I have been a Doster customer for 20 years and the Web.com interface is horrible. Also, you now charge for domain forwarding which was always free.
It remains free with Go Daddy, and I'm taking my business there.
After Web.com bought MyDomain and all my domains moved across to Web.com, there was no way to manage my email forwarding without using the Web.com email service. I was also charged incorrectly for two domains that were transferred to another owner last year. After several chats and promises of a refund, I'm still waiting for it. I have now moved my remaining domains to another, and cheaper, hosting platform that provides free email forwarding. Most disappointing indeed.
Exceptional service easy to navigate easy to use AI i enjoyed the zoom call
Help is available 24/7. The site design is 9 out of 10. I have been with another web designer, and Web.com is more user friendly. I would like to see availability for my email on the left side menu when I first sign in.
My website has been down for 4 weeks. I've contacted web.com over 30 times without any solution. I only get the "our engineers are working on it",. "we're sorry"..."thank you for your patience" system generated email but no solutions. Yet they want me to continue to renew or pay for services not rendered!
The reason I am disappointed is because the prices increased and the service package size and options decreased. How is that fair. You've charged me 3 times what I am used to paying and all of the thing I used to have available in my active accounts I'm now being charged for them or they are removed. These are sties that are years old not new. They shouldn't be managed this way. You can lose loyal customers who would spend more doing this greedy disservice. It's criminal business practice. Just because it is common practice doesn't make it right
It seems like you are purposely not sending me the domain transfer code. And your renewal prices are ridiculous, which further leads me to believe this is intentional, so I am forced to keep my domains on here.
You website is too aggressive in pushing optional services. Also, I keep getting a nag notification (reminder) that one of my domains is about to expire, but it has already been renewed.
Cancel my hosting package. It seems there is no one smart enough in your company to configure my website. I have been trying for at least 5 days. Even your so-called "level 2" never contacted me after 3 days.
Autoreview notification failed. Sucks not finding out the domain required review until after it's expired.
I've been a mydomain.com for well over 10 years. I have my domain ONLY for email redirection, which vanished after the merger with web.com. Unless mail redirection is put back I won't be renewing my domains
I've had nothing but trouble with my website from not being able to update it without your intervention. And now I can't even find it on your site to update it (something happened with the conversion to web.com) and a security certificate is not updated, so my website is down
I can't access my marketing with Constant Contact. I am paying them and I can't cancel or do any email marketing.Web.com took over for Dotster. It has been a MONTH, no one has contacted me or helped me resolve this issue
Worst experience I've ever had with my service. Transition fro mydomain.com to web.com has had nothing but problems. Again today I can not access my email so business is at a stand still.
Tech support is very poor, never get the same answer and chat takes forever. On top of all this my cost to register my domains has gone up.
I have too many domains and web sites with you to switch service so I trapped in a very bad situation.
JUST HAD A CONVERSATION WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE REP (MALE) THAT HAD A NASTY ATTITUDE AND VERY AGGRESSIVE TONE! ASKED TO SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR AND HE TOLD ME NO ONE WAS AVAILABLE, AS BIG AS WEB.COM IS NO SUPS AVAIABLE? SMH!
Took 2 weeks to xfr my domain. Then emails don't work on my phone or computer. Then they want to send u to a paid service to get customer service…. Never in 20 yrs of having a domain have i ever seen this kind of hosting! Stay away!
If dotster was bad, web.com is worse. So much trouble to simply log in every time, especially as a manager for a client who doesn't have access to her personal email. Chat service is quite bad as well, compared to other sites. I'm trying my best to leave this service permanently, but it's difficult to even extract myself. Right now I'm dealing with cancelling web hosting and domain renewal that I cancelled last year through dotster. If my client hadn't noticed, she would have been charged hundreds of dollars for something that we both thought was taken care of. This is just one of many issues.
When dotster merged with web.com, I've had nothing but issues with every one of my services. Though eventually several things were resolved, (after 29 days of things not working) the big one. As in not being able to receive emails has not been resolved. Currently I am at day 41 of not being able to receive emails. Several tickets, calls, etc. my patience is at it's end.
Answer: We are located in Australia and trying to make contact is virtually impossible. They don't respond to emails, Calling them is an expensive international phone call, The time zone is completely different so I had to call at some ungodly hour of the morning, they are not friendly and find dealing with customers a big pain. They offer no real value and have no idea of what customer service is.
Answer: I had to ring my credit card company and get them to stop the payment
