This company has issues with it's app on Samsung TVs. Common errors in playback, distirted video and sound, sometimes parts of the movie are unplayable. They also do not recognize proper HDCP compliant computers and require your monitor be connected to PC by HDMI, even though DVI cables are also HDCP compliant. So, my advice to Samsung TV owners is: Only buy movies from Vudu that are part of MoviesAnywhere, so you can play them with the Amazon player, and NEVER rent from them.

I bought Season 6, Sons of Anarchy. When we started to watch this there were promos and adds at the beginning of Episode 1. At the end of Episode 1 more adds, then after going all the way back to the beginning and getting on to episode 2, more adds. I ran thru the episodes and all contained adds at either beginning or end and some at both ends. I contacted VUDU customer service and requested a refund of the 19.99 for SD edition of SOA's. I was told they do not make refunds once you have watched some of the episodes. How else would I know the download contained all the adds? I am not going to pay for seasons of anything that contain adds or promos of anything. Having to go thru those at the start of a DVD is bad enough, but once past the start I am not burdened with others in the DVD's. One customer service response was that I could use fast forwad to speed through the adds and continue the stream. Duh, if I am going to have to speed through this stuff I will just record from TV and use the remote. What exactly is VUDU providing as a benefit for purchase from them? I will just go back to hard copy DVD, use a more reputable source like Amazon, who does refund if you are not satisfied, or set the old tivo to record all the wonderful tv carried adds and promos, then speed through them.
My internet connection is fine! 175 mpbps download 12 mpbs, yet VUDU can't stream for more than 15 secs without buffering. I never have these issues with Netflix.

I bought my movie at Walmart and set up my Vudu account. Although the movie was supposed to be instantly added to my account, it wasn't. I thought perhaps there was a code I needed to enter. I looked all over the inside and outside of the movie box, but found no code. Thinking the code must have been on the shrink wrap that I threw away, I contacted customer service by e-mail (the only way I found to contact them) and explained the situation. They not only asked for a copy of my receipt, they also wanted photos of the front and back of the movie box and a photo of the UPC. I gathered all that information and sent it in a reply to the e-mail.
A few days later, I received a e-mail from Vudu saying that since I hadn't responded in 96 hours, they were closing my case. What? I went to Vudu's site and found the original e-mail and my reply to it with the numerous attached photos. I sent a new e-mail asking Vudu to review my original ticket. I received a confirmation form letter saying they would respond to my e-mail promptly. That is the last I have heard from them. I am tired of trying to contact them, and I still don't have my movie on my account. I'm not going to bother with this service again.

When I first signed up with VUDU it was with my x-box 360 and the service was great I really liked the convenience of watching digital movies. 100's of movies later and lots of money and now I have buffering issues. 8-10 minutes before it shuts off the movie on my x-box1,3 min. Max on the 360 and 4-6 minutes on my computer. I told this to VUDU customer service and their response was (of course) "unplug everything for 1 min and then restart and this will fix your problem". So for the 3rd time I tried this and still had the same problem. I notified them of the lack of success and they responded by sending me a link to an x-box one site where they were looking for a fix for people not being able to buy movies. Now since I can stream movies from 5 other sites without problems then my ISP is not the problem, my equipment is not the problem, and the bandwidth is not the problem which means the problem is on their end. As for the 5 star ratings on this site, (while they may be real) I would bet they are VUDU employees. I know when my service was great I went to VUDU to tell them. Not to a business review site.

Recently tested Logan and Terminator 3 between all my streaming services. Started with Logan because I had heard someone say Apple's streaming was better. The Itunes version was much crispier, brighter and colorful than the Vudu version. I played the opening scene on Vudu, played it again on Itunes, and then back. It was not my imagination.
I tested Terminator 3. I played the opening nuke explosion on my PC on Itunes. I noticed that the explosion sound was very defined and crisp compared to what I'd heard streaming Vudu for years. It was what I remembered from the theater and playing the DVD fifteen years ago. When I went to my TV and played it on Vudu, the sound was incredibly flat and lifeless. I thought that maybe it was my headphones that created the rumbling sound effect. Nope, when I turned on Itunes and Movies Anywhere, the nuke rumbled again.
Very disappointed. Have a large library on this site, some that isn't Movies Anywhere. I'll just have to buy the movies that aren't on the other services again when they're cheap. That's a shame.

I have wasted about $1000. 00 on movies that I cannot watch. I have started using amazon prime video and other sites as well and have no problems whatsoever. Just stay away from vudu they are just taking your money.
