever they put more than one book in the bag, the package arrives torn. Last time there was a cut 10 inches long so it's a miracle the books were all in the bag. Since they charge shipping by the book they should package them safely, one by one.

I submitted a request via Watson informing WoB that the wrong book had been delivered to me as part of the Buy 3 get 1 Free offer. Heard nothing back in a week. Submitted an email with the info above, and got a tone deaf reply about checking for my order with a neighbour. I brought the missing book elsewhere as I still don't know what WoB are actually doing about replacing the wrong book. This is the third order in a row where I've had quality issues or the wrong book delivered.
This is my first choice company when buying a book. Books always in excellent condition and arrive promptly.

Shame that I can't say the same about the Royal Mail, who 'delivered' my parcel by leaving it outside and exposed to the elements. They even took a photo of the 'delivered' parcel and sent it to me as proof of 'delivery'. Consequently all of the books in the parcel became rain-sodden, soaked through and unreadable. Such a shame as some of them are quite rare, and I have looked for them for a while. Please investigate using another delivery company, although they are probably all the same.
