6 months ago I renewed my contract with vm and they put me virgin mobile too, nothing wrong till then, what happened? My sim never arrived, I went face to face in tallaght and talked with a guy from a shop and he said the account number i have doesn t exist, so they probably made a misstake and i won t be charged, till then for like 3 weeks i wasn t charged, after they started sucking from my account 20 euro every month on SOMETHING I DON T HAVE and i didn t notice, In december they even charged twice, once on 5 december and once on 15 december, so 40 euro in a month for nothing, I called them they said they can t give me a refund because they don t know if i used the sim or not, I talked with another agency and they said as an agent you can check if an sim is used or not, after i cancelled i received ANOTHER BILL, I went to the bank and they blocked virgin media so they won t take money from my account anymore, but at the bank they told me to call virgin media for a refund, and virgin media won t do anything, i lost 140 euro on air! WE ARE NOT RICH, STOP STILLING FROM PEOPLE! Not fair

Useless. NOTHING WORKS. And they will assume you're an idiot. Pages dont work. Apps dont work. Cannot logon anywhere. Account numbers dont work. Support does not work. Chat bot sucks and does not work. They dont answer the phone. This is so frustrating i am cancelling.

They have been taking far more from our account after the contract was up than the service is worth. I have been on the phone waiting for literally 4 hours over 3 phone calls to cancel my service and still they have not answered. They just keep putting me in different queues that have no-one responding.

I waited 35 days until they came to install the broadband, after one month stop working, I am waiting now for 7 days without service, no Internet at all, if you calling them you wait 1 h for operator to answer, it is worse Internet you can get in Dublin

I am sick of not hearing back from you and no one is available when I call. I gave all the details of my problem with the lies told about me on a behind dlbars documentary. I have given you time to send me a copy. You not only told lies and slandered me.You lied about what I had said to a prisoner. You also disclosed my private health information. I am not going to tale this. You have had months to contact me v8a email. Yet you don't. I am now going to take this further legally.

I can honestly say this is the worst company that I have EVER had to deal with. They have bad business practices where customers are sold products on the promise of better services, their monthly broadband packages are exorbitant and they keep hiking their prices regularly for a service that is unstable and unreliable. Some staff seem to want to do a good job, but a culture of "we're too big to fail" means that moreover, the better staff do their best with services that are flawed. Customer care is poor, with some bulldogs in there who are aggressive and unprofessional. I would NEVER recommend Virgin Media as their services are problematic and dealing with them is very stressful!

The worst mobile operator with whom I had the misfortune to use services, constant problems with sending and receiving text messages. For over a month I have been trying to transfer my number to another operator and all this time virgin mobile makes it difficult for me to resign from their pseudo services, incompetent people work in company salons, claiming that they cannot help me with anything, 1908 still answered me at the given telephone number automatic, after a month I managed to contact the operator who demanded explanations why I want to resign from their services, then he assured me that the problem with the number porting will be solved and after 3 days the problem still exists and I can't transfer the number. To all those interested in the services of this network, I strongly advise against using the services of the operator of the Virgin Mobile network!

I have spent countless hours trying to cancel a pre contract with VM. I have been passed from pillar to post. They have NO CUSTOMER SERVICES. If you go on their site they offer LIVE CHAT. IT DOESN'T WORK!
After an age on whatsapp, repeating and repeating the same rubbish to me I was FINALLY given a number to ring. This number is not offered ANYWHERE on their site. You have to listen to sales talk to get offered this number.
I made it abundantly clear that I wanted to CANCEL Contract! Again it was made as difficult for me as they could to get to the point of telling them this, by more sakes talk. I spoke to a Scottish guy called SPENCER, who PROMISED to cancel it and to send me an email. One week later I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY EMAIL.
Then a girl called HILDE, of Asian extraction, I think, rang to talk about installation of their equipment. I told her I am not giving permission to install same. I made it clear to her that I WANT TO CANCEL MY CONTRACT. She said don't worry, the contract is cancelled. Again I'm waiting nearly a week for confirmation.
Today I spoke to an English man called David. He proceeded to waffle. I told him I only wanted to speak to him if he was going to cancel my contract. He was rude, replying well, of that's the case "goodbye". He then hung up. No consideration or effert to solve my problem. PLEASE ANYONE READING THIS DON'T EVEN CONSIDER USING VIRGIN MEDIA. Just read the review... They are unbelievably bad. I'm in late 70s and have heart condition, but there are people who are even worse off and can not get any response or result of their problem with this despicable company.

Terrible 'service provider'. Completely non-existent customer service. Signed up with them online for mobile offer beginning December 2022. Received the SIM by post. Submitted online request to port my number over from my existing provider per instructions. Request 'submitted successfully' but was never actioned. Permanent 20min wait time on their customer service number 1908 and no callback option (called several times in past 6weeks each time the same), no physical store to call into in my area, no answer to emails I sent to their customer.support email address and WhatsApp's I sent to their customer service business WhatsApp *******016 from 2nd December to 3rd January. Absolutely nothing! I sent a physical cancellation form to their head office address within the cooling off period aswell per instructions on their website and that was not actioned it seems as even though my number never ported to their network and no service was ever provided they continue to send me billing emails and direct debit notifications and even more laughably 'welcome' details for contacting them! They have submitted a request to debit my account 5th January per the mandate I signed in order to receive a service which was never provided! Currently seeking legal advice regarding making official complaint to Ombudsman and lack of complaints process per regulations. Save yourself a huge headache and do not sign up with this company.

Do not enter this nightmare guys, I contracted a sim mobile plan from them and even after canceling the contract and paying everything, with the attendant confirming that everything is settled and canceled (after 50 minutes on the phone), I just received an email with a bill to be paid next month. Here we go again to more stress

Tried to move internet & broadband with virgin media, was not tied into a contract, and was dearer than other suppliers, but decided to stay with VM for simplicity… big mistake! Still no service, new Vm box was to be delivered twice this week & got confirmation of time & date. No VM box still.

My husband hired Virgin for our home in Dublin and we were very pleased with it, however we had to move to a more distant town called Athy and at my address R14 YP52 Virgin unfortunately does, but I'd like to be confined with Virgin. And that's why we had to cancel our contract in less than a month of use I understand that this is not our fault because you are the ones who do not serve the area in which I moved. My husband called to request a cancellation, and we were told he would have to pay for the cancellation, however my husband doesn't speak english very well and the person who answered him spoke so fast he just nodded. I don't know if this complaint will change anything as we shouldn't have to pay for the cancellation since it was your mistake for not meeting our needs. I will go on all social media to post my disappointment.

Nightmare to get through to. Overcharged 2x months in a row. Vodafone alot better experiance more stable wifi. Customer care opens later.
Were involved in past in charging 13 months for 12 month contract.

NEVER use this company! I rang a few months ago to cancel my contract due to my redundancy. They offered me a reduced deal but when i explained that my house lease would be up before the new contract ended, they reassured me that the contract cancellation cost would be 150Euro per service. They did not explain that although i was only paying one DD with them and had signed just One contract with them, that they would actually be charging me 3 times to cancel my contract as it was a bundle contract. So instead of the 150 that I agreed to, they are now trying to charge me 450Euro! I told them how completely misleading their agent was, how i feel completely tricked and betrayed by a company I've used for more than 15 years but management don't care. They insist the wording the agent used was 'correct' even though it was completely misleading. My question asked for the cost of contract cancelation, so to only tell me 1/3 of the cost is dishonest, misleading and Corrupt! Do not trust this company, they have absolutely no loyalty or concern for their customers. I was specifically ringing them to inform them of financial issues and instead of being transparent with me about cancellation costs, i was tricked and misled by their agents so that they could make their commission. DISGUSTING, DISHONEST COMPANY! Beware of these fraudsters, shop around, don't be fooled by their so called low prices because they will try to rob you if you leave them, even after 15yrs of being their customer! This issue is also logged with their regulator for investigation. This is fraud and a scam, please don't make the same mistake as me.

Terrible customer serive

Read my story and see if you can spot a pattern.

I signed up for a year contract. Only two days later we decided to cancel. However they delivered the TV/broadband equipment to my house a day earlier than expected, so now we're stuck with equipment we don't need. But no problem, we can send them back.

Two days later (after getting a poor deal with Sky) we decided to stick with Virgin. You'd think they'd be eager to have more customers?

I called them to reactivate the account. I gave serial numbers of the equipment we have.
No problem, they said, it's just an office activation - not a new account and no new equipment will be sent out.
* Got an email with a new account number.
* New equipment was sent out the next day.
* The service activation actually never happen and they never informed me.

Broadband was obviously not working so called them three days later.
The office activation didn't work and they didn't understand why.

I gave serial numbers of the equipment we have AGAIN.
No problem, they said AGAIN, it's just an office activation AGAIN - not a new account and no new equipment will be sent out.
* Got an email with a new account number AGAIN.
* New equipment was sent out the next day AGAIN.
* The service activation actually never happen and they never informed me AGAIN.

Still no TV/broadband. Waited a couple of days, so called them back.
The office activation didn't work AGAIN.

As I write this it's 10 days since I first tried to get setup.
Just called the technical support. The office activation didn't work and they didn't understand why AGAIN.

They said they would transfer me to sales team AGAIN - and specifically said that there were Sales people working on a Saturday.
* Got transferred - then got answer machine saying no sales team on a Saturday.

I called back 10 minutes later.
They said they would transfer me to sales team AGAIN - and specifically said AGAIN that there were Sales people working on a Saturday.
* Got transferred - then got answer machine AGAIN saying no sales team on a Saturday.

Their website says that the sales number is open Saturdays.
Tried calling it - got answer machine saying closed on Saturdays.

To sum up:
If they try to fix something and it goes wrong - they won't contact you to tell you. You'll have to figure that out for yourself.
One person won't handle your issues - it will get passed around to several people. So expect to repeat the same issue to many people.
Their support team don't know what the working hours of their sales team are.
During the week, every phone call will require you to wait 30 minutes.

Honestly the hassle I'm getting is not worth the offer they're giving.
I'll give at most two stars only because the people on the phone are nice to talk to.
