If you're joining through an airline promotion, I'd suggest canceling as soon as you qualify for the miles. Note: you need to call to do this. Doing it through the website merely puts your account on hold. Four months later, a $120 shipment will show up on your door with no warning.
Just like everyone else. I ordered my first case with Vinesse which was fine but then the second month they charge me $130 for 6 bottles without my authorization, and do NOT send any emails of the dates that they were going to ship. Scams! I disputed with American express who were just as worthless Vinesse. Please people do not order from them. Go to local store. Vinesse needs to go out of bussiness ASAP!
It has been three weeks since I joined this club, and, I have yet to receive my first order. I have contacted customer supporters and they fail to take any responsibility for mismanagement of order, it's always someone else. In no way did customer satifaction enter the picture, would not even pay shipping on second order to make up for it. Poor at best.

I joined as part of a Hilton Honors promotion. I received my introductory shipment, and cancelled soon thereafter. First, you must be home to sign for the shipment, which is very inconvenient. Second, the cost of shipping makes this membership not cost-effective. I have tried four of the six wines that were sent. One variety had so much sediment that it was not drinkable. Two were mediocre, and one was decent. One of their selling points is that they will replace any wine you do not like. I called in order to have the wine with the sediment replaced. The customer service rep said that since I had cancelled my membership, I would need to pay $18 shipping to have the bottle replaced! I really cannot recommend this club. Their customer service is truly sub-par and their shipping costs are very high.

Tried the introductory shipment with American Airlines. Wines ok, but not much more. Expected better wine selection. A price under $7 x bottle is not bad.
Couldn't stop second shipment. They 'prepare' the shipment days before the ship date. This second shipment is costing $22 x bottle (S&H included). Hasn't shipped out yet, but they cannot stop it.
So now it gets quite expensive. And for $20 x bottle you can get quite lovely wines in most stores, wherever you live.
Not a good deal. AVOID.

I responded to an e-mail to get 6,500 miles on United if I bought wine from Vinesse American Cellars... The offering was 6 bottles for $48.95... the first shipment you would get 2,500 miles. I received the wine which was OK, drinkable, nothing special, but they did post the 2,500 miles quickly... then on the second shipment you would get 4,000 miles. I called to inquire as to the price and the 6 bottle shipment would cost $129.95... SO I asked if I could take advantage of a deal they had called grab bag for $89.95, shipping included. After asking if I am in a frequent flyer program, they said NO. The cheapest shipment to qualify for the additional 4,000 miles is 2 bottles for $52.95 plus 8% fee for what I don't know. This is $28.59 per bottle for wine which I can buy locally for around $8. Per bottle.
I need the 4000 miles for a ticket, so I ordered, but will cancel this club after receipt.
I had their membership, placed an order once and then cancelled the recurring delivery. Thought they kept sending me all kinds of promotional offers in mail. And as much as I didn't care for their wines I accepted an offer of 6 bottles + 2 bottles as a gift for $49.99. Instead I received 6 bottles and was charged $125!
Customer service told me that I was not eligible for that offer that they mailed to me because I had previously had the membership! They offered to refund minus the restocking fee if I ship the bottles back. But this way I'm just loosing $40 for nothing! The representatives (spoke to 2) were not understanding of my disappointment and just kept repeating their policy. I do not recommend this company.
P.S. The wines themselves aren't anything special at all. Can find better deals in your local stores.

I am turning this company over to the Better Business Bureau. They gave me no notice on the shipment, I only knew about it because of money (way too much) being taken out of my bank account. I will not accept the delivery and they better credit my account. Stay away from this company.

I too agree with everyone else. I love Nakedwines.com and they don't charge you like this. You have the option of $20/mo to be deducted and go into your angel account and you can use your funds anytime you choose. The winemakers are independent and they are passionate about their wine. You cannot get the wines they offer anywhere! The winemakers are great, customer service awesome and price is right! You're supporting will people that literally make a certain batch and our support keeps them in business. If you choose nakedwines.com, please tell them I sent you (Rebekah Collins). I don't think I get anything but I believe in supporting independent workers.
I placed an initial order for all white wine selection. What I received was half reds and white wine mix. The remaining white wines contained only one possibly drinkable bottle of chardonnay, so I asked for a return of the entire shipment refund, I was informed that I would have to pay for return shipping and to add insult injury an additional 15% restocking fee would be subtracted to the value of the return.
Our daughter and son gave us a membership to this wine club for Christmas. When we finally received the first deliver in March we were sadly disappointed. Only the Reisling was palatable. After opening one bottle each of the other two, we decided not to open the others. Our daughter will try and use them with orange juice. It would be nice to be able to pick your own bottles, getting two of the same isn't the way to go. If you dislike the wine your stuck with a second bottle you won't drink. Feel bad for my kids who were trying to do something nice for us. Going to stick with the wineries in the area.

When I joined this wine club they advertised wine would be $12-$16 per bottle. When i received the bill for 6 bottles the cost was $155.00 included was the following
Wine $96.00
Shipping $25.00
Sales tax 8% (interesting because I live in a state without sales tax)
Surcharge 17.00% (said this is because wine is difficult to ship.)
The wine was OK at best, Not worth it

I never do reviews, but I am ticked by these people so I am doing this one. I signed up for a short time just to get some wines sent around the holiday season and then a few more maybe to pick up United miles. Tried to delay before my card was charged when I saw the next shipment was going to be a $125+. Decided it wasn't worth that price, so called to cancel at various times for a week straight and never got through. I emailed to try to cancel after that, was told I could only do that on the phone. Then they charged my card and sent the wine anyway. Now they tell me I can send it back but I have to pay the $100 shipping fee. Don't waste your time, go to the store.

Ouch! I have belonged to other clubs before and I guess it is my fault for not paying much attention but after my initial "deal" to join the club (which pulled me in) I was shipped my second shipment at $133. Now when I saw my credit card statement two weeks earlier that was fine by me because the other club was basically the same price. Problem here is I only got 6 bottles compared to the 12 I have been used to getting from the other club. As I read the other reviews I guess this can fall in the scam category as that is a high price to pay for wine that can be gotten locally without paying for the shipping. I can get a great $20 bottle of wine here locally.
We apologize for any misunderstanding with the pricing for the American Cellars Wine Club. We do try to make it known that the regular shipments are $12-$16 plus delivery/taxes. We do offer different clubs at different price points which may work better for your wine needs. The wines we do select are generally not available to the public or from areas you otherwise wouldn't have exposure to. Again, we do apologize for any misunderstanding in this matter.
I bought into the wine club based on the flyer stating that the first shipment would be $42 including shipping and taxes. I received the wines, great customer service - a perfect transaction. Then, my second shipment posted to my online account for $178. The flyer stated $99 for future shipments. When I called to question the price, I was told that by agreeing to the terms and conditions - I agreed to pay $30 for shipping and the interstate alcohol sales tax. So, $48 for tax? I looked but I couldn't see where that $48 calculation came from. I didn't get an itemized receipt, so I have no idea where the money went. The customer service rep. Said the order processed, so I couldn't cancel it. I did end up cancelling my subscription.
Somehow they have me down as signing up for monthly deliveries. The wine isn't that great, and they won't take responsibility for the return -- which would cost me $20. The delivery was left on our back porch and not signed for. And they have no mechanism (they say) for giving me a return label.
Plus I was on hold for 25 minutes before a person came on to tell me that I'm stuck.
Placed an order very confident that this would be as good as other wine clubs that I'm part of. My order of 6 bottles came with only 4 in a stained and sticky box. It looked like 2 bottles broke and it messed up everything else.
Too bad I can't post a picture of it here.
Besides that, they placed my second order without letting me know, no tracking number and neither details of what I was going to get. I found out only because my credit card was charged $150 and I was like "what is this".
No communication, no tracking number and on top of that, extremely bad quality wines. 2 out of the 4 bottles were straight to the trash can. Their wines are so bad that they don't even exist on vivino, for example.
I do not recommend it and it looks like I was scammed really bad this time. (They won't refund my money either, even after telling them all of this)
Shipped without notice, charged for shipping and restocking fee of wine I didn't was-total bait and switch, was told I could have logged in to prevent shipment, but my login was " locked out" preventing. All I got then was "sorry for the inconvenience" Cost me $40 for wine I sent back, piece of mind not paying $130 for 6 bottles of bad wine!
The $40 teaser purchase was a decent buy though most of the wines i have never heard of.
I signed, put a hold on all shipments and went on vacation.
Came back, two boxes on my porch, $333 in wine i didn't order, wine that either i can't fine anywhere or i can buy locally for 25% less.
So i contacted "customer service", some guy named Kyle. Nice enough. I wanted to send the wine back. He said policy is no refunds for returns but he can give a 20% discount if i decide to keep them.

But here's the catch: you have to pay $36 for shipping 6 bottles, $42 for 9 bottles. So it's not really free.
But i didn't order them, i put my account on hold. They say there is no record of that. Hum. Guess i should have made a screen shot.
One box had 6 bottles, they charged me $140. All of those wines i can get locally for $100.
The other box had 9 bottles, they charged my $194. Most of the wines i have never heard of. About half i found locally for $12 a bottle, not $20. The others I can't find, but most wines i've never heard of, i've never heard of for a reason...
I paid by check and they tried to cash the check two times electronically. I noticed on my bank statement that the amount had been deducted twice from my checking account on 2 different dates, and then my back reimbursed me for the overpayment. Sketchy.
Answer: I don; t know what the policy is. They did agree to cancel the monyhly membership after much talking but claimed the box of wine had been sent out. They asked me not to accept the wine but UPS delivered it to a neighbor, therefore, I had to pick it up and return it. I had to pay UPS for returning the wine. It cost me money and I got no value.
