I used to order from wet seal before they closed I was so excitex when I got email that they where back in business so I went online and place an order was so excited waiting for my items cuz I always loved what I got from there but this time it was such a disappointment the material was so cheap and see trough I tried to go online and post my review but it don't give you the option wonder why. I'm glad the items I got where on sale I would of been super pissed if I had payed full price seriously I think I would of gotten better quality at Wal-Mart.
Completely dissatisfied. When I placed my order I was delighted that they automatically gave me a $50 credit on my order. I figured it was a first-time customer credit like many companies offer. Several days later, I received a cancellation notice, claiming that the items I had ordered were out of stock, despite being clearly available for purchase on their website at the time I received the cancellation notice via email. The subject line was worded "Oops, Our Bad," appropriate lingo for a pre-teen but quite unprofessional for a legtimate business. Wet seal cancelled my order, then retroactively changed the wording of their policy to allow them do so, falsely dating the effective date the month before. It had previously stated that once an order was placed it could not be canceled. Then they sent me a cancellation notice on someone's else's order, AND sent an email with my order info to a different customer. Al of the above seems very shady and underhanded, and not just a mistake. Customer service and IT dropped majorly dropped the ball, and I will not be recommending Wet Seal brand or any associated holdings to anyone in my sphere of influence.
Do not order online! I ordered a jacket from them and it came very late and was damaged! There was a tear in the jacket and the edges were clearly unfinished! It looks like a 10 year old sewed it as the stitching is horrible! There were loose threads everywhere and even had tape around the button holes. I saw the jacket in store but they didnt have my size so i ordered online and it is not the same quality! I contacted wetseal to return the jacket and customer service was very rude and I have to pay for shipping back aswell! Very disappointing.
I bought this dress from wet seal at the arundel mills location in Baltimore. I came in to return a dress that I never wore. I didn't have time to try it on at the store so I tried it on at home and it was way to short so I went to the store to return the dress with tags attached and my receipt and the lady started smelling my dress that I was trying to return, like first off who smells clothes before you return them and then told me she couldn't return it because the dress smells bad. I was so pissed! Never heard of this in my life.
I ordered a dress and ankle boots for a special occasion on the 1st, I wasn't expecting them to be here anytime soon, so that's why I ordered them in advance (needed them the 15th). I've ordered from them before and it took a week to get here. Well, it is now the 14th and they still aren't here. I called customer service and they were so unhelpful. I was told since it wasn't going to make it here in time, that I could get a refund so I responded with "so another two weeks until I get that?" Her response was "Yeah, maybe even longer than that." Ha. So helpful. I will never order from here again. Worst experience ever, thanks Wet Seal.
For cyber Monday wet seal online had 40% off the whole site, awesome right? Placed a large order, and because my shipping and billing address are different (because i just moved) my order was placed on a hold. Called wet seal and the girl said she had to be on the line while I called my bank to verify I placed the order, I told her that I shop online all the time and I've never had this problem... Calling my bank while the girl was on the line, the bank wanted my information as usual to verify who I was. I told her that I didn't feel comfortable giving her the information (part of my social and other information that someone could use to gain access to my accounts) because a 3rd party was on the line. So on both ends we weren't able to verify anything, for wet seal or my bank. Even the girl from the bank though it was unusually for wet seal to be doing this, she said there was no reason to involve the customer and that if there is a problem wet seal should call the bank directly. The girl from wet seal basically said there was no way to verify I placed the order since I wouldn't give out my info and my order would not be processed. So I told her to just cancel my order. I will not be receiving my order and I missed out on all the other cyber Monday deals... great. I NEVER leave bad reviews, but the HORRIBLE service I just received deserves a bad review. I wish I could give 0 stars.
I ordered a TON of clothes from them! I like how they have my favorite type of clothing Urban! And they have cute classy stuff but, what really makes it stand out is some of the clothes and jewelry are really unique.
6/2/16 I found some cute clothes that I wanted to try on but for some reason they keep the fitting room doors locked so I had to wait for an employee to open one but only 2 people were working and they were both at the checkout so I waited and waited and waited and eventually put my clothes on the nearest rack and just walked out the door. The employees just chatted with each other the entire time and never glanced at me or the other person waiting for about 10 minutes until I just left. Good clothes. Awful service.
I can find quality items for cheap prices but customer service is terrible. You can't exchange online... so if they dont have the same item in the store, you're screwed. I really liked a bodysuit and bought it online (it ended up being too small)... couldn't find it at the store and i cant do an online exchange SO i paid $6-7 shipped twice because they cant figure out a bettter way to service their customers. ALSO when i went to return this bodysuit for store credit (Freehold, NJ location) so i can re-purchase the one on the line... The girl on the floor asked me if I needed help and I said I had a return and she said okay and walked away. When her manager asked if she could help me because she was busy ringing someone else up, she said "sure but its just a return". I'm sorry I'm not helping meet your sales goal but I deserve just as much service as someone else or I won't come back to spend more money. Simple enough. I wish that was all, but then she interrogated me, "May I asked why you're returning this" with an attitude. I just don't understand this type of customer service. I did nothing to deserve being ignored and given an attitude
Ok. Wetseal has some cute fashionable clothes. I ordered a couple items from them about 6-7 days ago and i still havent recived it yet. Why? Because they gave UPS the wrong address. Now my package is in a post office in a different state hundreds of miles away from me. -_-. I contact UPS and they said there is nothing they can do (as usual). I contact Wetseal.com and they said i have to pay to re-route it... um im not paying anything to re-route it because its not my fault they gave UPS the wrong address. So ill just wait until they return to sender and get back my money. I am never ordering clothes from there again. And there is no stores in New York that I know of. So i guess they just lost a costomer. =/
I was shopping at the Wet Seal in the Holyoke Mall the other day, 5/9/16, and was greated by someone the minute I walked in. Was asking me how my day was, what I was shopping for, and it was really nothing, and let me browse the store. Two people were working, and I would assume the one on the floor was the manager., and an older lady with dark hair was assisting another customer at the register. She came up to me after letting me look around and helped me put together 3 outfits for a trip that I was taking. Highly recommend my friends go there and shop! Will visit this store again, the staff was very friendly, and the store was nice and clean. When I left I asked for the managers name as she was very helpful, even after having to deal with a very RUDE customer, she was more then happy to help me with my outfits!
I like the clothes they have on there and the prices aren't too bad either. I ordered my items on a sunday and expected it by friday but i got my items on wednesday so it came early and I was happy about that. The costumer service was great.
I only had two problems, the sizes I got were all wrong the clothes seemed too big to be a medium so I sent them back, so problem solved.
And when I got my box it looked like everything was put in plastic and just thrown in the box. Like my dress wasn't even folded it was just balled up in the box. I called to complain about it and unlike other websites they actually answered the phone and offered a price reduction on my next purchase.
I'll be ordering from them again
Extremely unsatisfied and will NOT be *******@wetseal Emails they send out are misleading and they do not put customers first. I added items to my cart on their website choose not to check out because I was still debating on the purchase. Got an email saying that if I checked out they would discount an additional 30% off... remember the word "additional". I did check out and it was not applied. I chatted with someone on their page since their "contact us" link does NOT work! And no resolution, they even said the offer had ended at 7:59 am when i didn't even get the email till 8:30 am the employee was going back and forth with me debating the fact, I had to send her a screenshot of the email! Then shes like oh it because you already had a discount and you can only use one at a time. So the why did your email say "Use the code BuyNow30 and get 30% additional discount for completing your purchase now" I ended up canceling my order and they never apologized for the confusion/misleading email. SMH
I placed an order on the 23rd. It still has not been shipped out yet and it's October 3rd now. What a joke. If you match your billing and shipping address (I live in a different state than my billing address) they'll put your order on hold. If they're different, they'll put your order on hold. Unsypmathetic and unhelpful. Over 0/5 stars.
I'M BEYOND PISSED RIGHT NOW! My items were supposed to come within 5-8 days from my purchase. I was very patient and even accepted the fact that my items would get here by Saturday (12 days after my purchase). I expected them and they did not come, so again I assumed it would be here by Monday and here I am on Tuesday night with nothing from Wet Seal! I will never ever shop with them online again in my life and I advise you all to stick to your Forever 21, H&M and Charlette Russe. I'm SO mad it's not even funny, this is ridiculous, like I said NEVER AGAIN!
If you want your clothes here fast they are THE WORST it took 10 days just to ship and its been 8 days and I'm still waiting for my clothes to come and worse, because they took so long to ship I didn't get three of the tops I ordered because they were out of stock.
I'll try to be short and to the point by leaving out a few details that, if I mentioned, would make the situation even more shady but for the sake of time.
Tried to make an order around early December, was told I needed to have them on the phone line with my bank where I'd give them permission to have full access to my information because my order total was "large" ($200-300?) so they had to put it on a "hold" (although the order was immediately placed as a normal debit charge and all of this reeked of made up bull$#*!). Called my bank with them to verify that it was me and when asked to go further and allow her access to my account I refused. I've never had any business (if you can call them that) so 'concerned' with fraud they'd themselves give permission to their young, brain dead employees to potentially do exactly what they are "trying to prevent". Fast forward to now, conveniently a few days away from valentine's day (around a holiday time when most fraud occurs so they'd have some sort of cloak) I have a random charge of 320 dollars from jcpenny and money gram transactions that reads $0 but I'm guessing this was some sort of attempt on their part. I can say with complete certainty that after my dealings with wetseal, my information was in no situation where it could be compromised and prior to it I've never had any issue with fraud for YEARS. I should have known to cancel out my card but giving these scumbags the benefit of a doubt I foolishly didn't. To add to this: wetseal is going out of business. That explains the $#*!ty customer service and fraud everyone is reporting. I'm taking action and getting a many names as I can and I suggest you do the same or stay FAR away from these losers

I ordered 4 items from wetseal online. I later found out that they charged me for 5 even though I only received 4 items. It took about 3 weeks for delivery even though the website said 7-10 days. The items were just thrown into a box and shipped to me, and only one item was actually packaged in a little plastic bag like how all other stores ship their items. All the clothes I ordered were terrible quality. I bought a cold shoulder top and one of the shoulder holes was larger than the other. I also ordered a pink cardigan, and when I took it out of the box it was knotted and twisted and there was a huge black oil stain on the side of it. The receipt that came with my order was crumbled up and as I read it said that the price for each of my items was $1.00 even though I had paid over $50.00 total. So when I tried to return everything in the store the associate said she could only give me $5.00 because that's what the receipt said which infuriated me because I had paid over $50 for crap clothing and now wetseal wasn't even going to give me my money back. I had to search through my emails to prove that I actually bought my items because the receipt they gave me wasnt acceptable. In the end they only gave me store credit which is worthless to me now since their items are horribly made and cheap. Wetseal is a scam and a horrible store. I'm never shopping there again.
I ordered two pairs of ankle boots from the website. I ordered them on the 4th and received my package on the 9th. I love my shoes and I'm satisfied with my purchase.
