I ordered 2 things from this company... and problem on website put my order thru 5 times. My 2nd order never went thru but still showed uo on my paypal account. Nothing but problems ordering from this company, which is real disappointing as i do like the merchandise. But will not be ordering anymore here
I ordered a housecoat om 12/14/20 as a Christmas gift for my daughter-in-law and it was too large. She said she had just bought herself a new one so didn't need it. I returned it immediately at a UPS station on 12/26/20 following all instructions and it was in perfect condition, unworn and had all tags still attached. UPS tracking says it was out for delivery on 1/11/21 but nothing after that... calls and letters have got me no refund, just excuses. I will let my credit card company handle a refund for me and not order from Victorian Tracking again... excuses of COVID and Christmas are no longer working as I get packages immediately from other companies. Such a shame since this company has beautiful merchandise and I had so much more I wanted to order. I won't now. Wish I had read these reviews before I ordered.
I placed an order for a gown (a Christmas gift) that cost nearly $150 on Dec 12. Nine days later, I logged into my account to track my order. Ship date is blank. Tracking number is blank. Spoke with a customer service rep who was very friendly but couldn't find any information other than to confirm it was in stock (not backordered) and just wanted me to "trust" that it would arrive before Christmas. I said "I want to know if this actually shipped." So now my concern has been "escalated" which means in TWO DAYS, I can expect to hear from someone higher up in their service dept. That is horrible customer service. They should have transferred me to someone higher up immediately and figured out what the heck was going on with my order. In 2 days, it will be impossible to get this item in time for Christmas, as today is the last day for 2-day shipping. Extremely disappointed. Now I'm stuck scrambling to find another gift.
Same-day update: Just checked my credit card and it hasn't even been charged yet. So yeah, the service rep saying "it should get there in time" is not grounded in reality. I can't imagine they'd ship something without charging my card first. Reps are working in the dark, service is based on hopes and wishes, not facts!
Over the past few months, I have made several purchases both via VTC itself and eBay. Sadly, the operations of this company is a mess. I have received several orders either containing a wrong size, an incorrect item or an item not shipped in the package whatsoever. When you purchase through the VTC website, good luck reaching a customer service representative. They never pick up, the voicemail box is perpetually full and no one responds to your emails (although an automatically generated messages indicates someone will get back to you within 48 hours.) Thankfully, when you purchase through eBay, you will get better support as there is a dedicated representative named * who at least attempts to help and reach a timely solution. Bottom line, this is clearly a business wishing to reap the immediate sale and profit, without any real infrastructure in place or genuine support offered to their clients. I was hoping to be a long-term client, but unfortunately, my confidence in this company is pretty much gone.

Excellent service I have ordered from this company several times. It is always been delivered at the estimate time. The quality of the merchandise is outstanding. So much in the catalog that I want. LOL, just need to find more room for it. Very unique gifts, my friends are always surprised.
I ordered item 2 months ago I was patient because of the pandemic and then I inquired online they told me someone would get back to me and They never did so I did it again a few more times. They never did so I did it again a few more timesNothing so then I decide to call on hold for 12 minutes to get a recording saying we are sorry we can't take messages right now our mailbox is full I'm looking into a Better Business Bureau claim

Returned a defective teapot. Still waiting for a refund after 3 months and 4 phone calls, the excuse is always the same. "it hasn't been processed yet by our returns department," and "we need a tracking number," which has also been supplied every time I've called. If this isn't fraud, what is? Do yourself a favor and steer clear. I used to own a business, and we never had a problem providing a refund within 5 minutes when warranted. This is totally inexcusable.

I love their products. However, when I didn't receive my order, the customer service representative didn't allow for any credit or refund. I was really disappointed. The item was relatively inexpensive. I'm mostly saddened because I've spent a lot of money with the company in the past, but I've lost trust in them that they can either make sure my purchase gets to me or that they'd make it right.
After research on this item. I see that your item shipped 10-21-2019. Tracking number 92748999937363553005585543 The post office only holds tracking for 120 days. Since you've contacted us 5 months later I have requested from USPS to update us on that tracking number. I am very sorry that this happened I wish you would have let us know sooner so we could get this taken care of.
I purchased butter mints from Victorian Trading Co and they were expensive. I remember these wonderful mints from childhood so I went for it in spite of the cost and high shipping fees. I was so disappointed when they arrived. They had no mint or butter flavor. They just tasted bad. They were blobs of buttercream frosting made in someone's kitchen and shaped by hand (gross) into circles. They were not professionally manufactured as advertised. I expressed my disappointment to the person who made them and she became panicked that I contacted her directly even though the contact info was the only one included in the homemade packaging. At her request I took my feedback to Victorian Trading and basically was told tuff luck. They refused to refund me for this joke of a product and will not post any reviews I have written on their website. Buyer beware. This is not an honest company and who is regulating homemade food products produced in someone's kitchen?

So if you find your items are junk and damaged, you can blame EBAY for that. The girl who sells this stuff has truck loads of returns and damaged items and tries to pass them off as new. I have the actual photos of this with her caption saying, "eBay JUNK". The item I received was glued together (and globs of glue were everywhere). They wouldn't send me a hard-copy return label. I told told at least a dozen time that I do not have a printer but they wouldn't listen. They are sarcastic and nasty and told me "Maybe you could get your lawyer to print out a return label for you." eBay stood by them, because they work with them. I found out too, that eBay deletes all negative feedback in order to manipulate and make this, their seller look good. I gave them NEGATIVE FEEDBACK and eBay removed it. I wonder how many other people's NEGATIVE FEEDBACK was removed? They have some SCAM going on. BUYER BEWARE!
I am so sorry. After investigation I see that you were given 2 labels and 23 Days to return the item. As of today it has not been returned. We would be happy to help you, we just need you to return the product.
I ordered from this company merchandise in the amount of $72.94. This company website mailed this package to a very old address even though they have my correct address on file and I entered the correct address ordering. I paid thru paypal credit card and they have the correct address. Numerous ph calls today ( 6 of them, hang ups and transfers to mail boxes that are full and one cannot leave a message) I was told a manager would call me back. No one has contacted me. I am out my money and the merchandise. The customer service apparently is horrific after this experience today. I want my money back immediately and they can wait on their package to be returned, as they have mailed it a false address. Unbelievable, see the other neg feedback of this co.

I get email's everyday, way too many. I have tried to "Unsubscribe" 67 times. Still get emails every day. Tried contacting customer service. No reply. Beware
I wanted to follow up and make sure you were removed from the email list.
I ordered several items which were supposed to be new. When they came, it was obvious they were used. I ordered thru their store on ebay. The listing promised free shipping and free returns. When I got my refund, they tried to deduct $15 for postage for one item ( it was a ring, which I paid $3.29 to send back at the post office.) I filed a complaint with eBay, who agreed it was against their rules and issued a full refund to me. I filed a complaint against them with eBay.
The second item was refunded today. They tried to deduct $7.50 as "Not being in original package." Well, it was returned in the same plastic baggie with the handwritten label it had, proving the items was a customer return and not new as they claimed. It was also photographed in their listing to appear much larger on the hand than it actually is.
I again filed with eBay for a full refund. Here is what I wrote. Anyone who does business with them must be aware it's buyer beware! They are beyond dishonest and disreputable! There are many other better sites to shop on with nicer merchandise, GOOD customer service and reputation.
The original package was a plastic baggie with a hand written label. It was returned in same with a padded envelope. In no way is a plastic baggie worth $7.50. The ring was not new as stated in the listing, it was obvious used and repackaged when it was sent to me.
This is just spite on the part of the seller because I filed a complaint with eBay for lying, promising if I chose "just did not like" for an earlier, defective item, that I would get a prepaid shipping label. The message this was in was reported to eBay and they said they would investigate. I have also posted numerous negative reviews warning of all the deceptive things this seller does. Ebay might want to look on some of the internet review sites such as Yelp, PissedConsumer and SiteJabber, as this company has MANY bad reviews, all of which complain of the same lack of customer service, defective or damaged items and a hassle getting a full refund. The Better Business Bureau has them rated at B- with 2 of 5 stars. There are numerous complaints filed against them.
This is just spite on the part of this seller for my reporting her for lying.
I am due a FULL refund. The ring was not as stated, was not new and is much smaller than they make it look in the photo. VERY deceptive!

I ordered items for my vintage inspired white Christmas tree on December 3,2018. It is now the 7th! After checking for shipped/delivery date, (for the upteeth time), I find out one item is on backorder, the other still getting prepared in warehouse. What the heck? I got this info after calling so called customer service & speaking to a very "dry noninterested why are you calling here" customer service rep. I told her I was not used to my order taking this long to prepare to ship. That if I knew an item wasn't in stock, I wouldn't have ordered it since it was for Christmas. Both items I ordered were in stock. That's how I was able to place my order!
I don't know what the original thoughts were in starting VTC but as it is now not one "customer satisfaction" as this company's objective. As much as I like what's in their catalog, I can't order from Victorian Trading Compamy again due to their lack of customer satisfaction standards. I wish had found & read reviews first!
Inexcusable lack of customer service. Waiting on hold over and over is ridiculous. I do not recommend this company. Amazon has lower prices for Victorian items.

I was about to submit a sizable ($) order when I entered a promo code for free shipping-after hitting the submit button I went back to my cart, to my complete surprise and disgust, found that ALL of the prices on my order had increased, some as much as 100 %- will NEVER do business with them again. *BUYER BEWARE! As this is a very profitable practice, other companies may be doing the same! ALWAYS check & re-check your prices before hitting the "pay" button. I am totally outraged!
I recently received my order from the company only to find that what I had received was not what I had ordered. I called the 1-800 # and spoke with customer service agent Mary Pickford and the situation was handled with effeciency, grace and professionalism. What a pleasure!... I have been ordering from this company for many years and am always thrilled with my purchases and the service I receive. So two thumbs up for a much loved company. Looking forward to the next catalogue.
Terrible company. I had ordered a $150 coat and it was beautiful. However, after wearing it for a few minutes, the lining of the sleeves and bottom drooped out. I returned the coat. The original price was actually $299.95. Made in China. Still for that money I expect decent quality.
After receiving it back, they claimed that it takes 2 - 3 weeks to process a refund! Really? The refund I received was $22.85 short. The coat was not damaged, carefully wrapped, in a sturdy box, when I mailed. It was their faulty product, not my fault and they charge me for returning? Communication is slow and spotty. Now that I have demanded the remainder to be refunded as well, they are ignoring my e-mails.
I ordered a beautiful Victorian lady print framed in a gold frame. When it arrived I was shocked at how well packaged it was. When I opened it I was so surprised how lovely it was. The picture of it didn't do it justice. The frame was so detailed and the whole thing was just beautiful. Wire already on the back ready to hang. Matched my paint color.
