I have been a paid vendor (which by the way is not cheap) for over six months now and it has been a total failure! They will sell you as a vendor a good bunch of BS but what they do is they send fake referrals. I was told that the get the employees to send referral inquires to vendors just to keep them interested. The referrals that I have received which have been many all wind up as total dudes! No responses from referrals. No yay, nay or go to hell! This is the worst investment I have made as a seasoned wedding design/consultant/planner. Vendors don't do it! Freaking joke!
There are SO many sites out there that dream about being 1/10th of what Wedding Wire is. WW is reliable, thorough, valuable (definitely worth what you pay for), personable, and intentional. Yes, it can be a hefty fee if your company is not in a position to actually gain business, but once you're in that position it's much easier and a much more valuable investment. For example, I paid for 6 months of a featured/spotlighted position and it was a waste of money. But it was a waste of money because I didn't have any reviews and had not taken the time to build my online presence with this particular site. Now that I've focused my attention to building through Wedding Wire I have decided to pay for a spotlight again and was hired within the first week. This isn't a snap your fingers and you're in business type of thing... this is an investment, not just financially, but also with your time. But the fact is, you have a whole network of support, you can contact them at any time and have your own personal rep, they will walk you through the analytics, guide you through how to build a more effective profile, etc etc. Some other sites (I'll avoid names) allow anybody to create fake profiles, leave you fake reviews, etc. Wedding Wire has protections in place for professionals, they know the ins and outs of the business, and they're willing to practically hold your hand through the process. They've been a part of helping me build my company and brand, they've been so personal that I feel as though I know them, and they've been, BY FAR< the most intentional, thorough, supportive site my company has done business on. Thanks WW, you gals are truly AMAZING.
We have been working with WeddingWire since November 2014 and we love it! We have attended one of the events in Las Vegas and found it to be fun and we picked up a few tips that have been very helpful to our business. Also when we have had a question in reference to our account I have found our customer manager, Doug Peters to be just fantastic to work with and so easy to reach by either email or phone (just schedule it by email). We can confidently say we feel supported by the weddingwire team and feel that its a great outlet for our clients to leave reviews and new clients to learn about our services.
I went with WeddingWire because of it's social media marketing to the bridal clientele. My ad with them keeps me in front of those looking for a professional vendor. The staff at WeddingWire keep in contact with their customers to increase their visibility with prospective clients. Like with anything in life if you want something out of it you have to work at it. It will not land in your lap as far as business. WeddingWire gives you the tools to make it happen. There are a couple things that need to be worked on and that is legitimate clients that come through their portal. I know that they are addressing this and that it is a not an overnight fix. Overall I'm very happy with my advertisement with my fellow professional competitors.

I was paying $650/month for a DJ spotlight. I got my analytics after the first month and saw that my profile was only exposed to 73 people (see photo). There were only 2 inquiries and no bookings. For $100, you can purchase facebook advertising and get exposed to thousands!
On the 2nd page of WeddingWire Terms of Purchase under Termination, find the paragraph that begins with "WeddingWire may terminate this Agreement..." (See photo) The second sentence states "WeddingWire may terminate this Agreement, with such termination to be effective on 5 days notice, if the Customer provides products or services that are competitive to WeddingWire or its affiliates." Just tell WeddingWire you are getting better leads using facebook advertising or Wedding.com.

I have been using WeddingWire as my primary source for introducing my officiant service to prospective couples for the last three (3) years. Initially, I began by using WeddingWire's free listing service. My strategy was to build a solid foundation of reviews and go from there. Eventually, my diligence paid off as I was able to accumulate 43 strong reviews in that first year.
In the second year, I felt that I should make the investment and was fortunate that there was availability for a "Featured" front page spot.
Since establishing a solid presence on that front page, the number of inquiries that I've received has been exceptional. My business has grown because of WeddingWire and the tools that I've incorporated into my protocols once I'm contacted by a couple.
Lastly, I have enjoyed an excellent working relationship with WeddingWire's Dave Berman. As my account representative he's been attentive, knowledgeable, and responsive. Quick to reply and answer all of my questions.
I highly recommend that you consider WeddingWire as a primary source for lead generation.

Also: my Customer Success Manager, Nate, is great at what he does. I've worked with him via email for a while (sending him questions when I need help) and I even got to meet with him in person when he was in my neck of the woods recently. He's quick to respond to any questions or concerns and he also encourages feedback so that he can help make WeddingWire the best it can be for vendors. As the face of WeddingWire for business owners like me, he's doing an excellent job.
Year after year WeddingWire continues to provide outstanding marketing exposure, quality leads and excellent customer service. Having been a WeddingWire client for the last seven years, as their marketing reach has grown, I've been able to eliminate costs associated with the need for other online lead generating services. And, while I don't use all the tools available, WeddingWire is able to personalize the services most important to my business.
Awesome customer service, they are really friendly and easy to communicate with when you have questions or issues.
My DJ & entertainment company started this year, and we paid for a Featured listing. So far we have received one solid lead via Wedding Wire, the others have been spam or simply window shopping. I am beginning to think it may make more sense to be listed as Featured once we have more reviews, but for a new company it might have been a premature marketing expense as we are listed right next to our competition that has hundreds of reviews. I think growing through word of mouth and accumulating reviews may be more the way to go before paying for prime ad space/a guaranteed front page listing.
Also, I can't help but note that here in Atlanta only 2 of the 4 spotlight listings are taken for DJs, and the Featured listings don't even take up the whole first page. The ONLY benefit to having your listing Featured is that you have a guaranteed spot on the first page - but apparently the non-featured listings can still end up on the first page at random (since there are slots left after all the Featured listings).
Customization is extremely limited as well. You cannot put in custom fields for the services you provide or create your own price list. The only option is to upload a PDF of your price sheet or use their default fields - which are very limiting. You also cannot re-order line items in your contracts, and many other minor UI annoyances - but they all add up!
We have been associated with Wedding Wire for exactly one month. We have had numerous inquires and have signed up 3 new weddings. This has been a wonderful experience and great value for our venue.
The Wedding Wire team have been great to work - so responsive and informative to help us get the best from our listings. Laney Rosdail in particular has been particularly supportive. We are generating great leads and hoping that will we can successfully convert them. We sent one of our sales team to the LA conference and she came back buzzing with ideas, some of which we instigated immediately. It feels like a great partnership working with the Wedding Wire team.
I agree with the other comments regarding the forum and I wish I could tell them directly (I support you and I'm sorry it happened to you - it's not okay)! Maybe it's just me as a midwesterner but dang people are mean on that forum. I posted a question and got a slew of answers that had me shaking because I felt they were harsh. I posted a different question (hoping for real help and a nice conversation with other brides) and had someone comment about the other post there. We're adults, let's act like it. I couldn't believe the attitude - it seemed more about harrasing people. I admit that I don't tolerate that well emotionally but on a forum that is for brides that are excited for help and community - it felt very brutal and unnescessary. I tried to make up for it a bit by going and posting friendly comments on others because I fear what other brides could be getting on their posts.
I am a wedding photographer on Wedding Wire and recently encountered a problem related to posting reviews on my Storefront. Wedding Wire customer service responded within 1 working day and resolved the issue quickly. I highly recommend their customer service.
