The company has garnered significant negative feedback, primarily centered around poor customer service and product quality issues. Many customers reported difficulties with returns, long wait times for support, and unfulfilled orders, leading to frustrations over service delays. Additionally, there are concerns regarding the integrity of pricing and product descriptions. Conversely, a few reviews highlighted positive aspects, such as a wide selection of products and user-friendly purchasing processes. Overall, the prevailing sentiment reflects dissatisfaction, with calls for improved customer support and accountability in handling orders and returns.

I ordered two dressers that required assembly from Wayfair, and because I cannot assemble them at this time, I paid for Angi.com to provide an assembler. The day after the dressers arrived, an assembler arrived at 3:00 p.m. Telling me he had never assembled a dresser before, he worked for two and a half hours and botched the first dresser so badly that the drawers won't even close. He said he would return the next morning at 10:00, and I waited for two hours. He never showed up. When I called Wayfair, I was told that it doesn't stand behind some of the products it sells, including this brand, and said I need to get in touch with Angi to take care of the mess. The representative at Angi said it would only refund the cost of its service (since he couldn't do the job and didn't show up as he said he would) after they received an email from Wayfair providing verification I had bought the dressers and paid for Angi's service (up to six weeks after the refund process begins) but that Wayfair is responsible for the damaged, dysfunctional dresser. Wayfair then responded that it is Angi's responsibility, not theirs, and I am stuck with it. Neither business accepted any responsibility for its products or services. Because the dressers were to be a matched set, I had the unopened one returned to Wayfair, which charged me $58 for the return. Now I am stuck with a dresser that is unusable and am out the cost of one dresser and a delivery fee. I have had unsuccessful shopping experiences in the past but none as bad as dealing simultaneously with one company that clearly doesn't screen its employees and another that doesn't stand behind the products it sells. It was an expensive lesson learned: never deal with either company again. Let the buyer beware.
I've purchased a lot from Wayfair since 2020 thru 2023 I put two items in my cart in 6 hours the price went up dramatically What's the point of using a cart Other companies would look hold the price.I called customer service "sorry " was all I got
I would never recommend buying a sofa from Wayfair. Before ordering both couches I was given an arrival date (end of May) before ordering but then within a week or two, the delivery date was changed to 6 weeks later (beginning of July). I use these items for my business and can't afford to wait an extra 6 weeks but I was told with both I can't cancel, can't return until after they ship, and I will have to pay return shipping. It feels so very wrong that Wayfair can change the delivery date at will and I am just at their mercy as to when I receive the item. Amazon might not have as many options but I get my item when I'm told I will and, if not, I can cancel easily.
I wish I had read the reviews of Wayfair and the awful customer service. I ordered and was charged for my purchase, given a shipping date of June 5-9th...then specifically a delivery of June 7...then I was told it was back ordered? Then told July shipment date of the third.then delivery on the 5th...now the 7th...no confidence, they clearly lye...I have read hundreds of reviews...all say same thing they are the worst.had I known how awful Wayfair is I would never have done any business with them.DO NOT GET SUCKED IN...THEY ARE AWFUL!
Wayfair has wasted so much time and money! Do not order from here. I put a large order in of a rug, dresser, and couch. The dresser was missing parts and the couch never showed up for weeks even though it said it would be here within 2 days. The customer service never apologized and sent no apology refunds. Turns out after speaking to multiple respresentatives and multiple missed delivery days the couch was on back order for 6 months. I was the one continuously reaching out. Still no apology, coupons, and the refund took 7 days after I cancelled. What a nightmare!
Awful. Bought the insurance for a sofa and it wasn't honored. The couch fell apart. They sent a replacement and guess what? That one fell apart as well - I bought the insurance and that didn't help. They told me to call Allstate? I'll never buy anything else from them. Filed a BBB complaint. I'll do a part 2 of this complaint if they don't make it right.
Was I talking to a robot? I was outside of the return window by a few days and was unable to return a completely unused and unopened item. I understand there is a policy, so I offered to mail it back myself and receive store credit. I order a pack of peek-and-stick tile and ever ended up using it during a remodel and it's not enough to really use unless you buy more of it. Seems like a total waste, when they could just take it back and sell it. And still have my money as I was happy taking on the shipping cost and taking store credit. The chat just kept repeating the same response to me over and over. For such a large corporation they should do better...
Wayfair has reached our to me and let me purchase a new chair at the open-box price. However this was only after my reviews proved to get a lot of views. If you want customer service write a well worded review calling them out. Truly a bad company.
My wife and I are expecting our first baby in Dec. We have been saving for a rocking chair that my wife wants for our nursery. We found the chair on sale on Black Friday for a good price and so we ordered it instead of getting it at the local furniture store that also had a sale. Today Wayfair canceled my order and said my refund will be 3-5 business days. Now we have missed all the sales and while the chair is still available in another color they say I have to pay full price. I also talked to a manager who was not helpful at all. Very disappointing, they did nothing to make this right. To top it all off, the brand was Mercury Row which is owned by Wayfair.
Wayfair uses FedEx because they are cheap & with that comes a BAD reputation. Left a very heavy recliner on my driveway 30' from my stairs to my house. I am very up in years could NOT move it an inch. My brother just happened to drive up to borrow my truck and he managed to get it in my house with my help. Wayfair has a bad customer relation at bare 1 %. Pay extra - find another company - it's not worth the money you might save.
This is my second experience with wayfair and both the experiences are disappointing, I bought two side tables before: I have had Quality issues but I convince myself cuz they were not too expensive either.
This time I just placed the order and Wayfair dropped the price of the item next day and deny to match the price. Customer service was not helpful either.
Would never recommend to anyone.
Customer service was polite but resolution was terrible. I overpaid for a cheaply made item that chipped within 30 days. I did upload photos to wayfair to prove item was damaged. The resolution was terrible and not to my liking especially since i over paid for the item. My only other option was to dissemble the item and return it which was a huge inconvenience to me, the customer. I will never order from wayfair again and am going to recommend to my friends and family that they don't either.
The last couple transactions I attempted to do, Michelle a "supervisor" not helpful or caring. Don't attempt to try to return received damaged item. Then Wait over 2 months for an outdoor umbrella, seen text l"ost in shipment refund sent" From one of Best to THE 1 star WORST company to buy from.
One year ago I ordered a bed frame from Wayfair. It looks cheap, poorly made, and arrived damaged. Whatever, I thought, it's Wayfair. What do you expect. That's not why I'm writing this review. On June 6th of this year, my account was hacked and an order was placed for a bed frame that charged my credit card $420. Within ONE HOUR of that order being placed, I chatted with a rep online who submitted the order to be reviewed for fraud. Another hour later, I get an email saying the cancellation is "pending." Great, that's taken care of. Today, June 8th, I get a shipping confirmation that says my lovely hacker friend will receive his bed frame tomorrow, the 9th (gotta love that fast shipping!). I subsequently get an email saying my order could not be cancelled because an item has already shipped. I wish I had a chance to apologize to the poor customer service rep I got on the phone just now, because I was probably a little too angry with her. She confirmed that the order was flagged as fraudulent and yet, a whole two days after the fact, the order was sent on its merry way to Panama City Beach and my cancellation was denied. According to her, the warehouse is unable to see which orders are fraudulent, and now I just have to dispute it on my credit card. Which you know what, fine. Easy enough. But the fact that this company gives so little regard for fraud really tells you everything you need to know about them.
They have a ridiculous shipping policy that makes you wait for three days before you can request them to resend missing items. The status of my order clearly shows that one item was never shipped out, but the customer service person just rudely repeated whatever she was saying when I tried to politely explain to her the situation. The resend shipping takes even longer than the original shipping. And all of this is without any compensation while I'm losing money for this delay.
We recently ordered a $1200 patio set from Wayfair which was a lot of money for my wife and I to spend. She is turning 50 so we thought we would put a nice patio set on our deck and have a BBQ with friends and family. Her birthday is this weekend and Wayfair has been a COMPLETE NIGHTMARE to work with. Literally every box that showed up for the patio set was either missing the hardware or was boxed up with the incorrect hardware. We paid to have a contractor from Wayfair come out and assemble it when it all showed up and he could not because of all the missing hardware so not one piece was able to be put together. Now we have been waiting on Wayfair to ship the hardware that was missing out of all the boxes and they are telling us it might be here Thursday. When we called customer service to reschedule our install they refuse to reschedule it. They told my wife on the phone they were unwilling to do so even though she went through the entire painstaking experience with two customer service agents on the telephone. When she asked to be transferred to a manager, she was told Wayfair does not have any managers who are customer facing and speak with customers. Long story short, we have have a BBQ scheduled this weekend for a big birthday and no real chance of having furniture that is put together. One of the extremely rude customer service agents big idea to rectify things is for us to call around to some of the work sites like Angie's List, etc and try and find someone but basically said no longer their problem. If you buy from Wayfair you are making a HUGE mistake, buy anywhere else but do not waste your money on these guys as customers are not important to them at all.
Would give zero if an option. Product was "in stock" and to be delivered same week. Took payment never shipped product. Called and was told their website was inaccurate and product would ship in a couple weeks. Cancelled order. Waited two weeks for money to be refunded, had to call AGAIN and was told cancellation was never processed. What a sh&t show...
If you purchase from Wayfair and are unhappy with your purchase, even if it is damaged, you will pay a very expensive return shipping fee.
We ordered an 11 pc patio set. It came in pieces to assemble and was too frustrating to put together. The return was terrible. We received return labels for six boxes. It took eight boxes to return (We also had to get all of this to a Fed Ex location.) I needed two more labels. This is was not rocket science. I went thru many customer service people...and finally paid 283.00 to get two boxes back to them. My last message from them was they could not find my order number...I asked about a refund on the last two boxes. No response. I have saved all of the messages back and forth to them. I will not be doing business with Wayfair again. What I do not understand is that Wayfair trucks deliver to our remote area all of the time. Why could they not pick up 8 huge boxes and make our life a little easier?
I had an issue with a previous order where I was given a coupon. The coupon expired as I did not know it had an expiry date nor was I told. So when I went to go use it on a new order I realized I couldn't. I spoke to someone from customer service and he told me he would resend me a new one within 24 hours, that never happened so I contacted someone else who then told me another 24 hours I should receive it and that never happened. Needless to say two weeks later I spoke to someone else who told me 2 to 3 days I should receive one. Again nothing, so I called, spoke to Rosa who did absolutely nothing. She told me that was an accident and they couldn't help me out so now I've waited two weeks to make a purchase for a renovation that is starting soon and I've now delayed purchasing for because I was given the runaround and told by three separate people that I would receive an updated coupon for my past previous issue. Staff needs to be properly trained and given the same information. Otherwise they should be helping their clients when issues like this arise and not ignoring them. Super frustrated that 3 separate ppl "lied" and had me waiting for nothing. And very disappointed that they didn't right that wrong.
Answer: Allison, Yes, the box that the floor lamp came in did have a picture of the lamp on it. I would ask when you order. I hope this helps. James.
Answer: No, they will take returns, but you pay fees. As for poor quality, I guess we just swallow it.
Answer: From my experience, this is company is to be avoided. Sounds like your life will be hectic enough for awhile so you don't need additional stress. Buy elsewhere is my advice.
Answer: Need to call Customer Service ( a/k/a Customer Disservice) about any issue. Expect to be disappointed, but they may honor it. Best to avoid Wayfair in the future.
Answer: Suggest calling Customer Service aka Customer disservice. A word of advice: buy elsewhere; anywhere else. This Co. Just does not care.
Answer: Obviously their mission to become popular has worked. They don't need to be a good company anymore. They will take the money and run. When the time is right, they will close up shop and reopen with a new name. It is hard to find a business with integrity anymore.
Answer: Stay away. They do not follow up to make things right concerning your order.
Answer: Call customer service (aka customer disservice). This company should be avoided. Deal with a reputable Co like Amazon or its partners, They care.
Answer: I wouldn't order anything big from Wayfair. I had to order the same product 3 times, and each time, the product was damaged. Wayfair rhymes with nightmare for a reason.
