Waste of money
May 28, 2017

Only caters to the lower end brides, don't try to sell a top level package it's only attracting budget brides. The company themselves wouldn't let us out of our agreement when we tried to get out even though their exit clause was clear. Should have gone to the knot

I will update my review when I am informed that the user has been suspended from posting, but I have some friends that are in the WeddingWire forums ( I quit back in May because these women are horrible) and they informed me that the bullies in the forums have been bringing up my name and being accusatory of some action that involved another WeddingWire user. When I had issues with these bully women back in May, a WeddingWire admin informed these women they were not allowed to mention my name in these forums ever again. Well, these women have been bringing my name or alterations of my name up in the forums and still have their posting rights. Hmm. One particular user openly admitted to keeping tabs on my Facebook since May even though we aren't friends which is really creepy. She offered to give out my address to anybody that wants it. I contacted WeddingWire when I received a screenshot of that comment and they said they FINALLY removed the thread (which was posted a whole day ago and allowed more than enough time for people to see that comment and enabled this user give out my address which when you Google someone's name, it's really not that hard to find.) I have been informed that this user is still posting and I find great discomfort in the fact that wedding wire is still allowing this user that is threatening my personal information to still post. The user goes by the username "Lucille"

WW is not good
May 25, 2017
Previous review

My initial post was accidentally replaced by my update, but my original post said I do not recommend WW. Especially the Forum section. There are a group of women that refer to themselves as "lare bishes" that will bully, belittle, be vulgar with other women. It's gotten so bad that I've talked to multiple women that were using WW that I don't personally know that deactivated because of all the bullying. I still see these same women posting even after they have broken almost all the guidelines so I'm confused why they can gang up on one person and flag their comments (for no reason), get that person banned from posting, but they get off and don't face any repercussions. WW needs to do something about this because by not, you are condoning bullying. I don't care if someone is 7 or 70, bullying is wrong and should not be tolerated. Earlier today a girl made a post and the grammar and spelling was off and these women came in and tore this girl to shreds for her bad grammar and spelling. They just continued with it, too. They were stalking my posts yesterday and following them to start drama on all my stuff. These are about 15 women that I'm talking about... not just 1 or 2. I am very disappointed to see that nothing is being done with these women. A slap on the hand and a warning is not good enough. They need to have their posting rights and accounts banned. I submitted a list of the usernames to WW yesterday and I still see those same names happily posting and continuing to bully others. Oh and STILL trash talk me.

Date of experience: May 25, 2017

I'm sorry Lauren, but I disagree that WW will help with the issue. I contacted you guys multiple times yesterday and I see these same bullies posting today. Nothing has been done. Now, they found me on social media and are sharing my info and trash talking me. I can't believe you guys would let this go on. Action needs to be taken against these women. How can you let them get away with harassment and bullying? I've had some comments of mine that were flagged by their "group" and those comments didn't violate any of the CGs. But because so many of them back each other up, my comments were removed and I was banned from posting anything. The rules seem to only apply to some users it seems. I had to deactivate my Facebook because of these women. I'd like to speak with a manager or some one that can ensure these women don't get away with the terror they're bringing down on other users such as myself.

I agree with Amanda. Every single day I have comments flagged as inappropriate that do not violate CG's. It seems this particular group of girls gang up and bully and harass every other person that does not agree with them. I literally had to deactivate my account because of them. I signed up to wedding wire because I heard the forums are super informative and everyone else was so nice, but that is not true. I am actually having every single friend I know on there deactive their accounts. I have contacted customer support and nothing has been done about it. They continue to belittle people. They even have a forum post about how they dislike someone and making fun of other people's posts. I don't know how you allow that to go on. You are promoting bullying and should be so embarrassed to have people like this represent you. Back to the knot I go.

We started with WeddingWire the beginning of the year. What sets them apart is the customer service. We were partnered with a 'customer success manager' who genuinely cares about us and our business. They are innovative, forward thinking, inclusive, and offer opportunities to increase knowledge and education within our industry. A special shout out to Taylor for being so amazing!

I have been a Wedding Wire advertiser for years and have never experienced any of the problems some of these other people claim. No fake leads, no fake reviews, prompt call returns, solid suggestions to improve my listing, and Wedding Wire World has been very good every time I have attended.

I am an established photographer who moved to a different city. Decided to give Weddingwire a try in a new market. I got a lot of fake requests that never came through. Wasting my time typing responses. I started doubting my approach. It's nothing g but a scam, tried canceling- good luck with that. They don't have a signed agreement with you. Simply cancel your card and don't pay these scam artists.

While some of the advice and ideas are great, the forum is full of mean girls and vendors, especially *. It's obvious after awhile on that site, that many of the brides just regurgitate the obnoxious views of the vendors. Perhaps they don't realize that those vendors pay a fee to be on the sight and will say anything to drive more cash into their grubby little hands.

This is a top notch "scam business". Businesses excel by cooperating with their clients but this one seems to be following standards from the stone age. They don't cooperate with you and don't even care to. Apart from that, there is a quite good amount of ridiculousness and rudeness. However, the good thing is there is even a person who responds to every single negative review on this page. Scroll down for reviews and you will find that person. If a firm has a specific person for that task, that means they mess up a lot and consistently get a lot of negative reviews! Well, at least they are consistent with something... Along with consistent fake leads and consistent fake reviews, they consistently respond to the people they disappoint. When you work with them, it is very likely all you will get is that person's response to your negative review, but I am not sure you should pay for that...

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND REWARD GOOD DECENT BUSINESSES, NOT THIS ONE... DON'T BUY PROBLEMS WITH YOUR OWN MONEY!

My review is one of excelence, a perfect 5. Cathy Ramirez gave me the assurance to help me keep calm. She handed me the tools so I could achieve the best results from a very difficult moment in my carreer. Helping me in every way I needed, and giving me estadistics showing me that what had happened was not so bad. She trully is great and excelent in what she does. Thank you for having such a excelent advicer in your staff. Cathy Ramirez has an excellent overall review from me.

I joined weddingwire.com in an attempt to grow my DJ business and found out it has nothing but fake leads and rude people! I had two potential clients who agreed to purchase my service and then took me for a ride for several days before reneging and wasting both my time and theirs! Then another one messages me early in the morning asking what packages i have then i respond and hear nothing back. After that the phone calls i got were fakes as well, either from bill collectors, telemarketers or just people who dont seem to think theyre too old for prank phone calls. Then account manager Danielle calls and tries to tell me im not talking to customers right when in fact i am: i find this just another excuse to cover up the fact that these people are not real and that if i dont pay the other $94.33 due my account would be terminated and id have to pay the full balance and get a new contract. Well then goodbye because i didnt pay $94.33 or agree to a contract just to have people take me for a ride and waste my time and have account managers belittle me on how i do things like they expect me to be perfect. It looks like im not at all the only one whos victim of this crazy thing. Ill definitely stick to craigslist and find a different avenue to advertise my services because this is beyond appalling!

Thank you for reaching out to us and I apologize for any inconvenience regarding the types of leads you are receiving. Since your vendor storefront on WeddingWire is public, you may be receiving phone calls that are not direct inquiries and unfortunately could be spam. No way out!
April 6, 2017

This is our 5th season in business. We decided to pay for a yearly subscription. We get inquiries and email them back and get no responses!
It's April. We haven't had more than 10 weddings since November. No problems, no complaints. Last week, a 1 star review rolls in saying we're "unprofessional and don't communicate". It's private. We have no idea who it is, when the event was, or the location. No one will tell us. We can't defend ourselves. We actually don't believe it's real. We turned down 4 events over the past 6 months due to distance, gut feelings, and lack of information about the venue. We're afraid it's one of the brides we wouldn't service. We've asked for clarification. They're providing none. We've asked to cancel our account, but they won't stop charging our credit card for the rest of the year.

This site is a massive scam! Fake leads, fake names that never book anything. Maybe once is a blue moon you accidentally get someone real.

The names are fake, the emails are fake, you get nothing but fake leads one after the other who do nothing but waste you time and lots and lots of money. I've been collecting leads for quite some time and I plan on taking my findings to our state's attorney general.

Hi Steve,

We're so sorry to hear that you have had a negative experience with the leads you have received on WeddingWire. That being said, WeddingWire certainly never submits fake leads of any kind to our vendors. Let me start with the things I do like since it is such a small list. I like the fact I can put my guest list onto the site. But that is about it. I guess I can also agree with the fact their wedding website is free, even though it has limited choices and themes IMO.

To the things I don't like. People are beyond rude on the forum posts. I personally feel as if the forums should be taken down altogether, and it looks like I am not the only one to say that the forum are is a horrible place for advice, but let me tell you, if you make a discussion board and say that, it gets shut down in a heart beat along with the snarky comments you are bound to get on any discussion you make.
I do no like the fact if you export your guest list from WW it exports it into excel (which is no problem) except you can't import it back!
There also seems to be a lack of options on the site, and you really can't change anything without having to email customer support, i. E I accidentally put yashoo instead of yahoo and it took two days for WW to fix it because the first time, they didn't do it correctly, and the next time I ended up getting locked out.

I've been a member of the WeddingWire network for several years now. As a wedding professional, it was either them, or a rival site for me... I opted for WeddingWire due to the size of their coverage to my target audience. By nature, I'm quite a cynical 'I'll believe it when I see it' individual, so I take any 'online' service with a pinch of salt... almost a 'necessary evil' type of attitude generally... so it was with a sense of absolute elation, that I called my WeddingWire Success Manager, Kim Knodt, yesterday, to thank her PROFOUNDLY, on behalf of my wife and myself!

Kim initially emailed me, asking for a free 30 minutes or so, to speak on the phone, and see if there way any way that she could help me... to say I was indifferent is putting it mildly... I'd been quite negative about our success rate, our contact-bookings ratio was poor, and I wondered if WW was the best route for my marketing funds.
Kim persisted, and, even when she got me to commit to a time slot, I admit that I prioritized that call waaaaay down my 'to do for today' list.

We talked, I griped about our results thus far on WW, she asked if she could make an observation... she said that, in her eyes, there was a 'gap' in my range of packages. That I seemed to be offering only 'budget', or 'high-end'... where was the 'middle-ground'? Couples might find an 'in-between' ideal, if they didn't fit the 2 packages above?

I listened, went away and created that middle package... and it has now become THE main source of revenue for my wedding work! Clients love that it's not too expensive, not too budget, gives US a good session, without taking all day to deliver... I can't believe that I didn't see what was a glaring problem, right before my eyes!

I'm sure that Kim and her colleagues get plenty of 'gripers', and rarely get people taking the time to call and thank them, but she did an awesome job!
My business gets more bookings, I earn more, which in turn, allows me to invest more in equipment and peopleall because of one tenacious and observant WeddingWire Professional!
THANK YOU and well done Kim!

My Photography company uses wedding wire to advertise our services. Our first sales rep at Wedding wire was Brian Mate. We had great success with Brian and his associates. Our new sales rep is Kate, who has continued the excellent service Brian and his team started. Kate has great patience and always answers all our questions. Recently, we had some layout concerns with our ad. Kate referred us to Mike in tech support. Mike did an exceptional job explaining technical details and getting our Wedding Wire vendor ad where we needed it to be. Mike has a great command of the subject matter. He also didn't just help us with our ad, Mike sent us links and articles and provided detail after detail of extremely valuable information that will help our business grow and prosper. I can't say enough good things about Wedding Wire's great customer service. They're awesome!
