We monitor reviews for authenticity
Be careful about Wedding Wire reviews. I posted a straight-forward, factual review on a caterer that was less than 4 stars and wedding wire deleted it. They emailed me to say the review was contested by the vendor, and I replied with documentation of what I had wrote. Review disappeared anyway.
If all I get to see on the site are positive reviews, then they are worthless to me. Not to mention a waste of time for folks who take the time to write something up for others to benefit from (and for the vendors to use to improve, not deny!).
Anyway - look for reviews on your vendors elsewhere, not this site.
NOT WORTH IT! Wedding wire was great when it was free. Then they called to solicit their upgraded services. It's pretty expensive but I thought it would be worth a shot. We didn't see any improvement on leads/click traffic. Tried to cancel but we were locked in for a year. I realize now why thy lock you in for a year- because if you weren't you would cancel within a few months. I believe they feel like wedding vendors are expendable and they definitely don't care about you after you sign the contract.
Hi Chris,
We sincerely regret you feel this way! Were you able to touch base with your success representative about managing your account? If you haven't, we'd be more than happy to get you in touch.
If you'd like some assistance with your account please email support@weddingwire.com!
I placed an honest review of a vendor and when it was disputed provided substantial evidence to my experience and they didn't post it. I wouldn't trust this site!
Hi Bella,
We want to assure you that we take our dispute process very seriously. Can you please email support@weddingwire.com with your account information so we can further investigate your dispute case?
Thank you!
Wedding Wire is a great tool for brides planning their wedding and/or looking for great vendors in their area. They are not perfect by far, but do the best they can to keep both the brides/couples and vendors (who help keep the site running with $$) happy with the services they receive. I'd recommend them to any couple I know who are getting married.
Thanks Cathy! We love to hear feedback like this!
I had a horrible experience with a florist, posted a factual review on wedding wire- it was pulled down stating I needed to provide an invoice- I did, they said it didn't meet their invoice criteria (? Did they tell the florist this or just me?), then to send proof of payment- I sent a copy of the cashed check- and now they haven't responded to the past 4 emails.
Hi Kara,
We apologize for any lapse in communication regarding your disputed review. If you would still like more information about your review's status, please feel free to email support@weddingwire.com directly so that we can assist you!
If you are a vendor... Do not walk, but RUN. What they tell you when they lock you up for 12 months is often misleading and a way to get more money from you.
Hi John,
We appreciate your feedback and apologize for any confusion had upon signing up with us. Please note that we display all of the perks of each package we offer specifically on our advertising page below:

If you ever have any questions regarding your account please feel free to email support@weddingwire.com!
I signed up for this website as a vendor and enjoyed the free great ratings I was getting. Then, they call me up and want me to join their advanced account for $66 a month which put me on the second page when potential clients search nearby zip codes. BIG mistake. I was not told during signing up that it was a year long contract, I was under the impression I could cancel whenever I wanted. I asked the person selling me the service if it was possible to cancel if I did not see the bookings I wanted within the next couple of months. Months go by and I see no new bookings and I wanted to cancel - but was bound by a "contract" (that I never signed) for a year. The sales girl was SO rude (Megan) to me on the phone and had no intention of being understanding toward me. I eventually had to cancel the debit card they were charging to get out of it. It still leaves a sour taste in my mouth to think about. DON'T USE WEDDINGWIRE!
Hi Sonya,
We apologize if there was any confusion as to the contract term length. However, please note that both our advertising page and Terms of Use both state that every subscription is set for a 12 month period.
Our 12-month contract exists because we want to ensure each business has ample opportunity to see success throughout their term.
Please feel free to email support@weddingwire.com with any questions.
Wedding Wire is a big scam for vendors too. If you're a vendor, DO NOT use Wedding Wire. You're locked into a year contract where they take your money even if you want to opt out of their website and do not want to use their site for your business. They do not let you opt out for any reason. This year long term commitment is no where to be found when you're signing up as a vendor. I only find out after the 1st month when I wanted to opt out of their website. That's when they tell you that you are committed for 1 whole year. I think any good company should give a vendor at least 30 days to opt out. This is just good business for everyone.
Hi Cindy,
Thank you for your comments.
We apologize for any confusion as to the contract term length. Sales Representatives inform vendors of the 12 month contract during the initial sales call. This is also reiterated in the confirmation email sent to each vendor that upgrades. The reason we require 12 month contracts is because the wedding cycle typically lasts 12-15 months. We want to make sure all of our vendors are able to see a full return on investment during that time!
Please feel free to email support@weddingwire.com with any questions.

I used weddingwire.com as a starting point to find a DJ for my wedding. However, I had to terminate the one I found prior to my wedding, because he was rude and very hard to work with. Since I contacted him based on weddingwire.com reviews I thought I should leave a review of my experience to warn others. It was very factual and not at all exaggerated or mean spirited review.
Within just a couple of hours, Weddingwire.com contacted me and said that since I terminated the contract prior to the event, I was not permitted to write a review. I find this complete absurd since it's exactly these types of reviews brides/grooms/wedding planners should know about. There's no telling how many other people have had a terrible experience with this vendor but were not able to write a review about it on the website, resulting in a very misleading overall rating for this vendor.
Weddingwire.com is obviously on the side of the vendors not the birdes/grooms/wedding planners that use that site. Only the reviews that are positive are allowed. I would not trust a single rating for any vendor on this site, and would definitely not use Weddingwire.com for any wedding planning or information.
It's amazing that I received my longing dress!
I love it so much, and i love my mom too.
But i do not like the shipping speed of tidebuy, i suggest it to use ups or tnt.
All these vendors think Wedding Wire is great! I used to think so too... Well just wait until someone posts a completely slanderous and false review about you and watch while Weddingwire does nothing to save your good reputation. If you complain you get a "why you shouldn't sue us" link to their website where they proceed to try and scare you. Then if you complain again they cancel your account, promise you a refund and NEVER send it. Now I have spent thousands on lawyers so I can go after them and save my life's work... don't be so quick to defend them vendors. They won't defend you back.
This website was amazing! The checklist kept me in order when planning my wedding, but didn't overwhelm me either. It was great that you could edit the tasks titles and dates to be done. The website maker was free and helped me make a wedding website for my guests. I included the link on my save the dates and invitations. It also helped me to look up ideas, price ranges, and vendors. Other wedding planning sites I tried were either not free, overwhelming, or confusing by wedding wire was not any of these!
Weddingwire.com is a scam! Minister - Reverend Giovanni Weddings - did not show up to our wedding with a reason of he just 'forgot'. When we left him negative feedback it was removed instantly. Don't trust this site! We booked him due to his 5.0 great status which we now know was a scam.
I fell in love with WeddingWire when planning my wedding. So many tools and options, I created a beautiful wedding website and to this day I still get complimented on it! (I was married over 5 months ago and I still don't want to take it down)
As far as that whole 'dispute system' it is a little frustrating. My florist was, sub-par to say the least... and that's being nice. She disputed my honest review and I freaked out when I saw it was no longer published. Then weddingwire contacted me asking for a contract or form of payment, I sent my invoice right away and demanded to know when my review was going back up! Although a bit slow in getting back to me, they assured me that my review is only temporarily removed and once they verify the info I sent my review will go back up in a few weeks. I checked in from time to time and finally saw it up!
Looking back, though a slightly annoying system, I'm relieved that they have this dispute whateveryoucallit system in place because if I were to get married all over again, (hopefully that won't happen lol), I would find relief in knowing they actually take the time to verify the reviews on their site!
Agree. It's a scam. Only glowingly positive reviews get posted. I never would have booked my invitation printer or my venue save for the reviews on their site and both were disasters. When I tried to review them, my reviews were "disputed" both times. You're allowed to have an opinion... just not an honest one.
Hi Emily,
We allow our vendors to dispute their reviews to ensure that the reviewer was in fact a client of theirs. Can you please message me with you account information so that I can look into your reviews that were disputed?
I look forward to your message!
Wedding Wire pretends to be a helpful website for future brides by providing and promoting their wedding vendor reviews as useful, but instead it leads brides to a vendor "slaughter". It encourages brides to submit multiple reviews by offering prizes. I put up several reviews on their site, all positive except one. Two months later I received an email saying that my review was being disputed and the vendor was requesting for proof that I was a client by either an email exchange between us or a signed contract. I provided an email exchange immediately. The one other negative review for that vendor disappeared at the same time,, yet dozens of very suspiciously positive results had been added. I waited for my review to reappear, but it wasn't re-posted, so I wrote them and asked why. Five times. They never responded, and never restored my truthful review-it wasn't really even flamingly bad, just factual. Since then, several people on different wedding sites (Wedding Bee for one, which is in a partnership with Wedding Wire) have said the same thing happened to them on Wedding Wire, it seems that Wedding Wire gives preference to vendors who pay money to be featured on the site, and don't really care at all about the accuracy of their reviews, leading future brides to believe they are getting accurate information, when nothing could be farther from the truth. Shame on them, it's ridiculous. Go to Yelp or CitySearch. Or even Wedding Channel (the vendor protested a review there too, but after an email exchange with Wedding Channel they left the review up) for more accurate reviews.
This is my wedding planning website of choice. I love all the tools it provides for planning and budgeting. It has so many reviews of vendors, that I've started going there before going to yelp. Forums are excellent. I typically receive responses within 5 minutes of posting. I just started my free wedding website through weddingwire and it has lots of cool features & applications such as free music uploads, photo albums, registries & nightlife suggestions for guests.
