The book never arrived.

I ordered a book that said it should arrive in 7-14 business days. That time has past and no book. I tried to contact the customer service team only to get a message that said that would contact me within 48 hours. That time has also past, still no book. This is the first time I have Used WOB and it will be the last. No tracking info was provided and customer service has been non existent. I recently went to the site to check my order and now it says I have no orders. Luckily I still have the emails. Made several more attempts to contact WOB and still no answer, still no book, no refund and no attempt at all to make it right.

If you need a book and you don't want need a brand spanking new one. WOB are the best place (the even do some new ones). Everything is always in good condition or better. Never had a bad book from them and I've had plenty.

Good fast service and books in good condition for 2nd hand, my only grumble being that getting ex library books which are not mentioned in the description and having stickers on the books with £1 still on them when you have paid more than that for it.

I ordered a folding paper map and paid first-class postage to get it to me. It is now 10 days and the map has just left Nevada, still enroute to me in Oregon. I expect it, hopefully, 14 days down the road. Contrast this with Amazon where typically you get a book in 1-2 days or if from one of their vendors, in 7 days. Good thing I didn't need the map sooner. If you're OK to wait two weeks for a book, WOB is for you.

Wanted to reread The Aeneid as my copy could not be found. I heard some music on BBC radio 3 which was inspired by the story of the foundation of Rome and wanted to revisit this seminal work. The copy I bought from WOB was edition I had as a student - so rather ancient itself. Showed signs of wear and tear but perfectly fit for purpose!

I always check WOB first to see if they have the book l am looking for. Selection is good and condition rated. It saves me money and is ecologically sound! Delivery is quick and it saves me money! Win! Win!

I have bought books and DVD'S from World of Books frequently over the last couple of years. The books and DVD'S have always been of excellent quality and excellent value for money. Their delivery is very quick and they keep you informed as to what is happening. I would highly recommend using this company.

When ever I order and purchase books from World of Books, I am in anticipation for them to arrive. I look for the Postman each day. I have had so much enjoyment from the books bought through World of Books.
This is because ar 78 years old this month I hope to be able to continue enjoying many more books in the future. Well done World of Books and it has been a pleasure to be able to have the books of my choice at a price I can afford.

I ordered a book advertised as very good condition, it arrived with writing all inside it in biro, on the inside cover and inside many pages with kits of pages underlined, made it impossible to read. I've written to WOB twice with nobresponse, on the third time of writing in they have got back to me and offered a replacement, just hoping the replacement is in better condition

I ordered several books and received them in good packaging. They sent me texts letting me know where my order was at, when it was processed and when my order was in transit to me and when my order would arrive at my house. Was very pleased with condition of the books.

Everytime I order books, they are in very good condition. They arrived promptly, and are a very reasonable price. Such a good idea for books to be recycled to new owners. Very satisfied. Would recommend.

I've been buying (dozens) of books from WOB for years, and selling to them via Ziffit; both sites are brilliant. I recommend that anybody who reads a lot should buy from here as the condition of the books is always stated accurately, and are at very good prices. The service is very prompt and efficient. Very highly recommended.

I ordered my book at 2pm on Sunday and Postman Pat pushed it through my letterbox at 10am on Tuesday. It was £4.19 including postage and is indeed in Very Good condition. WoB have an impressive range of books and I often find a used copy of the book I'm looking for. The price is also usually very fair. It's now my go-to place for used books, even before EBay!

I bought a book that was listed as being in "very good" condition (wob defines "very good" as "a copy that's almost as good as new"). Considering that wob was offering this book for 7 Euro (a new copy is around 14 euro), I considered this a good deal.
Upon arrival, the book did not qualify as "very good" but rather "well read" (yellowed pages, stains on cover, folded pages and a warped book spine in wrinkles).
I will donate this book to charity and order a new copy.

This is the second time that I ordered with wob and received a book that did not meet the description of the advertised category.
The first time, it did not matter as much to me, this time, however, I had to rely on the categorisation and gave wob one more chance /the benefit of the doubt.
After this experience however, I would only order from wob if I did not care about the outward appearance of the book.

Conclusion: If you primarily or only care about the content of the book then wob might be a good solution. For cases in which you need to trust that the advertised category is correct, I cannot recommend wob.

There is a wide genre of books to choose from and doing a search for a particular book is usually successful. Information about price and condition of the book is clear and accurate. Delivery is prompt. A really good site to find books you want and those you didn't realise you needed!

I ordered a book from WOB online and never received it, so about 3 weeks in I emailed them and they said the book was not in good condition so it couldn't be sent out out to me. But why not let me know, then I asked about my refund and no response yet, it's been a week. Stay away at all costs.

Absolutely brilliant I would give wob 10 stars if I could. The books n cd r brilliant condition, plus I got a cd from here what was discontinued. And wob had a few of that cd which made me really happy.
