Victorian Trading Company is my favorite mail order company of all time. I never had the pleasure of going in any of their retail shops. The merchandise was top quality and nearly impossible to find anywhere else. I never had a problem with an order and I ordered wholesale from them when I had my own store and loved selling their items. Victorian things will come back into popularity some day, but lovers like me, where will we buy it until then? Just like when Victorian Homes magazine and Victorian Papers went out of business, I'm broken-hearted about it.

I am so sad Victorian Trading Co. Has discontinued their catalog. It was my favorite place to shop and it's sad that everything is being changed to online. Not all of us like to sit with a phone in hand. There is nothing like flipping through a catalog and having a nice cup of tea.

I Have Never Had a PROBLEM with this Co. Have been ordering for years too. I hadn't recieved a catalog for months so thought I would check it out. So sad they are closed. DAMIT! Mary Fuksa

Iv'e been ordering from Victorian Trading Co. For many years. Never had trouble with service. Orders were always correct, packed well, nothing broken. Sad to see them go.

I am heartbroken that this company has shut down. I was a customer for over 20 years and everything I ever bought from them was fabulous. They carried items that no one else does. I am sick that they are no longer in business.

I am aghast by the negative reviews. I have been a customer of VTC since the 80s, and my wedding dress was purchased from this wonderful company. Some of the complaints on here seem to have been posted by some real "Karens." And now VTC has gone out of business. Nothing I have ever purchased from them was anything less than excellent, and I've enjoyed their catalogs and highly literate product descriptions for years. And now they are gone. Thanks, everyone! NOT!

I used to buy lots of items from this company and always liked the items and was happy with my purchase until this past Christmas, when I tried to return an item which I bought as a gift for a friend, and she didn't think she could use it. Alright, ungrateful friend. BUT when I contacted the company, I received an email that the "ticket has been created" and that they would get back to me, typically within 72 hours. That was on December 30. It is now January 17, and I have not heard back. What is going on?

Ordered a pair of boots three months ago, I haven't even received a shipping confirmation yet (Order #*******). I was waiting patiently and customer service has not responded to my emails. I don't know if I can even get a refund--the site is down. Disappointed.

It appears only unhappy people write reviews here. So sad. I've bought from this company for years and had great purchases and customer service. Unfortunately, it appears they've gone out-of-business and I'll miss them and their catalogs.

This was my first time ordering from Victorian Trading Company and my experience has been unsatisfactory. I order 3 sets of plates from them on 12/20 and have not received them or received an email stating they have been shipped. I have tried viewing my order status online. Everytime i go to their website it is down. I also tried contacting them by email, but nobody has responded. Their automatic response states they will respond in less than 72 hours. I have yet to receive a response. I really wanted the plates I purchased, but at this point I'm ready to walk away. The processing fee and shipping fee should be waived at this point. It has been over the estimated shipping time. Luckily they have not charges my paypal. I am going to keep an eye on this, but at this point I am guessing I will not be receiving my order l.

I have been shopping with them for many years. This is a great company! Great quality products! Great service! I hope to shop with them for many years

15 days just to ship an item, mostly junk from China. Even charged my card MORE than what was the actual total. Please look around elsewhere before you buy, they are truly a terrible company. Slower than any company around. Very bad experience. Some of their $20 listings you can buy for 1 or 2 dollars direct from China if you want.

I get this is the world we live in, but I have never had a cup of tea that was worth dying over. If you don't care, then don't wonder why you got sick. Selling my set even though it is quite beautiful.

Q: Is the "WARNING" This item contains chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer or birth defects or other reproductive harm" label on the bottom there to warn of danger of the BOX or the TEA SET? I have purchased the tea pot as well as a set of four cups and saucers.

A: Thank you for your inquiry. The warning is for the porcelain due to the glazes used to porcelain, stoneware, and other ceramic dishware products.

Their catalog was lovely and full of amazing items but on the three times I ordered the quality was terrible. Bought a display box that was literally falling apart and had to be put back together. Bought clothing that was sewn terribly and glass items that were nothing like what was in the catalog. I did buy Christmas cards that were lovely and that was the one good purchase. Recently I saw a scarf, a bit high priced but lovely, found it at Walmart! So all in all not a good experience.

I bought a hat and had to return it for the poor fit. Purchased beginning of September and here we are in the middle of October and still no refund on my card. I even used their return label, but they don't know what the tracking number is off of their return label. Called customer service several times and keep getting the same response " I'll forward it to my supervisor and they will call you" which hasn't happened yet. If their managers cared at all for their customer base, they would definitely fix issues with their return department

I have waited and waited. They keep telling me it's on back order. I won't be shopping here again!

I have ordered products from this company for many years and have never been disappointed. Only sad I don't have more money to spend or a place to put all I want!

Ordered a antique brass octopus off eBay and it was from the Victoria trading company. When I received it was far from antique or brass it was plastic and when contacted them they gave me the run around will never order from this company again as it is a rip off and fake. Customer service sucks. Beware of this company as they are a fraud!
