Do not under any circumstances use this service when there are better providers out there. Especially for WordPress, they are trash. Their service and support are both garbage, I would not recommend this provider to my worst enemy. They will nickel and dime you for services others provide for free, stay away! Also, their chat support is full of Bots and canned AI responses, not great for tech support.
Since web.com took over for dotster.com it has been a nightmare to register and renew domains from having to pick from a list of domains with the same credit card to select a payment method to the never ending offers. Planning on taking my business elsewhere is things done improvee.
My domain "transferred" from mydomain.com, is still not properly transferred, and I have still not access to make any changes - I seriously suspect that web.com does not have the willingness nor skills to correct the error they have made.
The ease of use of the website is very low. Moving and sizing things take way more times than it does on other platforms. It's almost like they made the UI an inconvenience to use so you'll pay for the website development service.
My domain was not on this website, and now it appears to be handled by you. I have no idea why I also had two domains, one that I did not ask, (an.online), and now it seems my website is not secure and I cannot use it. It also seems also that to make it safe I have to pay lots of money. There is no place to fin information on how to fix these issues and I need to help to a friend.
You limit of password length to 16 characters is INSUFFICIENT in today's world for something as important as domain management. I am a Dotster customer coming over, and this is a significant downgrade!
I received a good price from them for my website, and now I know why. I had an issue getting my site registered with Google's search engine. I called web.com's tech support for help and was told if I wanted to register my website with any search engines I would have to but another service from them at a monthly cost MUCH higher then the website. So basically they sold me a car with no engine. If I were you, I'd find a reputable company to do business with. Unfortunately I paid 2 years in advance for a website I can't do anything with. It's sad that the law let's companies get away with ripping people off.
Unable to transfer a domain I have on web.com to another person who has web.com account. The instructions say he has to request the transfer but there isn't any place to do it. On my side I can only change the ownership but they will still be under my main login. I want to fully transfer this domain to another person.
I wanted to access my account to check something quickly. What followed was two different authentication codes sent to my email that I had to wait for. Then a popup to dismiss. Then this rating popup.
I've been at this for almost 10 minutes now and I just wanted to check something on my account. Not even there yet.
Stop popping this up- when im editing it keeps popping up with an error and booting me back to the home page, without saving my work
Verify email most times at login? But I can skip it. Continued use of "steptoquit". View in web from File Manage still not working. File Manager not remembering sort, Undo info and sometimes not even directory I was working in. Etc.
I have a domain somegaveitall.com that was on Dobster but Web.com acquired my account. The website was built with WORD PRESS and now the domain is not live on the internet and I've spent hours and numerous times talking to tech people and they can't fix the error connecting to database. I was told to get hire a tech design person to fix it. I am so angry that my website has been down since web,com bought them. I am told that WEB.COM does not use WORD PRESS so I am left without having my site online. I have 3 domains that were brought over from Dobster. One of others didn;t work until I paid for a security certificate. So far this sucks and I am looking to move my accounts to somewhere else.
I have been waiting to have my business email restored for more than a month, and it was the changeover that caused the issue. I was told by chat that it would be resolved within 48 hours. That was early April. I want Dotster back.
On Monday I requested an auth code to transfer a domain to another party. Have not received the auth code yet, and it is Thursday. No acknowledgement of my request. This is bad business practce and makes me want to move the rest of my domains.
Moved from Dotster, my old login didn't work so had to get a new login (which to be fair was dealt with well). Have found your website to be confusing and awkward, with seemingly obvious functionality hidden. For some reason I have 4 separate accounts with you at this time. I also find your prices higher than is fair.
While browsing for website developers, it is my good fortune to discover and work with Web.com. My new website is personal, not a company, with the challenge of integrating 3 very different topics. My technical experience is limited, so I had to ask a lot of questions and the support was in real time and professional. Each phone call was answered promptly and passed to qualified specialists to resolve the issue. My concerns were listened to as one-to-one conversations, sometimes lengthy. The final result is my personal e-commerce website with reports and e-books; and, I'm excited to continue using their marketing expertise. Wish to thank all the agents and modification experts for helping to make a dream come true.
The smooth talking salesmen suck you in at one price, then you end up paying a different price - all for a website that looks like it belongs in 1994. I just switched to SetMySite and had them build me a new site. Night and day. Web.com is SNAKE OIL. Don't fall for it. Look at all the reviews on other sites throughout the web before you fork over the credit card.

MyDomain was bought out by Web.com and the transition has not been smooth. Now the SSL does not work with our website www.littlemousethemouse.com. Plus, I'm still missing our domain littlemouse.net. It hasn't been brought over. Now I see that it's for sale?
web.com is super broken compared to dotster. All my domains got split into 45 accounts I need to merge, I can't get the reports I used to have on dotster and getting invoices is a major pain in the $#*!. I'm migrating out of there the first chance I get.
Answer: We are located in Australia and trying to make contact is virtually impossible. They don't respond to emails, Calling them is an expensive international phone call, The time zone is completely different so I had to call at some ungodly hour of the morning, they are not friendly and find dealing with customers a big pain. They offer no real value and have no idea of what customer service is.
Answer: I had to ring my credit card company and get them to stop the payment
