Opening an account is easy and the service works fine. But dear people who take Wirex for cashback, be warned. If you have more than $1.00 worth of WXT they force you to buy $300 WXT if you want to close your account later. This is a minimum to be able to withdraw WXT and they only close accounts if the balance is less then $1.00. Be careful with these hidden costs!

I got my balance to zero by buying the tokens. The total fee they charged me was 42.43 EUR just to get 1.50 EUR earned via cashback in Wirex Tokens out of the Wirex account so they would close it.

Wirex froze my account without notice, and despite multiple emails, there has been zero response. A financial service that lacks communication and arbitrarily locks accounts is not one I can recommend. Proceed with caution.

I received messages from Wirex that I only received the last one saying they were closing my account.
I sent an email in June because I can't get into my account. I want my access and money back. As I can't get into my account as it is blocked I can't get a ticket number! I am happy to provide all info needed. I have been with Wirex for over 3 years!

Support does not respond to emails at all! A week ago, they blocked the account, asked for proof of the address of residence, sent them 2 documents in two letters. No reaction! Wrote a few more letters during the week. No reaction! Leave appeals through the feedback form on the site and in the application. No reaction! The account is blocked, the money is frozen. I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Wirex. After closing my account with a significant balance, they failed to respond to any of my emails. Despite the lack of a customer support phone number, I took legal action to reclaim my funds, which resulted in my account being unblocked. However, Wirex disabled faster payments and Sepa payments, making it impossible for me to transfer my money through the app.

When I attempted to transfer funds using the Wirex Crypto wallet, the transfers remained pending for an extended period and ultimately never went through. Wirex initially claimed that the money had been sent, but later admitted that technical issues had prevented the transfer from completing. Subsequently, they ceased responding to my emails and support requests for two weeks, leaving me in limbo regarding my ******* GBP.

After more than two weeks of silence, I finally received a letter from Wirex stating that they were working on resolving the issue. I am deeply troubled by their actions and urge others to investigate their behavior as there are numerous similar verified reviews on Trustpilot detailing illegal and fraudulent activities.

This business wants me to verify my details AGAIN after three years of being a customer. Their verification links / process don't work and I only could make contact by Twitter.
Now they are telling me to deposit €300 in bitcoin so they can reset or 'synchronise' my account.
I told them 'no' and a token amount of €10 is enough to confirm my source of revenue is legit.

So they replied with this -

Advice - draw your funds out as I have done and warn others.

Wirex, currently, from my perspective, is one of the best wallets right now. It supports most of the countries than other wallets.

Pros:
1. More countries supported.
2. Fast transaction than ever.
3. Transaction fees are minimum
4. Verification was quick.
5. Support is responsive!

Cons:
1. Card support was halted, and it's taking too much time to be available again.

If you deposit money (even cryto) they start asking you for lots of documents about source of funds / income and then asking you again for a multiple forms of proof of address and identity verification and finally close / block / freeze your account and since they have a super slow support service you cannot even access your funds or withdraw to another bank account or wallet in a timely manner!
STAY AWAY

I've been satisfied with their services for a long time: fast transactions, user friendly mobile app, reasonable fees. But after they upgraded to the version 2.0 I'm not really happy with them. Now I can wait for the transaction for days and now I don't know how they count fees anymore. And the exchange rate is still a mystery to me (it depends on the amount you want to exchange). Anyway I'm still using Wirex but don't trust big sums.

Really disappointed with their service. I transferred funds into my account but was not credited. There have been no error message or whatsoever to tell me that there is a system error but upon checking the transferred funds have been deducted from my bank but not reflecting on my Wirex account. I contacted their customer support but after almost a week, I haven't got any response. Now I am left clueless as how to resolve the problem.

They get my money and block my account

I open the account to receive help from families and friends for my studies in Spain and when I try to exchange the fund to a wallet a couple of days ago, the app crush all the time. At the time I didn't have enough signal so I don't really care.

Today I receive the last funds, in total not more then 800€ aprox, and when I try to withdraw the funds, they block my account. I contact support and they wrote me back asking me for the source funds (again, less then 800€) and I don't have any more news.

If you really relay in this service to live, run away, this is not the right option.
