I got their first offer of wine - 6 bottles nice selection. I called to cancel the next shipmen but they said I was too late. They shipped the next shipment - 3 selections 2 of each one and the total cost $144.06 - That works out to $24.00 a bottle. Totally unhappy and feel that I should warn people. I cancelled on the 20th of February which they would not accept. Just received the wine today 3/6/2018. Other wine clubs have much better selections.

We do put a great deal of care and consideration into the selection process when choosing wines, but we realize wine is a completely subjective experience, and we want each and every one of our members to be absolutely content with every bottle. If you come across a bottle that you feel is under par to your preference, please let us know so we can take care of you! In regards to your 2nd club shipment. Scam - stay away!

Their NRA association should be enough reason to boycott them. But if you need more consider the nature of this scam:
A] despite 4 notices they refuse to cancel & sent me $144 shipment for only 6btl.
B] original shipment came damaged with the box open with no wine opener.
C] wines are mediocre at best.

Scam

Discounted and discontinued wines sold at premium prices. Save your money. You will get better quality at lower price at Trader Joe's.

Awe full Wine, dont buy!

Sure if this is even a real company or if theyre just adding a label to bad wine. This stuff is horrible, you would be better off drinking motor oil

I ordered the sampler box of 8 bottles of reds, then checked the reviews. Mistake. I called and then emailed my cancellation the next day. Got a cancellation number. Now one day later the wine is being delivered from California to Ohio in one day. I will be working with American Express to get this charge expunged. Stay away.

When an order is processed, we try and ship the items as soon as possible and generally quote 5-7 business days for shipments going to be delivered in the Midwest. If your membership was cancelled and you received a notification that the shipment was to be delivered the next business day, simply don't accept the shipment and have it sent back to us. We can issue a refund once the item is returned back to our warehouse. If you're not able to refuse the shipment, the courier tries to deliver the shipment 3 times and then will automatically return the shipment back to us. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience in this matter.

Lots of add on fees

When I joined this wine club they advertised wine would be $12-$16 per bottle. When i received the bill for 6 bottles the cost was $155.00 included was the following
Wine $96.00
Shipping $25.00
Sales tax 8% (interesting because I live in a state without sales tax)
Surcharge 17.00% (said this is because wine is difficult to ship.)
The wine was OK at best, Not worth it

Not only is their customer service pitiful, their wine leaves much to be desired. My initial thought behind this review was to focus on the bait and switch advertising deeply imbedded in the fine print, however the fact remains that their deception is spelled out in their contract. Therefore, I will focus on the quality of the wine that they produce. The first shipment was barely palatable and the second shipment was simply awful. I implore consumers to simply stay away from this company if you desire good tasting wine. In addition, do not expect their customer service team to be knowledgeable about the intricacies of their vineyards and their process of wine making. I am a strong proponent of you get what you pay for however in this instance you are getting poor quality for a high price once the fees are included. Heed my advice, stay away from this company.

I have bought some wine from this Vinesse Wine-Club. The wine wasn't bad, but wasn't exceptional either.
The problem I had was that they automatically send you a case of wine and charge your Credit Card without any notice.
You can refuse the wine but they will only refund part of the charge, that is they will deduct the shipping cost and impel a restocking fee.
So all these promises "if you are not 100% happy we'll refund" are bogus.
My advice: Stay away from these clubs that automatically send you shipments.
"Satisfaction guaranteed" for Vinesse means: NOTHING

Not a good experience

Regarding the wines themselves, the quality was moderately ok, but was overpriced through Vinesse as I saw many of the same wines in local stores for significantly less per bottle. My first shipment was better than those that followed. The quality mostly declined the longer I stayed in the club. In addition to this, about 6 or 7 shipments were returned over the last 6 months without any attempt at delivery. It took numerous calls to get them to credit the charges for these. I called both the shipping company and Vinesse many times as well as trying to resolve via email with Vinesse. The last email from Vinesse restated in no uncertain terms that they have no control over their courier not attempting delivery and they are unable to offer shipping via any other shipping company. At this point I would not rejoin the club for any reason as it was way too many headaches and no results for expensive so-so wines that were sometimes delivered and sometimes not.

Disgusting wine
December 5, 2017

I thought the wine was awful. Out of the 6 initial bottles I could tolerate 1 of the bottles. I did not have the problems everyone seems to have had with customer service. I was, however, charged $260 for my second shipment. I called immediately and asked what the price was for. Customer service did fix it right away, but I have to wait weeks for the refund. I'll be interested to see if I actually get it. For the wine they sell, it is not worth the price at all. Even Costco's cheap wine is far better than this wine

I signed up through my MileagePlusExporer card. I'm a wine lover and the offer was 2,500 miles when you sign up with Vinesse and 4,000 additional miles AFTER the second shipment. After the second shipment was on it's way and I had paid for it, I called Vinesse and cancelled. The first 2,500 points were in my account and after a month and a half still no 4,500 miles. I just spoke with Vinesse and they said since I didn't keep my account active 21 days after my second shipment I would not be receiving the 4,500 miles as advertised. Total scam and fine printed me. Go with a different company that doesn't try to fine print you. I

We do show that the membership was cancelled online through the Member Service Center before you had reached out to us via telephone in regards to the miles inquiry. Again, we would like to apologize for any misunderstanding in regards to the promotion. Had the cancellation occurred over the phone or with a rep over our Livechat feature, this information would have been disclosed to you prior to a cancellation being completed and we would've offered to place a hold on any/all shipments instead of cancelling, as you can hold shipments for up to 6 months at a time. Vinesse - it's a scam!

I understand you always need to read the fine print with these promotions, but Vinesse is extra shady in their non-disclosure. The first shipment is $41.95, but the second will be $133 AND if you're excited about the AAdvantage miles promotion, you will need to wait 21 days AFTER the second shipment. This means you will also get roped into at least one (possibly more) holiday 'special shipments' that cost considerably more. NOT WORTH IT!

My review is about how the business operates and not the wine. I was never told that someone would have to be home to sign. I knew I would not be home to sign when they only deliver to my house in the middle of work days. Then they charged me a 15% "restocking fee" when UPS couldn't deliver. They should have been upfront about that. It is clear that they know this is a problem and deliberately chose to hide it. That is why they get 1 star from me. This is an easy problem to fix and I hope they choose to do just that. Vinesse, you make to make it obvious to anyone signing up that they must be home to sign for the deliveries. See, it's easy.

I ordered some wine and and it took them 6 weeks to deliver it. In the meantime i cancelled the next order since it would give me too much wine on hand. I just checked my United Mileage Plus account and found my points were not credited. In short "Edmund Peterson" tell me I cancelled before 21 days from shipment were up. Thus I lost all my points. I could not find any 21 day reference for cancellation. The point is cancel the shipment or the "club" membership. They will err on their side. Do not order from this outfit. They lie!

I had their membership, placed an order once and then cancelled the recurring delivery. Thought they kept sending me all kinds of promotional offers in mail. And as much as I didn't care for their wines I accepted an offer of 6 bottles + 2 bottles as a gift for $49.99. Instead I received 6 bottles and was charged $125!
Customer service told me that I was not eligible for that offer that they mailed to me because I had previously had the membership! They offered to refund minus the restocking fee if I ship the bottles back. But this way I'm just loosing $40 for nothing! The representatives (spoke to 2) were not understanding of my disappointment and just kept repeating their policy. I do not recommend this company.
P.S. The wines themselves aren't anything special at all. Can find better deals in your local stores.
