The check are good and cheap no problem at all... I don't know what wrong with people but they are good checks and cheap can't beat it
They were the cheapest price I could find online, the ordering process was simple, free shipping, and they arrived in about a week, with no errors... However, I didn't like that the processing fee is per box and unlisted until checkout... The checks felt thinner than my banks checks and the images on the checks looked faded, most likely has to do with Walmart checks being printed on recycled paper and soy ink... You also have to be careful tearing the checks because the perforations on the checks feel very poorly done... Despite all these negatives, I would still recommend if price is your number one concern. Otherwise, you might want to look somewhere else for better quality checks
Next day shipping cost me over $20 and still no checks and they got away with it by saying there is a 5 day processing time in small print so it has been 5 days since I ordered still no checks.
These checks will not year out at all
I went thru 4 books of checks to get 10 good ones. Now I took the Staples out and a bunch of loose checks
I'll order new one from somewhere else.
I was pretty happy with the choices and the overall cost. I haven't received the checks yet. My complaint is that the processing fee isn't revealed until you've put time into entering your routing #, account #, etc. They lay out all the other costs very carefully, so it seems very deceptive to not reveal the processing fee until the end. The overall price still seems ok- just make it clear what you're charging the customer!
I Clicked an add for $7.62 Walmart Checks - Yah right-what a ripoff - can't believe Wal*Mart has their name attached to this scam. Stay Away! Bait & Switch - Free Shipping but Processing is NOT optional.
Subtotal $13.92 Shipping: INCLUDED
Processing $6.92 State Sales Tax (9.75%): $2.03 Order total:$22.87
I'm so glad I did not listen to all the bad reviews. I ordered my checks, the website was easy and simple to order from. I opted for rush delivery because I needed them quick. I ordered Friday and received them the following Wednesday. No problems or issues. And cheapest I could find price wise. Will order again but they sent me enough to last a lifetime.
Have yet to get one to tear out of the book without it ripping up. Have tried every possible thing I could think of. Bending top of the book, creasing, etc. Looks horrible when you send a check that has to be taped up and I don't know how many I've had to void.
First time I've ordered checks from Walmart. Glad I did not read all the negative reviews or I probably would not have tried them. Ordered them online at 11 am 12/29, at noon 12/30 received email stating order had shipped. Even with Jan 1 being a holiday I received 3 of 4 of my packages of checks on 1/3 and my fourth package arrived 1/7. I only had standard shipping, so was completely impressed with how fast I received them. Love the German Shepherd pictures and had no issues with any of the check info. If I paid attention to all the negative reviews of places I have ordered from online, I would probably never ordered anything. Have never been nothing but pleased with all my experiences.
Do not order from these people. They are absolutely NO help with customer service/shipping. I have all my mail forwarded due to me working out of town. It would not let me put my out of town address in so I called and they said it would be fine it'll get forwarded with the rest of my mail. When choosing shipping options, they do not tell you the carrier. I chose 2 day shipping assuming it was usps because again they do not specify. I received my shipping email on Sunday giving me a tracking, I click the link and it is through fedex. I call customer service which i came to find out is not open on weekends. I call first thing when they open Monday and I tried to tell the lady that I can not receive fedex because they do not do mail forwarding. She was rude and no help so I asked for a supervisor and she puts "supervisor" Cindy on the phone. I am almost in tears at this point because of course I do not want a box of checks sitting on my front porch for months until I get back. I explain the situation and she again was VERY rude. She says she won't change the address because it poses a fraud risk, however sitting in a crowded neighborhood out side apparently does not pose a fraud risk? I asked why it doesn't have a signature for all the money I spend on shipping (which is also free through fedex because I've used the option before) she refused to help me and had absolutely no sympathy. I will never order anything from this site or Walmart again do to this poor customer service. Very disappointing.
They charge you $6.00 after you have completed the entire process and are at the final payment page. What's the point of advertising it's cheap when they cover up the cost somewhere else. Shame on Walmart for using such tactics. Wish there was an option to pick no star for the ratings
Trying to save money, I decided to order checks from Walmart. What a disaster! I used the trackable method so I would know when checks processed, shipped, would arrive. Processed-check; shipped-check. Arrival date should be Sept. 30-never came. I called customer service. Agent was courteous and as helpful as could be but I was in a mess. My order was no where to be found. The customer service representative "thinks" my order never shipped. Even w/tracking she could not find my order. The order was processed so our bank routing and account numbers are floating around somewhere for anyone's use! I called my bank. For security and to protect our finances I had to close our account (an immediate hold was placed on my account locking out all transactions. I had to open a new account. All those direct deposits, bill pay, automatic debits had to be stopped and restarted. Immediately I unable to use my debit card. I had to go to the bank to fill out paperwork re: a new account. Saving a little money is not worth the hassle! Order checks directly from your bank! Walmart checks have let me down! Never again!
After I ordered my checks, I read all the negative reviews and was quite worried. But I am here to say I was quite pleased with my experience. For the first time ever in my life, I have Star Trek: The Original Series checks! I am thrilled and it did not cost me an arm & a leg nor were they difficult to order. I got them in one week and everything was correct. I got to choose my font for $1 and a message for another $1. If you go with the standard font and no message you will save $2 right there. The message is pretty small but I can live with that. Despite all the extras, my checks were still cheaper than the banks. The only reason they got 4 out of 5 stars is because they do not tell you any information on the status of your order. There is no contact information on the website nor do they give you any clue on how to contact them on their website so you can make sure your order has been received. (Other than they debit your acct right away.) I did notice that the debit information does include a phone number but I did not get a chance to try the numer to see if it worked. I will happily reorder from Wal-Mart, again. And will recommend them to friends and family!
The checks themselves were fine. The process to order was fine. However, there were outrageous fees tacked on, such as an order processing fee that was not optional, and an in-plant rush and insurance fees that were optional, but the system kept trying to add them after I said I wasn't interested. Where they really screw you over is shipping. I ship packages daily. There is no reason for this to cost more than $3.50 or to take longer than 3-5 days, tracking included. However, the cheapest trackable shipping offered is $6.25 for one box of checks, and the estimated delivery time is THREE WEEKS. I chose this option, and they're using some fly by night delivery system in which the package is shipped by DHL to USPS. According to the tracking, the package has sat idle in 3 different locations for 2-3 days each time, which is ridiculous. If Sam Walton were still alive he would never allow his name to be associated with such poor service.
Recently i ordered more personal checks from Wal-Mart, and when i received them a few days ago i noticed the print on my checks is faded. The location of the name and address is not centered, and the fonts used were smaller, and hard to see. This is the same with the Bank information printed on the checks.
I contacted customer service and all i got was a lesson in security management techniques.
Even more excuse about the size of the fonts used to print my name and the name of the bank.
No offer to correct my checks or even a refund.
I am done with Wal-Mart!
Stay away from this check printing company. They are bad.
Checks never received. Tracking info was a broken link. No one could locate any info on my checks other than that they were sent. Ended up closing my checking account since checks with routing info were in the wild. Big pain.
I attempted to order checks from Walmart but they insisted that I didn't know my own checking acct and bank routing numbers even after sending them copies of a check with the info on TWO separate occasions. Then they flat out lied and said that they called my credit union and that my credit union confirmed that my info was wrong.
Funny thing... I called them too and they confirmed it as correct.
Your time is too valuable to waste trying to save $5 here. Just order from somewhere that actually WANTS your business.
I had 2 batches of checks written. 1 book had the incorrect routing numbers and the other had incorrect account numbers. They wrote a bank name on the check not associated with my account. Never again will I order checks with them. Terrible customer service.
I've only used one set but I am ordering checks from another company and will shred the WM checks. No matter how carefully I try to tear the check out, it looks like I gnawed it out. And I consider it a success it I get it out without tearing. The duplicate check can hardly be read when I finally get the check out.
I don't know if WM does their own checks or another company does them for them, but I'd like to know so I can avoid them too!
The quality of Walmart checks looks like a copy of a copy of a copy. You get my point! It's very light, faded, blurred lines and not a bold print. I called customer service and spoke with Christine who shared, that's how it is! If you ask us to reprint it, it'll be the same. Conversation sounded like a usual call to her of receiving calls from NOT happy campers. I will not order checks again from Walmart. Just wish their customer service was like their store policy. Checks in the Mail and Unlimited checks are the best!
Answer: Poorly organized customer service operation. Left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Customer service reps on phone do not know how to think for themselves. Sure, they can ask you your name and phone number and tell you where to fill in your profile details, but as soon as the first roadblock hits (and THERE ARE SEVERAL) these CSR people don't know squat. They kept telling me my bank did not exist because the routing number I gave them could not be verfied with their own computer software. They were wrong... bank has been in business 45 years! At that point, and after several HOURS of additional phone calls with L-O-N-G wait times on hold, I still kept getting the same ignorant responses like "our bank department hasn't answered our messages yet." So they just leave your order stranded - in limbo - with no consideration to even attempt to investigate or give me a follow-up phone call. I paid for Walmart printed check orders 3 times in the past 7 years, so I can tell you for sure that this company is now hiring blooming idiots that are not smart enough to take ownership of specific problem and contact other people and departments in their company to help resolving the issues. Worst customer ever! So I called my bank, and was shocked to learn that if I just ordered my simple, duplicate checks (carbon copy of each) with plain safety paper and no frills designs, that it would only cost me $21 and take about 10 days to 2 weeks to send. Walmart wanted $29, which was a huge price increase since my last order which was $19.
