This is the second time I've bought from WOB. The first time I ordered a book which was described as very good but when it arrived it was in a bad condition in my opinion. I informed them and within a week a near perfect copy was received without question. The second order was as described and free postage, what a bargain :o) . Thank you
I ordered a hard to find series for a niece. Two of the 3 part series were used, the third was new. The two used books were in identical condition to the brand new book so I was absolutely thrilled. I saved money by going through WOB, as I would have been spending over $120 if I had used amazon. I ended up spending about $55 and now the gift for my niece is complete! I couldn't be happier.

I complained about a damaged book but I didn't receive a reply. I was persuaded to conduct a telephone survey a while back to receive a £15 discount on a purchase. I completed the survey but didn't receive the offer. Sometimes books are sent in very flimsy packages and are prone to being damaged.

The books I have purchased from this company have always been in excellent condition, good value and by extremely good authors. The postal service has done them a great service in getting the books to me in excellent time and I would always trust this company to be truthful about the condition of the books.

Awful seller. Consistently overrates quality of their books. Their website states a book rated "very good" will come with a dustjacket. Mine did not come with one and featured extensive scratching on the cover. Items arrive in thin plastic sleeve. Seller does not respond to emails. Awful customer service. Buy from someone else.
Also, if you're in the US, it's nearly impossible to secure a refund. While it's ~$4 to send from the UK to the US, it's about $70 in reverse. That means if you're unhappy with your order, you're pretty much stuck with it.
Yet another very good experience with World of Books! Service is very good, delivery is very good, responses from customer service are excellent. I am a frequent buyer of books from them and it is rare to be disappointed!

Every book l have ordered from Wob has arrived in time and in the condition stated.
Their prices are very reasonable consdering P & P is included.
On the one occasion l had to contact them it was due to an error l had made. They replied immediately and it was all fixed.

To be honest I tend to buy new books by default, and if possible I'll buy them from a local bookshop. It was only when I was looking for out of print books for a relative, and trying to find a source that was not Amazon (or part of the Amazon behemoth) that I found Wob. It's fantastic, and has now become part of my go-to places to buy books.

As usual Lesley Pearse doesn't disappoint, although not my favourite of her books I still enjoyed reading it. A good fast delivery and the book in really good condition. I recently ordered another one of her books that Wob wasn't selling and the condition of the book was abysmal. I always look on your site first and will continue to do so.

Always bought books through Amazon before but heading for WOB website is so much better. I can browse through to whatever author I want and the delivery date is always correct and the books are used but always clean and tidy. I love to pass on what I read to others as sometimes they cannot afford to buy themselves.

I've had problems in the past with other online booksellers claiming "in excellent condition, like new", etc etc and the book arrives and it's not even close. Wob delivered! Very pleased with the condition of the book, stated it was in excellent condition and in reality, it's like new. Arrived quickly, no tears, smudges or bent pages. Will order again from Wob!

I ordered three book (offer), but noticed immediately I already had received one of them and cancelled within 10 minutes. I received a refund for one book only but have never received the other two books. If WOB cannot sort it out then I will have to go into PayPal as my understanding is a cancelled order should be a full refund with WOB or at least send the rest of the order. I wrote when cancelling and told them what happened so they should know the situation and my order list should prove which book was repeated and which still needed sending.

I wanted more of the Hamish Mcbeth books by mc Beaton. Not only were the used books in excellent condition they were cheaper than Amazon and free delivery. They were also dispatched quickly!

My first experience of WOB wasn't perfect to be honest. Book went missing in transit. But great Customer Service dispatched another. Since then flawless! Book quality is great, pricing the best and they'll be my first port of call now for any book. Highly recommend!

I'm writing once again to complain about a book on East African Butterflies which arrived with blank pages. I sent it back before taking photographs, but surely WOB can find all my back orders and give me an apology and refund. This is very annoying as it is part of a project and I'm now held up. This is my third review and something tells me that I'm not going to receive anything from WOB which is a shame as I've been pleased with all the other orders.

I ordered a book through Wob, described as VERY GOOD condition. It arrived on time, but that's where anything good I have to say about Wob ends. The book arrived with massive cover damage, with deep divots in the top, side and bottom edges of the hard cover. I immediately went to their website and filed a ticket with Watson, their bot, as instructed in the order confirmation email they sent me (pictured below). I described the problem, uploaded photographs of the damage and was given a job order reference number and promised a response within 48 hours. That was last week. Today is Wednesday of this week and still no response. Their customer service is horrible. You can't contact them directly via either chat, text, or email, only through the bot or a web order info form that they promise to answer within 48 hours. I've contacted them through both Watson bot and the webform and and have received no response. I want a free return mailing label and a complete refund.

Hopeless service. Bought a book.ordered 19/1/23.Vintage reprint "Canvas Canoes " Ref WGB*******,. £9.99. Not what I expected, Returned carefully on 27/1/23, with ALL my contact details,even paying extra for first class and extra wrap. Heard nothing since, yet I bought previously from WoB. Both phone nos lisred on web are incorrect!. Is this some sort of cowboy operation, or just penny pinchers?as impossible to contact.
