Major rip-off

Trying to order $44 worth of goods and they want me to pay $31 worth of shipping! Are you serious? This is a major rip-off. They want you to pay $99 a month to get free shipping. The customer service is horrible the shipments take forever and I'm a small business owner so I don't order huge shipment. I ordered one case of cannoli shells and it took them 2 weeks to ship them one state away. Now I'm trying to place an order for $45 worth of other consumables and they want $31 in shipping. Better off buying from a grocery store! This company is horrible and I don't know how they got good ratings on Google reviews unless they paid people to make the ratings because everything I read about them is negative

Ordered a BRAND NEW Beverage-Air BB48HC-1-GS-PT-B 48" Black Pass-Through Back Bar Refrigerator with Sliding Glass Doors - 115V * (item #185B48GSBPTH). For almost $3700. Unit delivered was obviously in a refurbished condition with scratches, extra screw holes, and PARTS MISSING (see photo). On top of that, after three service calls to replace MISSING parts and tune the controls, it still doesn't work, WebstaurantStore refused to pick up this used lemon and deliver a new one. Customer Service kept referring it to Beveage Aire who lied about the history of this particular unit (serial number). Borderline Scam and an incredible hassle. Luckily I documented with photographs and paid with a credit card, so had the CC company rescind the charge.

Tricky business practice of "ships free with plus", then you find out "plus" is $99 a month. Why would any pay $99 a month for "free shipping"?

We ordered work tables in July which was paid for immediately at the time of purchase. We received the typical confirmation email & a shipping email that it would arrive August 1,2018. The 1st came and went. August 2 another email stating estimated ship would be August 3rd. We sent an email August 10th and the reply was an estimated August 16th. August 16th next reply was should receive tracking # on August 17th no later than 4pm. Next response was tables would ship Monday August 20th. No response on 20th so we emailed them to cancel the order and issue a refund. Next reply was shipping August 22. We went to the website to get phone #. Nothing had to wait for their online chat to load in the middle of my business to get a # from the rep that came online after it finally loaded. Spoke to rep on the phone who was extremely unhelpful and very rude... still no tables & no refund had no supervisor available... will never purchase from this company and will list this info on every social media and local businesses here and my business contacts across the states. Do not throw your money away with this company that rips off the small businesses. If there was an option for no stars, I would be all about it. It was extremely hard for me to even push the one star.

About Time

After Clark shipped my replacement parts to the wrong company, they were destroyed in shipping leaving them two choices, make me wait another two weeks or replace the unit. Finally the decision was made to replace the unit and I received it rather quickly. ( 8/17)
The freezer temp rises very quickly when the door is opened and takes over 30 minutes to reach a below freezing temp. I have several avantco cold units that work great and would recommend the refrigerated units. With this being my first experience with the freezer units from avantco I would say to pay the additional few hundred and get a higher quality freezer unit.

Everything said here I have had similar experiences. There seems to be a broken process somewhere that needs looking in to.
My brand new unit has been broke down three weeks. They put repairs out for acceptance, you have to wait for a company to accept your repair, hope it is not a heating cooling repair in the middle of summer where companies are booked out weeks in advance, hope they don't have to order parts, wait for them to come in, and then wait again for the same company to fit you into their busy schedule.
My Advantco stand up freezer lasted less than a week before the condenser sprung a leak and product started thawing out, failed, and ran my brand new compressor completely out of charge while still running.
If you know anything about heating and cooling, you know that running a compressor while out out refrigerant can cause multiple other issues.
Now I have to wait out the process. Let them replace the failed parts while they hope the compressor will limp until its out of warranty. Not to mention this is a key piece on my main line.
My frustration is that the overall toll this has taken on my establishment including but not limited to, increased ticket times, affect on the staff's morale, a loss of $300 in product due to thawing, and all this directly affects the customers experience and the overall bottom line. I will never have the brand new freezer I paid for and yet in still three weeks later my freezer is still inoperable. All Sarah could tell me today is to call back tomorrow because csg had no tracking information on the parts that have been sent, (if they have been sent). The urgency factor is lackluster at best. I am highly considering scrapping this unit and purchasing here local as not to end up like Mario S. In an earlier review I read.
Good place to buy small wares, if purchasing large items I recommend auctions or buying local as I will do with the rest of my operations, seems you are taking the same risks at auction.

Bought a walk in cooler through Webstaurant and on of the connectors was the wrong size and they did not care and told me to call Norlake. They showed no concern for one of their suppliers selling me a poor product.

Norlake was even worse because they talked to me like there products could never have a problem and that my installer (who has 25 years experience) must have made a mistake. I even showed the pictures but they just ignore me.

NEVER BUY A NORLAKE PRODUCT.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER.
MY PRODUCT ARRIVED DAMAGE, I SEND THEM PICTURES AND CONTACTED THE STORE, THEY SAID BECAUSE I DIDNOT REPORTED IN 5 DAYS, THEY WILL NO GET BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT.

THEIR ANSWER - THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO

THE PRODUCT STILL IN THE ORIGINAL PACKAGE, IT TOOK ME A FEW DAYS TO OPEN THE BOX BECAUSE I WAS BUILDING THE COUNTERTOP TO PUT THE FLATOP GRILL ON TOP.

Never use again

I ordered $300 worth of kitchen small wares. Everything came thrown together in one box. Was obviously packed without any care or concern for the product inside to get beaten up. I ordered a dozen potholders. When they arrived I found out that they were paperthin like washcloths. Many of the other items in my small world war were inferior quality. Their customer no-service (?) didn't want to do anything without photographs to back up my dissatisfaction. Really. If you're looking for cheap quality crap shipped without care, then these are your guys. BTW, they charged almost $60 shipping on a $300 order.

My company purchased a dispenser for our bathroom. On WebstaurantStore's website, the description said that the item would arrive calibrated for the "Free" option but would be able to be converted to any coin denomination in the field without any additional equipment. When we got the item, this was not the case. It did not come with a coin box and the bezel assembly did not come with coin return push buttons. I called customer service several times and everyone I spoke with agreed that the website description was misleading. They then said they needed to check with the manufacturer and get back to me. When they got back to me, they said they were unable to send us a new product or give us a refund for this issue. Bottom line: horrible customer service, misleading information on their website. I would not order from them again!

Never shop here

I bought a commercial refrigerator that came damaged so I had to refuse the delivery. I notified them immediately so that my replacement could hurry up and ship as I desperately needed it! They assured me it would ship the following day. Now it has been 10 days and my replacement still has not shipped yet each day they tell me they will expedite it. The worst customer service EVER!

Horrible product!

I bought the chafer wick fuel and it is IMPOSSIBLE TO OPEN! They screw the cap on so tightly it is really impossible to open and customer service says to use a jar grip. No help whats so ever with this useless product.

Jake, I am sorry that the lid of the chafer wick fuel was on tightly and unable to be opened. The twist tops, while they can be challenging to get off, do prevent any spillage and allow for safer storage. We do carry alternate options with pull tabs such as the Sterno Products 10115 4 Hour Hot Spot SuperWick Chafing Fuel. Order from them at your own risk. Items are not correct and you can't return it without having to pay them half of what you spent. They a joke and should be taken off the internet.

The reason we charge a restocking fee is because we want to continue to keep prices as low as possible for you. When an item is returned, there are additional costs associated with processing the return. Companies that do not charge restocking fees pass the costs of their Returns Department onto their customers through higher priced items. Instead of raising our prices and charging every customer for frivolous returns costs, we only charge a restocking fee for items that are a standard return. However, if a mistake was made on our end (i. E. the incorrect item was sent to you), we would not charge a restocking fee. Trying to return an item you buy here is like a police interrogation. They refused to let me return my item that was damaged because I would not send them pictures proving the damage. Horrible horrible customer service.

Bought an Avanco sandwich refrigerator for my restaurant in November 2017, keeps breaking down, can not hold temperature, under warranty for a year, they tried to fix it 3 times with different technicians but failed, can not operate without it, had to buy another brand and they are refusing to refund my purchase. Was told by one of their chosen technicians that this particular Avanco model has many problems in many other restaurants and there was nothing he could do and when I informed them of this statement Tammy of Clarks Service Group for the Avanco refrigerators said that they will stop using this specific technician, what a joke! They will not stand behind the products they sell you. I am opening another similar restaurant and WILL NEVER again purchase any restaurant equipment from WebstaurantStore. Please be aware before giving them your business

Marios, thank you for your review. I am sorry this has been a negative experience. Avantco is a great economy line, listed at an extremely low price compared to the industry standards. At times, it does not have the longevity of the higher end restaurant equipment. Avantco is well known by and used for many startup companies who want to find something much more affordable that can do the same job as a higher end model. I understand that this product is essential to the productivity in your restaurant and CSG and their technicians understand that all repairs are urgent and they work as quickly as they can to get all service calls resolved. Your patience is greatly appreciated and we recommend keeping in touch with them and the technicians for updates on the status of your service inquiry. I was also able to locate your order and saw you are working with Annie who is making this one of her top priorities.

After numerous purchases of Bar/Restaurant equipment I have had issues that this business chooses to ignore and because they won't publish a phone number to reach customer service. I ordered 7 patio tables and 40 matching chairs. 6 chairs were damaged upon delivery and noted in writing by the shipper upon delivery. No replacements or communication has been received to-date. I then ordered a stainless 3-Basin sink at a cost of over $600 with 3 strainer baskets included for our installation. These sink "drain-parts" were so cheaply manufactured they could not be used due to defects in each of the 3. I had to delay the installation while I went out and purchased 3 replacement strainer baskets. The best on the market sell for less than $15 each and I found the $10 basket to be of high quality. I think this Company unnecessarily cut their costs at my (the long-term customer) expense. SO BUYER BEWARE! And, I want the Chairs that I paid for!

I've been purchasing from this store since January. At first, all was good. Prices are low, shipping was fast and secure. The last two months have changed dramatically. Box after box was coming with severely damaged glasses which was causing scratches on those that arrived not broken. The first time they replaced the box. A month later when it happened again, customer service said they would only credit for the four broken glasses even though the other 32 in the box are all scratched. There was virtually no (and I mean no) packing material in the box to prevent damage.

Their response from Rita at customer service on this issue..."we do our best to package items is a secure and economical way, which does exclude additional packing material." Furthermore their advice "you may be better suited to purchase locally to avoid transit damage, and be able to control the transportation of the glasses, to ensure you are receiving glasses in pristine condition. "

So a company that does all their business shipping to customers says don't buy from us if you actually expect your products to arrive in good condition. Well that sounds reasonable!

I paid for an ice machine that was supposed to have shipped within four hours of paying for it. Days later I got an email saying that they could not ship it to a residential address. I explain to them that I receive online orders for my commercial business, at the official and legal mailing address for my business, which is my home. They stated they needed the name and address where it will be installed, or they would not ship it to me. I asked that they either ship it to the mailing address for my business or immediately refund the money. Ive been telling them this for days, they finally said theyre going to refund my money, and its going to be 24 to 48 hours before I get it back.

What they dont realize that I needed it to ship within four hours of purchasing it like they advertised. Now Im without an ice machine, and without my money. This is what happens when you do business with them. I would not do business with them if you really need what youre ordering.
