Very shady company

This company charges insane shipping costs and does not refund if they don't deliver. I have an order that has been pushed back for several weeks now with no end in sight. When i asked Webstaurant for a refund they informed me that they "don't do refunds". This company is very bad. Use at your own risk. Amazon is much easier.

Do not buy any materials. Most of materials are too low quality and junk to use them. And they never accept to return them with unreasonable response. Please do not waste money.

Ordered various items over my 20 year tenure at my job. Recently ordered a small batch of mints. Some back and forth with production that I was able to work through, delivered, people loved them. Then went to reorder but wanted to change up the mint, keep the wrapper design. Company would not do that, wanted to charge all new setup fees so I designed new wrapper. They added the charges, I agreed. Time passes and then I am contacted that wrapper is not available with the mints. I negotiate to lower the price down from the upcharge of the new wrapper choice, but still have to pay for setup etc...same wrapper as previous ordered. Lots of wasted time in communication and the money budgeted I was trying to spend from lapsed due to their accounting system and fell into another FY budget cycle.

Boxes finally arrive all beat up, holes in them, tape missing but the individual cases seem intact. I use all old product first, then go to open one of the new cases and every handful I pull up has empty wrappers. I immediately contact company, send pictures and they want me now to open all the cases, count the empty wrappers. That would be a waste of my time at this point so I will just go through the wrappers as I need to break the seal on the case. This was a $550+ order in just candy. Perhaps, I can save all the wrappers and at the end of use of what was ordered, I can refer back to their email and return the exact number of empty wrappers, filled with air.

Found at my door with busted open box and mud on the table. Absolutely no packing to protect table. Just a cardboard box for a very heavy item. Scratched and dented. Legs were out of there protective sleeves for some reason. "I don't care packaging" and a "I don't care shipper" equals terrible product delivery. Won't buy from again!

I'm sorry that originally I wrote a negative post. It was due to frustration of receiving a damaged unit, which shouldn't reflect negatively on your shop.

I purchased over $800.00 of shelving unit. When it arrived it wasn't the product that was shown on their website. After several emails and phone conversations they agreed that the product was not "as shown" and issued me return labels. The shelving unit was received back in their warehouse on May 22,2023. I watched my credit card for the refund for several weeks and did not see it. I contacted them several times and I got ever excuse possible. In the meantime I paid my credit card off all except the refunded amount they owed me. I received my current credit card statement which did not only show their charge still on it but an addition $60.00 of interest. I contacted them immediately to see if they would pay the interest rate. They denied my request. If they had processed the refund back in May when they received the merchandise I would not have been hit with an interest charge. Between the issues of trying to return the product and the lengthy time for the refund I would never order from this company again!

We use Webstaurant to stock everything for our cafe. At the end of the day they have the lowest prices of certain items, even when you include their ridiculous shipping fees which could cost up to +30% of your order in most of our cases. I'm currently willing to pay more for a different service because Webstaurant is so unreliable. We ordered 3 boxes of iced drink cups an, even though it says "arrives in 2-5 business days," it took almost 4 weeks to receive our products. We had to postpone our grand opening because of this. Even after I called and received help from a rep, it took 2 weeks after that to actually get our cups. Delayed, cancelled, or missing items are extremely common and occur almost every time we order. If you're a small business, I'd recommend finding another service for your inventory. We don't have a Starbucks-level inventory and ordering items 4 weeks ahead of time is impractical.

We purchased a Bunn coffee grinder for our office, When we received it, we plugged it in and it immediately shorted out. It never worked from the beginning. We called their customer service department and they refused to accept a return, but instead referred us to the manufacturer to make a warranty claim. This was a defective product they sold to us that NEVER worked. We were trying to grind coffee not to have a logistical project. When we tried to dispute it with AMEX, Webstaurant Store brought out their small print and defeated the chargeback attempt. So now we are stuck with a non-working $900 grinder that is an electrical hazard. They say that they are a distributor so they are not responsible for if the items they sell function or not. Think twice before buying from here.
They pretend to be helpful on their responses to bad reviews on here, but when you call them, they tell you there is nothing they can do and you are stuck with a very expensive non-working item.

Absolutely gouged.

Independent small business should not order from Webstaurant - if you need 1 sink or appliance (anything heavy) go to Amazon (which I did and it came in 2 days at no cost ship) or anywhere else.
Case in point: I bought 1 appliance 6/7 of $925 includes tax and ship. B/C I was advised that it would arrive 6/15 for my reopening 6/20. It didn't and it was delayed without notification at every turn. There was no estimated delivery date until it arrived at final carrier station 6/21. Suffice, I've started return and will be refunded after all their shipping cost out and back and restocking fees, $287 out of 925. So be warned, single heavy item purchases for small businesses -- RUN. OH and expect a ton of 'how are we doing/' automated emails from Webstaurant while you're chasing your order, which updates are scant and lost in this hodge podge of automated messages. Just a nightmare.

Was so excited to find turkey hill raspberry tea! Placed order but they didn't show shipping cost until AFTER order was placed.
It was more than the order! Tried to cancel but they wouldn't let me!
This company is horrible and should be ashamed of themselves!

Everything about this site is a rip off

Long story short of you want a site with arbitrary rules to every thing so they can rip you off while trying to claim they are saving you money, THIS IS YOUR SITE. If not I would probably purchase from a more reputable and local source. They claim they sell at wholesale prices (but only if you buy in bulk of 6 or more for most products). They tell you on the sites refund policy business 20% residential 30% restocking fee. What they don't tell you is if you operate your business out of your home and have it registered as your business address, they still charge residential restoke fees and under no circumstances will they change that. I was told the restock fee was based on where they had to deliver. Why? I paid the shipping that makes no sense. It was also based on where it was coming back from on the shipping label residential or commercial. Once again, why? I'M PAYING THE SHIPPING. What does my delivery address have to do with your RESTOCK FEE. I made a business purchase. I knew the restock fees in advance and was willing to pay it for MY BUSINESS PURCHASE. A company that will screw you for 10% once will screw you out of even more if you let them.

If you need something sooner than later, don't order from Webstraunt. I ordered a commercial drink refrigerator and it is taking 2 weeks to receive it. Although it says ships within one day that doesn't mean you will be getting it any time soon.

First and last time ordering from these CLOWNS
Ordered 3 different sized skillets
Received them in a single cardboard box with ZERO Packaging material
I didn't want to open the box after hearing the clatter coming from inside
Now I'm stuck with 3 scratched skillets which I might as well keep cause by the looks of the return policy I'd be losing money returning them for restocking fees

We are a volunteer rescue squad in Tennessee and bought a table top deepfryer from them it wouldn't work we had a company come out and fix it for us. Since we put the line on ourself it violated the warranty for screwing the line on and tighten it up. They said we should have got a company to do it for us.Will never buy from them again a rip off.
