They are not doing business honestly. They will take your money first, then it takes them up to 3 weeks for delivery. Then check this one out. A wine with retail price at $50/bottle (https://www.woodswholesalewine.com/products/2014-volker-eisele-family-estate-cabernet-sauvignon-napa-valley-usa-750ml?variant=*******9883¤cy=USD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI8KHb9KjX9AIVRYdbCh0UBAmBEAQYASABEgIiJ_D_BwE), they will sell you for $139! (

I initially received a mailing from this company advertising their wine club which had conflicting information. In prominent wording, the offer appeared to offer 2 extra bottles of wine to be included with the six they were offering. However, another insert in the mailing led me to believe that you might not get the other two bottles until you have received your second, full price order. I contacted the company and, after some research they did, they confirmed that you would only get your two extra free bottles with your second order, not as indicated in the prominent wording. With that I told them I was not interested in their company and that their advertising package left a bad taste in my mouth.
A few weeks later I received an advertisement from Vinesse wines for what appeared to be a similar offer of two free bottles with the first shipment. I called the company and they asked me to read a code number on my mailing address for the advertisement. After checking that number, customer service told me that, Yes, the two free bottles would be included in the first shipment. With that assurance I placed an order for their introductory package.
When I received the shipment of wine, I was a little concerned that there was no included information about connecting with their online website to monitor and schedule or cancel wines. I located the site online, but could not initially log into the site. There is no apparent way to begin your enrollment online because you need a passcode, etc. I subsequently made phone contact with their customer service people and they provided me with a number that they said should be used to gain entry. Unfortunately, that number did not work. Later I learned that the number they gave me was simply a customer number that did not get me access to the My Account Records.
Subsequently, I established contact through their chat feature and they manually gave me access. There is no way from the site that you can cancel your membership and stop future deliveries or charges. Their frequently asked questions section had no info on how to cancel. That concerned me. It prompted further research on my part about this company. They have much less than a stellar reputation.
Through the chat feature, typing with one of their representatives, I have now hopefully canceled membership and will not receive any future deliveries or charges. Because of my concern about this company, I contacted my MasterCard issuer to advise them not to accept any future charges from Vinesse Wines. However, I learned that the initial offering charge came from something called American Cellers Wine, a company I have never heard of.
In my opinion you should exercise financial caution when dealing with this company. There are many bad reviews about their wine, customer service and improper billing activities and apparently better business bureau complaints. Beware.
I recently joined the Vinesse wine club after reading the information provided on the company's website. I travel a lot for work, so I was looking for a fun wine club to try out, but understood that someone must be home to receive the delivery. This review is a bit long, but I hope it helps others avoid a headache.
For starters, the FAQ section CLEARLY states "Orders are typically processed and shipped within 48 business hours of receiving your order." Ok, great. I placed my order on Tuesday, October 11, so 48 hours later would be Thursday, October 13... but let's give a little leeway all the way to Wednesday, October 19th... I finally contacted Vinesse to check on my order status a full 5 business days after I placed the order because it still did not show up as shipped in my account. As of the morning of the 19th, my order hadn't shipped (as verified via email).
I decided to open a chat later in the day to see if I could cancel my order (because Vinesse had not responded to my request to cancel via email). The order HAD NOT SHIPPED when I started the chat conversation with their representative. Guess what miraculously happened while on the chat? The order had shipped and I could no longer cancel it. Guess what else? Even though the order "shipped" - as of today, Friday October 21, they cannot provide a tracking number to me and I was told today that shipping can take up to 10-14 business days!
Well, so much for their timeline and my effort to join a wine club that fit my schedule. I'm out of town for a minimum of three weeks beginning Monday and will not be able to receive the package (I work from home so I don't have a business address I can ship to). I had planned this delivery based on the information provided BY VINESSE on their website, which is woefully inaccurate!
Also, and the welcome e-mail I received stated this: Introductory Club Shipment 1 "Will arrive within 10 days." Um, let's see... we're 10 days in and I was just told today (21st) that it will be ANOTHER 10-14 days before the shipment arrives. AND - if I want to just have the shipment returned (because I am not available to receive it) I will have to pay a RESTOCKING FEE!
The customer service is just deplorable. The agents are nice, but they will not help to rectify a situation caused by their own company. If they cannot adhere to the timeline identified on their company website, the customer should not have to pay a restocking fee. They did offer to re-send the shipment at no cost; however, I will be gone for at least 3 weeks due to work, so I had planned on receiving this shipment before leaving for my travels. I am beyond frustrated with this company and will never do business with them again and will advise all friends/family to avoid doing business with them.
